Older English football fans will recognise this stage in the run up to a major tournament.
It’s all ” Two World Wars and One World Cup ” with the media bigging up our boys and banging on about the empire.
We get quaint little stories about the centre forward who married his childhood sweetheart and she now has a fashion business.
It’s all sound English virtues and how we will beat the foreigners because we have a God given right etc.
Right up until the moment when we get dumped on our arses by Iceland, Costa Rica or Norway, and then everyone realises that the nation who gave football to the world can’t even find 5 blokes to kick a dead ball 12 yards without ballooning it over the bar.
Instantly the media realise that their golden generation are just a golden shower, Colleen Rooney has become Rebekah Vardy and the manager is a hapless turnip.
But the media are like this about everything, particularly the Royal Family.
While the Daily Mail would have you believe that King Sally’s ( see Will Harry Come For Sally ? ) coronation is the World Cup Final, it is just the opening ceremony and the contest chart looks like a disaster for the home favourite.
The timing of the event has been selected to coincide with Archie’s birthday by Old Sal himself in order to avoid having to meet his daughter-in-law, which is presumably the equivalent of the Football Association arranging their opening match of the Euros to be played in Azerbaijan in order to keep the English hooligans from attending.
No-one bothered to tell him that this piece of passive aggressive manipulation would come back to bite him big time because it sets the astrological tone for his reign.
Just in case any readers haven’t been following all the other articles I’ve written about this event, Like Rabbits In The Headlights – The Year Ahead For Chas And Joe and Charles’ Crown Of Thorns , King Sally has arranged to get himself anointed the morning after an eclipse.
But that just reflects his own life.
Astrology is very simple. Charles’ chart is dominated by one planet, that Moon in Taurus in the 10th house.
The Moon will often refer to the mother and Queen Elizabeth’s Sun is at 0.12 Taurus ( a mere quarter of a degree away ).
He also has a stellium in the 4th house so his life will be consumed by family issues.
Charles might have been relieved that Pluto’s transit square to his Moon finally brought the death of his mother and his ascension to the throne, but Liz wasn’t the only Taurus placement that’s frustrated him.
Princess Diana had a powerful T square focused on an apex 5th house Venus at 24 Taurus which was opposite Charles’ Sun.
So the main thrust of her life as the most photographed woman in history was far too much for this essentially private, secretive Scorpio.
This came to a head in 1992 when Pluto was conjunct Charles’ Sun and opposite Diana’s Venus when they split. For more on this see Charles and Diana – A Match Made In Heaven
But these Taurean tortures lived on in her sons.
Prince Harry has family issues of his own indicated by his 4th house Moon in Taurus opposite Saturn but they would inevitably be with Charles because that Moon is closely opposite his father’s Sun.
Saturn has squared both placements over the last year and the fallout has been profound. The publication of Harry’s autobiography Spare has given the family linen a thorough airing.
Charles would have been hoping that would be it, but with Uranus coming to conjunct Harry’s Moon, there could be much more to come.
Just like Charles himself, Harry’s Moon is referencing his mother.
As we’ve already discussed, Diana’s Venus is the apex of a tough T Square involving an opposition between her own Moon and Uranus in the 8th.
Uranus for Diana is all about the press intrusion and their role in her death as the chasing pack following her into the tunnel. This works both on that fateful day but also as a general theme. The paparazzi hounded her throughout her life.

It’s interesting that Uranus is about to conjunct Harry’s Moon and he is now launching himself into a series of court cases that will aim to bring the tabloids to justice for their phone tapping and harassment of the royal family that began with Diana and then Charles and Camilla.
Because Uranus will also be forming a conjunction with Diana’s Venus.
This has already shown that the Queen gave permission to sue the Murdoch press but also revealed secret deals that Charles has made trying to stop any kind of royal lawsuit in order to keep the media on side for his rehabilitation of Camilla.
And even with Uranus 3 degrees short of Harry’s Moon this story is starting to come through.
Given the eclipse conjunction with Uranus and the focus on the 4th and 10th houses again in the coronation chart, its clear that this story is going to snowball and become the next big issue.
But it won’t be the biggest.
