For many traditional astrologers, the three outer planets don’t play much of a role in the lives of their clients.

Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are unseen ( by the naked eye ) and largely unheard.

They are referred to in condescending tones as having a “ generational effect “ which is usually backed up by a couple of lines about the impact on humanity of their sojourn in any one sign. 

These astrologers are obsessed with house placements and rulerships to an unhealthy degree because it means they miss out on the real importance of interplanetary aspects.

There will be very few charts that don’t have any of their big three ( Sun, Moon, Ascendant ) in major aspect to one of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. 

These aspects will have a powerful impact on the natives lives, in ways which tie them in to the big themes of their generation. 

But putting this argument aside it’s interesting to see the views put forward for these outer planets sojourn in the signs.

Pluto in Capricorn has been a kick of the arse for the banking industry ( 2008 crisis ) in much the same as was for the religious industry in Sagittarius ( 11th September 2001 ), and the sex industry in Scorpio ( AIDS ). 

Uranus in Taurus has been heavily linked to radical changes in the financial sector ( crypto ), even though there seems to be less clarity about its role in the other signs.

But when it comes to assigning Neptune’s generational place, it all gets more nebulous. 

In Pisces – ummmm Covid ? Before that it all seems to get a bit hazy, which given the nature of the planet seems oddly appropriate.

For the purpose of this article I want to go back half a Zodiac and look at Neptune’s time in Virgo. 

The planet / sign combination might suggest notions of spiritual purity. A fine example of that would be the Dalai Lama who has the Moon in the sign conjunct Neptune as part of a Kite formation – see Dalai Lama – Been Here Before

But as we know, large chunks of humanity struggle to invoke the most positive attributes of their sign placements and often these outer planet periods are characterised by their very lowest manifestations. 

Neptune was in Virgo from 1928 to 1943, a period which coincided with fascism in Europe and the Nazis in particular.So the Virgoan search for purity easily becomes a racial one. 

Neptune has a natural fit with religion and its sign placing at the time may reflect something of the themes running through some of the organised religions.

The planet’s journey through Aquarius from 1998 to 2011 may account for the growth in Islamic and other ideological and fundamentalist movements that plagued the whole period.

I have always felt that the Catholic Church has a strongly Virgoan quality. Any religion that manages to ignore so much of the advice given by its founder while focusing a great deal of attention on the ” fact ” that his mother was a virgin, has got to resonate strongly with this sign.

I’m sure many of my readers are familiar with my most read article – Is This The Birthchart Of Jesus Christ where I produce convincing evidence that he was ” born under the sign of Virgo ” and that whole ” born of a virgin ” thing was simply a tragically cosmic example of Chinese whispers.

Ok, do your own research. Check out the charts of any Catholic friends or acquaintances for evidence of Virgo / Scorpio / Pluto placements.

One of the first organisations to make an appearance with Neptune in Virgo ( October 1928 ) was Opus Dei, a Catholic organisation whose purpose was ” spreading the universal call to holiness in ordinary life “.

Of course any religion has its left and right wings.

On the left we might have Jesus himself chucking the usurers out of the temple.

On the right we would have people like Ian Paisley and any number of American nutters.

Opus Dei belongs firmly to the Old Testament school, placing itself to the right of the Spanish Inquisition.

Astrological evidence for this assertion would be provided by its founder.

Josemaria Escriva has an extraordinary 5 planet conjunction contained within 5 degrees of Capricorn in the 4th house, including the Moon, Mercury, Jupiter and an exact ( to the minute ) Sun / Saturn.

With a Uranus / Pluto opposition focused by T square onto an apex Virgo Ascendant, this chart points to someone carrying their own personal hell around with them while trying to portray a holier than thou image.

Although not trying the hard as Escrivá once remarked that Hitler had been “badly treated” by the world and he further declared that “Hitler couldn’t have been such a bad person. He couldn’t have killed six million [Jews]. It couldn’t have been more than four million. “

Where are we going with this article ? Apart from a taking an easy opportunity to put the astro boot into the Catholic Church, which perhaps with the death of Archbastard sentenced pedophile who got off on a technicality, Cardinal Pell, is fair game.

Well there is one character who currently brings all these strands together.

He is the current Premier of New South Wales

Many of my UK readers have not yet made the obvious move to God’s Own Country so they probably have never heard of this character.

If it helps just think Jacob Rees Mogg, but two feet taller.

