Willam Belli is an American actor, drag queen, and recording artist, who is known for his recurring role as transsexual Cherry Peck in Nip/Tuck and for being a contestant of RuPaul’s Drag Race. In addition to acting, Belli found viral success with his music video parodies “Chow Down” and “Boy is a Bottom.”
Belli has the Sun in Cancer at the very base of his chart so he is destined to explore the deepest of issues about identity. He has an exceptionally powerful stellium of 5 planets in the 7th house of relationships including an exact Moon / Jupiter conjunction in Scorpio. Sexual relationships ( Moon in Scorpio in the 7th ) would be explored dramatically in an extravagant fashion ( conjunct Jupiter ), with a particular focus on transformation in gender issues ( also conjunct Pluto in Libra ). Mars and Saturn are also conjunct in the 7th so there would be tremendous energy expressed in these areas but against considerable opposition and obstruction.
Belli’s big breakthrough came in 2011 when he entered RuPaul’s Drag Race. Willam won the main challenges but was disqualified. He stated that his disqualification was due to conjugal visits made by his husband in his hotel room. Willam used the publicity of his disqualification to release his single “Chow Down,” which was a parody of Wilson Phillips’ “Hold On” that addressed the 2012 Chick-fil-A same-sex marriage controversy.
Viral success followed with Boy is a Bottom in 2013, the very title of which points to his own Sun in Cancer ( Boy ) conjunct the nadir ( Bottom ). Pluto was opposite his Sun, square his Ascendant and conjunct his Midheaven ( career peak ) from 2011 – 13. The transgender issues that Belli’s 7th house stellium required him to explore were bought to a much wider public.