Prince William has a number of chart themes in common with his own mother, the Cancer 7th house Sun, a very difficult Mars / Pluto combo in the 9th house, late Sagittarius rising but most pertinently an afflicted Venus in Taurus in the 5th house.
William was born on an eclipse in Cancer.
My first reaction at the time of his birth was that his life would see his own family eclipsed.
The theme has been a powerful one throughout his life. The break-up of his parent’s marriage and the loss of his mother is an important part but not all of it.
Diana might have died in 1997, but this theme persists in William’s life.
With the eclipse in his 7th house it would have a devastating impact on his own marriage.

Like his mother, William has a 5th house Taurus Venus in hard aspect to Uranus, so you would expect his love life to also be the subject of media hounding.
William’s Mars in Libra is conjunct Saturn and square his 7th house Moon which could easily suggest that he feels frustrated by the type of sex on offer within his marriage.
The 5th house governs affairs and he has Venus there at the apex of a Finger of God formation involving Neptune and Pluto. Together with the opposition to Uranus his bedroom tastes are unconventional to say the least and are also very likely to land him in trouble.
The Finger Of God pattern looks very like a peg.
He has the Sun and Moon conjunct in Cancer so he’s unlikely to stray much further than the girl next door.
You can be sure that if Capricorn Research knows about William’s bedroom proclivities and Capricorn Kate’s reluctance to indulge them, Rupert Murdoch has got the whole dossier on it together with recorded phone conversations and probably even the videos.
Harry’s court case has already revealed that William received a secret pay off from Murdoch. You can be sure that part of this deal was an agreement to keep any Norfolk nocturnals out of the papers.
But Harry has ignored his father and brother’s pressure to lay off the media and is pushing this through the courts.
Uranus will conjoin Harry’s Moon, oppose Charles Sun and conjunct William’s Venus over the next two years.
And this will hit William hardest because Uranus is opposite his natal Venus.
So the truth, or at least some of it, about William’s affairs will come out.
My feeling is that this will happen in the summer of 2024. Uranus reaches William’s Venus then but also transit Neptune will be square to his 7th house Sun.
William’s eclipsed Sun is closely conjunct his Descendant. This invariably means that the themes of the person’s marriage will dominate their life.
His Sun is opposite a 12th house Neptune which can point to clandestine activities and secrecy.
With a natal aspect like this, the issues will always come to a head when the slow mover makes another aspect by transit.
This will happen only once in William’s lifetime, Neptune begins its square to his Sun next May and between 2024 and 27 it will be aspecting both his 7th house Sun and Moon.
In 2025 Saturn joins in.
It’s really hard to see William and Kate surviving this double whammy transit, certainly not without major humiliation.
Kate has a really difficult chart.
Also born on an eclipse ( a lunar one ), her lights form a T square with a very difficult Saturn / Pluto conjunction.
It seems very likely that William’s trips next door coincided with both Saturn, Uranus and Pluto aspecting her Sun between 2015 and 2020.
Saturn will form a Grand Cross with this pattern in 2027 and Pluto will be conjunct her Venus.
Just at the same time that Pluto opposes Charles’ and Camilla’s Ascendants.
So William’s marriage will play the same role for Charles as his own marriage did for his mother.
An annus horribilis could quickly become an anus…. well you get the picture.
Pluto brought us Tampongate, Uranus could well be Pegasus.
It’s easy to look at rich people in the public eye and envy their wealth, but this doesn’t buy them freedom. In many ways the more prominent your life is the less freedom you have and you have to live out your charts under the constant gaze of the public.
Charles’ life would always have been dominated by family issues, that was a given from birth.
But did he really need to make matters much worse by getting married ( to Diana ) and crowned on an eclipse ?
It’s one think to be tied to the the themes of your birth chart, we all are. But we also do have some choice.
We don’t have to make matters much worse for ourselves by timing important moments in our lives with catastrophic astrological patterns that reinforce the hand that we were dealt with.
Charles might think he’s got himself out of trouble by ensuring that Meghan stays at home next weekend, but he should make the most of his short Jupiter honeymoon period, because Uranus is about to turn King Sally into an Aunt Sally.
So stand by for pictures of turnips with big ears.