Mogg has a T Square with the Sun opposite Neptune focusing onto an apex Virgo Moon, which explains everything about him.

Perrottet has a Virgo Sun square Neptune with a Scorpio Moon thrown in for good measure.

Our Dom is the 3rd of 12 children born into a family full of members of Opus Dei. He already has 7 kids of his own.

Perrottet became the unelected Premier of New South Wales in October 2021 with Pluto trine his Sun.

But with less than 18 months to go before the next State election, Perrottet has tried to learn from the experience of his predecessor.

Bizarrely Gladys Berejiklian also has the Sun in late Virgo ( within a degree of Perrottet’s ).

She also has a Sun / Neptune aspect ( the sextile ).

She has a Scorpio flavour through the very close Sun / Pluto conjunction and her Venus being in that sign.

Berejiklian’s Sus / Moon square aspect would make her especially vulnerable to any outer planet transiting the later degrees of Mutable signs.

Like Donald Trump who also has Sun and Moon in these degrees ( 21 – 23 of Gemini and Sagittarius ), Neptune’s transit brought her down.

Unlike Donald, who refused to go willingly claiming that it never happened, Gladys saw the writing on the wall as soon as Neptune approached square to her Moon, recognised that there would be much more damage to come when it opposed her Sun and resigned from office, leaving politics altogether.

Berejiklian’s Neptunian scandal was financial, in that she knowingly turned a blind eye to her boyfriend making vast sums of money from rorting the state.

The financial / boyfriend nature of the scandal would no doubt be revealed by knowing Gladys’ birthtime. My suspicion is a 10th house Virgo stellium in square to a 7th house Moon.

Dominic Perrottet’s Neptune scandal it appears is more ideological than financial. And he has certainly benefitted from watching Gladys’ fall.

There are shades of Rishi Sunak here in his attempts to appear normal and not as barking mad as his predecessors.

In true Moon in Scorpio style he has so far managed to avoid showing his true hand, hoping to scraped though the election.

Right up until this week, a mere ten before that state elections.

As I have mentioned many times, when a major placement is in aspect to one of the slow movers, the first time that relationship is renewed by the outer planet transit will have a powerful impact on that person’s life, unleashing the full force of the natal aspect.

Dominic Perrottet has the Sun at 27 Virgo square Neptune at 24 Sagittarius.

Neptune has just reached 23 Pisces so the starting pistol has gone off, or in Neptune’s case more like the fog horn has been first sounded.

And all of a sudden he can’t see the finish line.

A few days ago the powers that be decided to postpone Berejiklian’s Royal Commission verdict until after the election, so that the electorate wouldn’t be reminded what a bunch of scumbags the Coalition are in time to dump them.

Then Perrottet skilfully managed to avoid his instinctive desire to honour Cardinal Pell with a state funeral, presumably because it would clash with the centennial celebrations of Hitler’s Muncih putsch.

For one person in particular this was the final straw.

David Elliott has been the Minister for Transport in Perrottet’s government.

Elliott is no stranger to Neptune moments. Indeed he had his own when at the end of 2019 with Neptune square to his Sun when he was Minister for the Police he was involved in ” an investigation into an alleged road rage incident involving a 17-year-old P-plate driver. Elliot had told the driver he “worked for the cops”.

This was quickly followed by a Facebook post in which he told a “mate” that he’d “rip your head off and shit in the hole”.

Following his atrocious handling of the train shutdown earlier this year ” Elliott attracted criticism for appearing to be unaware of the sequence of events which led to the shutdown, accusing the RTBU of engaging in “terrorist-like activity”, and for claiming that he did not know a shutdown would occur until the morning of Monday 21 February as he would have been asleep by 10pm the previous night. 

Following the handling of the shutdown, Elliott was rebuked by Premier Perrottet who stated “My expectation is that ministers are available around the clock. I certainly am, and I expect the same of my ministers”. 

Elliott also fell out with Perrottet over the Premier’s policy on trying to break the extremely powerful pokie machine lobby in NSW, a stance not unrelated to the fact that his family own many of the social clubs that provide them.

As a consequence David Elliott will not be standing in the March elections.

Yesterday evening the transport minister effectively accused Perrottet’s staff of leaking a story to the media about his son’s employment with a gambling company.

Elliott got his revenge by informing Perrottet that his political enemies had in their possession a photograph of the Premier at his own 21st birthday party dressed in a Nazi uniform and they were waiting to use this just before the election.

How did Elliott know this to be the case ? Possibly because he had just given it to them.

