So now it’s all over. We had to wait while Donald Trump and his supporters learnt how to count, but we can finally say that Joe Biden will be the next President of the USA.
Trump’s defeat has been predicted on these pages for well over a year, even to the point where I have constantly sought to reassure any doubters when the initial votes seemed to be going his way.
The margin of Joe Biden’s victory was smaller than expected by the opinion polls and the pollsters have been widely hammered for that fact, but what about the astrologers ?
How did the stargazers do ?
Well this article correlating astrologers predictions for the election shows us.
Out of 109 Astrologers who were prepared to put their professional expertise on the line, 52 went for Biden and 57 for Trump.
This is a pitiful result.
Granted some of these predictions were made a year or two back but most were relatively recent during the time that Joe Biden was the clear favourite in the polls.
So how could the majority of astrologers have picked Trump to win a 2nd term ?
18 of that group of 57 picked the Mango Mussolini in 2016, so it’s possible that some of their astrology picks were clouded by their own political preferences.
Anyone picking both Trump in 2016 and Biden in 2020, would obviously not be letting their own political opinions interfere with their astrological judgement.
Capricorn Research was one of only 5 astrologers out of 109 that got both elections right.
Think about that for a moment.
And on top of that there were many more astrologers who for one reason or another did not have the confidence to make a definite prediction one way or another.
This is an astonishing indictment of astrologers and their methods.
I don’ t need to gloat about my own success with these elections. I am not concerned about my standing in the astrological community.
However I am extremely invested in how serious astrology is viewed in the eyes of the world.
The US election is a worldwide thing. The whole campaign is covered in great depth in the media in most countries, often getting even more attention than their own politics.
So for astrologers to get these elections so wrong is a poor reflection on how astrology is seen.
On these results any serious observers would understandably dismiss our art and have as much respect for our practitioners as they do for QAnon conspiracy theorists.
This state of affairs is particularly upsetting because it is so unnecessary.
To get these two elections right does not require any great skill or knowledge of arcane astrological texts.
You don’t need to know about zodiacal releasing, asteroids, midpoints, arabic parts, secondary or tertiary progressions, horary astrology or any of the more exotic ideas that are bandied around on astrotwitter daily.
You don’t even need to know about mundane or political astrology.
A Presidential election is not like a golf tournament with 150 players all vying for a trophy.
There are only two candidates. The dates of the election and inauguration are fixed.
All that is required is to look at the two charts and examine the transits of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto at the time.
This is not rocket science. It is the simplest of all methods.
And it has consistently worked throughout every Presidential election in history.
I have said this many times but Donald Trump has a very straightforward chart.
He has the Sun in Gemini in the 10th house of career closely opposite the Moon in Sagittarius in the 4th house.
Consequently any transit to the Sun would simultaneously be hitting the Moon.
So what would the best planetary transit look like for Trump ?
Obviously when one planet is trine one of these and sextile the other.
What would the worst transit look like ?
Equally obviously when one planet is square to both his Sun and Moon.
Trump has a natal Sun / Uranus conjunction in his 10th house of career.
His Sun is also trine to Jupiter in the 2nd house of money.
So all we have to look out for is either Jupiter or Uranus making trine / sextile aspects to his Sun and Moon.
For the 2016 election, both Uranus and Jupiter were doing this.
Uranus was in Aries sextile his Sun and trine his Moon.
Jupiter was in Libra, returning to its natal position, sextile his Moon and trine his Sun.
This is the only time in his life that these two planets would be doing anything like this.
So a win in 2016 was obvious. I still insist that it was the clearest astrological prediction I have ever seen in my life. Thats why I was confident enough to bet on it 18 months before hand at odds of 40 / 1.
For any kind of material success the most difficult planet by some distance is Neptune.
For 2020 and the next couple of years, Neptune is square to Trump’s Sun and Moon.
This would be the worst possible transit that Trump could have. I can’t really spell it out any clearer.
There are other factors as well that back up his inevitable defeat in 2020.
The other difficult point in Trump’s natal chart is the Venus / Saturn conjunction in Cancer.
The 2020 election occurred with Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto all lined up opposite to this Venus / Saturn.
There are many other factors that back this up.

If you want to move away from simple transits and explore the chart of the election itself a Trump defeat is clearly indicated there.
There is an American tradition that the first polls open in a hamlet in New Hampshire quaintly entitled Dixville Notch.
Only 5 people from this village voted, all of them for Joe Biden. The first vote cast in the US election was immediately after midnight by a lifelong Republican who had flipped to the Democrats.
The chart for this moment and therefore the birth chart for the election is as clear as any.
In an election chart the incumbent would be signified by the 10th house ruler.
If the reader is in any doubt about this attribution the chart is showing it to be the case because the Moon is in Gemini ( Trump’s Sun sign ) in the 10th house.
So in this chart, Trump is the ruler of the 10th, Venus which is placed in Libra in the 2nd house.
Biden as his opponent is the ruler of the 4th house, so Mars in Aries in the 8th house.
As you can see both planets are strong in their own sign but Mars is retrograde, although it starts to go forward again next weekend.
Its fascinating also that Venus and Mars are opposite each other, showing the antagonism and the dramatic difference between the two candidates.
But who would win ?
Even a cursory knowledge of horary or contest charts would say that it is all about the Moon’s movements.
If the Moon is applying to the significator of one contestant, they will win.
If it is separating away from an aspect to the significator of one contestant, they will lose.
At midnight in Dixville Notch, the Moon was at 9 degrees Gemini, separating from a trine to Venus at 7 Libra for Trump and applying to a sextile to Mars at 16 Aries for Biden.
A double whammy and the clearest indication of a handover of power possible in this branch of astrology.
The other thing about these two elections is that this information is freely available. Just look at the ephemeris.
To other astrologers who got one or even two of these elections wrong, I don’t want to gloat. I just want them to tighten their methods so that in future they don’t get things wrong again.
For the sake of astrology itself.
There is only one person who I want to rub his nose in the shit of his own prediction.
This is a character who is as offensive as the Mango Mussolini himself, Gary Grinberg, the Numbers Guy.
This arsehole calls himself an astrologer but bases his ” knowledge ” entirely on the numbers 1 to 10 and charges his acolytes thousands of dollars for the privilege of watching him count.
But as we all know there are 70 million maggots in the US who have failed to grasp the simple act of counting numbers, so no doubt being utterly and humiliatingly wrong will not have a negative impact on Grinberg’s multi million dollar operation.
But to the serious astrologers out there – if we just focus on the basics, we can all get it right next time.
