The Uranian Life Of Citizen K

Most people once they become interested in serious astrology want to check out the charts of their family members. And they are amazed at the synastry and strong interrelated patterns.

There’s often one particular planetary theme that repeats powerfully for everyone involved.

Why have these people all come together in this life to have this collective experience?

We can only assume that they must have some kind of shared past with themes that still require work or learning. That they all interacted in one or many previous lives and have come back together to progress those same themes in a new situation and relationship.

They have chosen to re-engage with the same people because there is crossover with the patterns that each one needs to experience this time round.

One stunning thing that I have discovered is that our current charts do contain information about these previous lives, all we need is to know how to access this.

My recently discovered technique of Secondary Regressions makes this all possible.

All astrologers sit somewhere along the spectrum of theory and practice. As a triple Capricorn I am firmly planted at the latter end.

So rather than banging on about the philosophy of all this I will give you my most recent example.

This is of my client K who asked for a Past Life Review to see if there were any previous connections with her current family and friends.

Here is the review that I sent her.

“We might be looking at a past life review, but all we have to go on astrologically is our current life chart, so we have to start with the themes there and see what that brings up.

It is clear that the major pattern in your chart is your T square.

This involves Mercury and Venus in Aries in the 12th house opposite the Moon, Saturn and Neptune in Libra in the 6th and square to an apex Uranus in Cancer in the 3rd.

As this pattern relates most strongly to your current life themes, if we want to understand how the experiences of a previous life might have contributed to them, we should focus on it.

To find out more about this we use a method that I discovered and have developed which is called Secondary Regressions.

This is using the same method that constitutes Progressions (one day for a year) but taking them back before you were born.

The most important regression is that of your Sun, so if we want to look into a past life event that will have set the pattern for your T Square experiences in this life, we should regress your chart back to the date when your Sun was in it.

Your regressed Sun would actually aspect your T Square roughly every 90 years and each is a potential one to look at but my view is that the strongest patterns that might be carried over to this life would come from the most recent past ones.

The last time your regressed Sun was in your T square was when it was in Aries during the 1930s.

However you have asked to explore the possibility that a number of other relatives were involved in a previous life with you and two of them, (your mother and grandmother) were still alive then.

We could always look into this life at another time but for the purpose of this review, I am taking your chart back to the time your regressed Sun was in Capricorn, forming a Grand Cross with your T square, during the 1840s.

The fact that it is a Grand Cross with the regressed Sun making challenging aspects to all 6 planets involved suggests that this life would have been the most challenging and maybe even traumatic one.

There are two particular dates that stand out.

The 8th February 1841 has your regressed Sun exactly opposite your current life Uranus and square to your Venus.

The 12th of January 1848 has your regressed Sun exactly square to your Moon and square to your Saturn and Neptune.

This is a very important date in history, the start of the 1848 Revolutions in Europe.

“The revolutions of 1848, known in some countries as the Springtime of the Peoples or the Springtime of Nations, were a series of revolutions throughout Europe over the course of one year, from 1848 to 1849. It remains the most widespread revolutionary wave in European history to date.

The revolutions were essentially democratic and liberal in nature, with the aim of removing the old monarchical  structures and creating independent nation-states, as envisioned by romantic nationalism.

The revolutions spread across Europe after an initial revolution began in Italy in January 1848. Over 50 countries were affected, but with no significant coordination or cooperation among their respective revolutionaries. Some of the major contributing factors were widespread dissatisfaction with political leadership, demands for more participation in government and democracy, demands for freedom of the press, other demands made by the working class for economic rights, the upsurge of nationalism and the European potato failure, which triggered mass starvation, migration, and civil unrest.

The uprisings were led by temporary coalitions of workers and reformers, including figures from the middle and upper classes however, the coalitions did not hold together for long. Many of the revolutions were quickly suppressed, as tens of thousands of people were killed, and even more were forced into exile.

Significant lasting reforms included the abolition of serfdom in Austria and Hungary, the end of absolute monarchy in Denmark, and the introduction of representative democracy in the Netherlands. The revolutions were most important in France, the Netherlands, Italy, the Austrian empire, and the states of the German Confederation that would make up the German Empire in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The wave of uprisings ended in October 1849.”

Using divination I have discovered that in this life you were born in Split, in modern day Croatia and that your life experience pivoted around this revolution.

At that time, Croatia was part of the Hapsburg Empire.

“The 1840s featured the Croatian National Revival, a political and cultural campaign advocating the unity of South Slavs within the empire. Its primary focus was establishing a standard language as a counterweight to Hungarian while promoting Croatian literature and culture.

