To be related to one Republican President would be considered unfortunate.
If it’s two, that has to be downright careless.

This details the most comprehensive research ever done on Astrology and proves that it has an effect beyond any possible doubt.
The discovery was that public figures are more likely to be born with the Sun on the eastern ( left hand ) side of the chart than anywhere else.
The article contained two charts used as examples to describe the basic difference between a left and right sided Sun.
Left sided people ( particularly 1st housers ) are people whose own agenda tends to dominate their lives and those of the people around them.
Right sided people ( especially 7th housers ) generally find that their own lives are strongly shaped by the themes of their relationship partners.
The example used for the first category was Madonna.
For the second category it was ex First Lady and first mother Barbara Bush.
Bush has a 7th house Sun. She is known for being someone’s wife. It is in Gemini, so she plays this kind of role for two people.
They were both Presidents and both named George.
It’s fairly clear that a critical area of Barbara Bush’s chart is the opposition between Mars in Cancer in the 8th house and the Moon and Jupiter in the 2nd.
She was obviously destined to marry into a wealthy family.
She first met her future husband at the age of 16 when her progressed Venus formed a conjunction with her Mars.
At 21 Gemini, George H W’s Sun was conjunct Barbara’s, but it was in the 10th house of career and opposite a 4th house Jupiter, showing someone from a wealthy family who would likely rise to the very top.
The aspects in his chart confirmed his good fortune because the Sun was part of an Air Grand Trine with the Moon, Mars and Saturn that formed a Kite with his Ascendant and North Node in Leo.
George’s Venus was closely conjunct Barbara’s Mars.
George had Mars right on the 7th house cusp so this would be a massively important placement for his own marriage.
When we are dealing with progressions we have to include minor aspects as well because the important planets move so slowly ( one degree per year on average ) that they make very few of them.
George Bush senior is proof of this because he first met Barbara when his progressed Venus was sesquiquadrate ( 135 degrees ) his 7th house Mars.
He married her in 1945 when his progressed Sun was sesquiquadrate that Mars
And his progressed Mars was sesquiquadrate his natal Venus.
George’s progressed Sun was also conjunct his Pluto at the time.
Another fascinating point here is that George was born with Venus retrograde so his progressed Sun and his Venus were moving towards each other.
He met Barbara when his progressed Sun and Venus formed a conjunction at 9 Cancer.
George H W Bush was inaugurated President in January 1989.
Given that Barbara met George when her progressed Venus was conjunct her Mars it’s fascinating that she became First Lady when her progressed Venus was both conjunct her Midheaven ( peak / career point ) and square to her 7th house Sun ( no longer just a housewife ).
The links don’t just end there either, because she met George senior when progressed Venus was conjunct her Cancer Mars and gave birth to George junior in 1946 when her progressed Mercury was conjunct her Mars.
The synastry is again stunning.
Just as HW’s Venus was conjunct Barbara’s Mars, George W’s Sun is conjunct it.
With the Moon / Jupiter conjunction at the base of the chart, Dubya was obviously going to inherit big time, particularly since it was right on the old man’s Libra Moon.
If we go back to look at Barbara’s chart
We can see that after her progressed Venus had reached the conjunction with Mars when she met her husband, there was not much left for it to do.
Her chart has a massive empty space apart from Neptune.
It’s next significant placement would be the Midheaven at 16.44 Virgo which is square to her Sun at 17.35 Gemini.
Barbara Bush’s progressed Venus reached the conjunction with her Midheaven and square to her Sun when George became President and she the First Lady in 1989.
Her progressed Sun was sextile her Venus in 2001 when Dubya became President and she the First Mother.
As I said at the beginning of this article, Barbara Bush’s chart appeared in the first piece that I wrote for this website as an example of a right sided and 7th house emphasis chart signifying someone whose own life was dominated by the themes of their marriage.
In fact if I’d picked the chart of Barbara’s step daughter and Dubya’s wife Laura, I’d have had an even better example.
Given that the Sun is 2.5 degrees away from the Descendant I would consider it to be a 7th house planet.
Its conjunction with Jupiter brings that in as well. So Laura Bush has a 5 planet 7th house stellium.
She obviously gained great benefit, both materially and status wise through her marriage.
Her Sun and Jupiter is trine George’s 13 degrees Cancer Sun. Her Pisces Moon forms a Grand Trine with it.
George and Laura met and married in 1977.
His progressed Venus was sextile his Saturn ( his 7th house co ruler )
Laura’s progressed Sun was trine her Pluto and progressed Mars opposite her Uranus.
She became First Lady with her progressed Mars trine her Jupiter.
Back in 1980 I was horrified when the US elected Ronald Reagan as President, a man who up to the point was best known for playing a B movie straight man alongside a monkey.
Twenty years later they went one further and actually voted for the monkey.
How on earth could such an obvious numbskull become the most powerful man on Earth.
I looked at George W Bush’s chart and realised that it was Jupiter closely conjunct his Moon and square to his Cancer Sun that presented him with such an obviously unearned fate.
But this theme runs through the entire family.
His dad had his Sun opposite a 4th house Jupiter.
His mum had a Moon / Jupiter conjunction in the 2nd house of money opposite a Cancer Mars.
His wife had a Sun / Jupiter conjunction on her Descendant.
Ronald Reagan himself had a a 2nd house Sun at the apex of a T Square including both a 4th house Moon and Jupiter.
Donald Trump also has the Sun in the 10th opposite Moon in the 4th trine and sextile Jupiter in the 2nd house.
Why do Americans insist on electing these arseholes who have done nothing themselves and are only there because of their massive inherited wealth ?
1980 Reagan, 1988 H W, 2000 W, 2016 Trump.
Each time there seems to be a contest to vote in someone richer and even more stupid than the last one.
Who will it be in 2028 ?
At this rate it will probably double Cancerian zillionaire Elon Musk.
Much as all right thinking people hate this United State of affairs it’s probably because the US chart has a close Venus / Jupiter conjunction in Cancer.
As far as Jupiter is concerned, the more you have the more you get.
Much as I hate it, I have to bow down before the astrology and recognise that there’s no point bleating about the Bush.