Elliott’s Sun / Pluto is square aspect is in square to Perrottet’s Sun / Neptune one so it’s not surprising that he was the agent that brought this to a head.

The Australian gambling lobby is very powerful and even the Pope doesn’t cross the Mafia.

So how does all this impact on Dom’s chance of staying in dominion in NSW ?

It’s always tricky trying to predict the fortunes of someone without knowing their birthtime.

If Perrottet was born in the evening he would have Uranus opposite his Moon and that would surely have an impact.

But if Donny Trump’s Neptune experience is anything to go by, Dommy Perrottet is surely about to sink without trace whilst whining and wailing about fake election results.

He would if it wasn’t for the guy that he’s up against.

It seems as if we’ve been flipped into some kind of last decanate of Virgo Universe, where all the players both past and present have their Suns in this sign.

Labor leader Chris Minns also has the Sun as part of a stellium in late Virgo. The Sun is also square to Neptune.

So the whole election is enveloped in some kind of Neptunian haze.

Maybe the slight advantage for Labor here is that transit Neptune will have passed the opposition to Minns’ Sun by the time the election comes round.

So where do we go from here ? Perhaps a look at the election date itself.

Regular readers will be aware that a contest chart cast for the opening of the polls will describe the election and can often accurately forecast the result.

When reading these charts, the Ascendant ruler signifies the governing party and the Descendant ruler the opposition party.

So with Aries rising, the Coalition would be Mars, weak in the final degrees of Gemini giving the impression of a government on its last legs.

Libra setting means Labor would be Venus, dignified in Taurus.

On a simple reading this would result in a Labor victory but its the Moon that would show the direction the public are heading.

The Moon has recently separated from a conjunction with Venus, indicating that Labor are losing support. Its also applying to Uranus indicating the possibility of a shock result.

What could Uranus represent ?

The Moon’s placing applying to Uranus in Taurus would indicate that the Green Party would have a part to play. Maybe we are looking at a hung parliament with the Greens holding the balance of power and allowing Labor to win by allying with them.

This outcome would also be indicated by the fact that Venus comes to conjunct Uranus so Labor and the Greens join together.

Its difficult to work out who is actually the leader of the Green Party in NSW. The most prominent voice so far is David Shoebridge.

This is now getting ridiculous. Shoebridge also has the Sun in late Virgo.

Perhaps the Uranus placing in the contest chart doesn’t refer to the Greens but to independent candidates.

Jupiter rising in that chart would normally benefit the governing party but it could also represent a 3rd party.

Jupiter rules the 9th house so the combination of Uranus and Jupiter in this chart might be referring to two groups of alternative, independent parties that have a big impact on the result.

The teal independents are a new force in Australian politics and played a significant role in bringing down the Morrison government in the 2022 Federal election.

So my feeling is for a technically hung result but the alliance between Labor and the Greens with support from other independents would enable Chris Minns to form a new government.

What if the Nazi uniform affair blows up to the point where Saint Dominic is forced to resign before we reach the last week in March ?

Could a change of leadership help the Liberals ?

The most likely candidate would be deputy leader Matt Kean.

Its times like this when you realise the gods are simply toying with us. The Universe is just basically taking the piss here.

Yet another one with the Sun in the last degrees of Virgo.

So getting rid of Perrottet wouldn’t help.

As one of these outer planets closes in on the end of a sign we can see evidence of the themes of its sojourn there beginning to break up. 

Neptune is coming to the end of Pisces now – currently at 24 degrees. 

Maybe to help our understanding of what this means for Saint Dominic Perrottet, we should look at how things were going at this stage in the career of one of his heroes.

When Neptune was at 24 Virgo, Adolf Hitler invaded the Soviet Union in June 1941, widely recognised as his big error just at the time when he had his foot on the throat of Europe. 

Over confidence was the thing that finished Hitler. The invasion spread Nazi resources to thinly and their armies became too dispersed and the previously well oiled machine slowly dissolved into chaos, a classically Neptunian way to lose a war.

By the time Neptune was established in Libra, Hitler was “ in a ditch, covered in petrol, on fire “ to quote Eddie Izzard. 

Saint Dominic’s Nazi uniform has already been soaked in the stuff.  

Or perhaps it’s they religious connection which provides the symbolic key here.

New South Wales has experienced record of amounts of rain in the last year, maybe this Neptune transit will claim all these tainted souls in one great biblical flood and render any election result void.
