Charles III – Return Of The King

We are all being currently bombarded by articles about how much has changed since Queen Elizabeth was crowned but the one thing that has grown beyond belief in that time is the power of the fourth estate.

The Queen’s coronation was the first outside TV broadcast in the world. A population who’d ” never had it so good ” were allowed a glimpse into the lives of those who had it a great deal better.

This time round every last detail of all of it is captured on everyone’s phones. From Andrew fondling his daughter’s bottom as they bend over to look at the flowers to the ” body language ” analysis of the comparative distance between Harry and Meghan holding hands and Peggy and Kate walking apart.

Seventy years ago the monarchy could control the media, nowadays its the other way round.

For now, the speeches with platitudes of service are being applauded while the contemptible grimace to a flunky for failing to put the pens in the right place is being ignored.

But there is the sense that all those videos are being kept for future reference.

To follow the most loved monarch in the whole of British history was always going to be a tall order but for now the media have kept their knives in their sheaths.

This is presumably more to do with respect for his mother than for any genuine reverence for King Charles, but there is already a sense that this state of affairs might not last that long.

Astrology exists not for us to be able to predict the future but to help us understand the themes of the moment and what the Universe requires of us all at any given time.

It is often the case that in times of great and difficult drama on earth, both Saturn and Pluto are involved.

This was certainly true for another tragic event that we remember this week.

September 11th 2001 saw Pluto conjunct the Ascendant of the US chart while at the same time Saturn was opposing it.

Earlier on this year I posted an article about The Roll Of Eclipses In Predicting The Death Of Kings And Queens

The three eclipses mentioned were the Lunar one in May 2022, the Solar one of October 2022 and the Solar one in April 2023.

The first two focused on Saturn afflictions to Liz’s T Square, the last one on Pluto to her Sun.

My feeling is that they were all pointing to her death but that the most likely one to actually bring it about was the Pluto one.

Elizabeth’s death and the future of the British monarchy are inevitably tied together.

What I now understand is that the first two indicated her actual physical death whereas the third one is likely to include Pluto taking its scythe to her legacy.

So the fact that there is a little distance between Saturn’s transits through Liz’s T Square and opposite Charles’ Sun and Pluto’s square to her Sun and his Moon is all part of the plan.

This little planetary respite is in order to give the new king a short honeymoon.

King Charles 111’s first Solar Return is as favourable as they come.

An exact Grand Trine involving the Sun, Ascendant and Neptune ( all within one degree ) is embellished by the inclusion of Mercury, Venus and Jupiter with a Pluto forming a Kite.

The Moon rising in Leo and the Sun in the 5th indicates the perfect year to ascend to the throne and this return is showing the favourable reception the new king is receiving.

But its Jupiter at the Midheaven that really crowns it.

This has happened before, intriguingly to another right old Charlie.

A few years back I wrote an article called Charles 11 – The Return Of The King detailing the fascinating astrology of the monarch who was born to rule but owing to the little fact that his father’s head was chopped off in 1649, he was exiled to the continent for a decade until the English had got bored with their experiment with revolution.

Charles 11’s SR for the year he was crowned also had Jupiter on the Midheaven.

It also showed the incredible back from the grave theme through the Sun and Moon conjunct Pluto in the 8th house.

His SR for 1649 was very scary indeed.

The Sun was still conjunct Pluto ( just about ) but had been joined by Saturn as part of the most intense and challenging combination of the 4 outer planets ever seen.

So with that as your Solar Return, it’s not surprising that you would be fleeing for your life.

How long will the press stay off Charles 111’s back ?

Well the eclipse of April 2023 is fairly nasty with a tight Sun / Moon / Pluto square right on his natal 10th house Moon.

And Charles’ next year’s Solar Return ?

It’s not nearly as bad as his namesake’s 1649 one so it’s unlikely that Charles will be executed or have to be exiled to Europe.

But with a Sun / Mars conjunction in the 3rd house, you can see the media gloves coming off big time and in times gone by the opposition to Uranus in the 9th would indicate rebellion in the colonies so is likely to result in a number of commonwealth countries moving towards republic status.

Neptune being opposite the Ascendant is difficult too.

Granted Neptune is trine the Sun so it’s unlikely that there would be a disintegration of Charles and Camilla’s marriage, but perhaps the old Tampongate themes might be getting a rerun.

So the Queen is dead. Long live the King, may he have a relatively untroubled next few months, because that’s the best he can hope for.