By the 1840s, the movement had changed from cultural goals to resisting Hungarian political demands.

During the Hungarian Revolution of 1848, Croatia sided with Austria, helping to defeat the Hungarians in 1849 and ushering in a Germanisation policy.”

So this regression puts your past life right in the middle of these revolutions.

I have a method that can work out when we were born in a previous life. This is done by regressing the Sun back to a point where it aspects the 4th house ruler of the person’s current life chart.

Your 4th house ruler is your Sun, so the first aspect that your regressed Sun makes to it before these dates is a trine in July 1833.

This would have made you between the ages of 7 and 15 during the period referred to.

You have asked about various people in your current life and if they were involved back then.

I have found that a horary cast for the moment I receive a request for a Past Life Review will reveal the major themes involved in it.

Horary is very helpful in this regard because it is not tied to your natal chart and can apply to any question about anything, even a past life.

This is particularly the case when it comes to identifying people and finding out what their roles were back then.

So here is yours.

The person asking the question in any horary is always identified by the chart ruler.

With Aquarius rising, you are Uranus.

Uranus is at 24 Taurus, the same sign as your Sun, Ascendant, Mars and Jupiter so obviously this is you.

It’s also impressive that Uranus is the apex planet of your T square and therefore the one that we are most focused on.

The odds against this combination occurring by chance are 120/1 against.

Taurus is a female sign, so you were a young girl in that 1840s life.

Uranus is in the 4th house, so for you the major themes were of home, land and family.

Uranus’ main aspect is the square to the Aquarius Ascendant.

So I feel that we already have a rebellious theme, someone whose family were involved in a revolution for their homeland.

There is another planet in the 4th house, Jupiter in Gemini, a male sign would signify your father.

Jupiter is the ruler of the 11th house, so I believe that your friend in your current life was your father in that one.

Jupiter is in the sign of its detriment and in the 6th house from the 11th, so I believe that she/your father was in poor health.

Its opposition aspect is significant because the Moon rules the 6th house of the chart and the 8th from the 11th.

So I believe your father died during this time.

Your mother would be the 4th house ruler which is Venus.

Venus is in Aries, so she would have been a man in this life.

This is also a good fit for her because her current life Moon is at the beginning of Aries.

Venus is in the 2nd house, but it is the 11th house relative the 4th house so she would have been a friend of yours and your family.

Venus is in detriment, retrograde and combust so in very poor shape.

Your sister would be the 3rd house ruler, Mars.

Mars is in Cancer within a couple of degrees of her current life Mars so again this is a good fit.

Mars being in Cancer she would be female, in the 5th house could indicate her being your child, except for the fact that you were too young, so I’m thinking she would have to be a family member and therefore either your sister, mother or aunt.

Mars is in the sign of its fall so there are definitely problems for her but it is also sextile Uranus and trine Saturn, so I believe that her relationship with you (Uranus) would be sustained throughout this period.

Your younger sister cannot be the 3rd house ruler, because that role has been taken by her.

I am therefore going with the 3rd from the 3rd ( your sister’s sister), which would be the 5th house.

The 5th ruler is Mercury, also in Aries which is a good fit for her as her current life Sun is in that sign.

So would also have been male in this life.

Mercury is also retrograde and combust so again in poor shape.

Like your Mum, Mercury’s placing in the 11th house relative to you (4th) suggests she was another friend of your family.

Mercury and Venus are with the Sun.

The Sun is the ruler of the 7th house, so this could be your ex partner. However the Sun is in Aries and he doesn’t have any Aries placements.

I am going with your grandmother because the 7th is the 4th (mother) from the 4th(mother).

Again this is a fit as her current life chart has the Moon in early Aries.

So she was also a man in this life and another family friend.

The Sun however is exalted in Aries. It is in its 8th house though (2nd is 8th from 7th).

My feeling from this is that your grandmother, mother and younger sister were all fighters (Aries) and that granny was the leader of their group but that they all died during the revolution.

The Sun is closely conjunct Neptune, so it’s likely that they drowned.

I’m not sure whether your ex was in this life at this stage, if he was he can’t be the 7th ruler because that has already been taken by your grandmother.

The closest planet to his natal chart would be the Moon, placed in his Sun sign, Sagittarius.

Can we find out more about all this using the astrology?

Clearly February 1841 was a traumatic time for you as your regressed Sun was opposite your current Uranus and square your ruler Venus.

If we look at your regressed solar return for that year we can get more of a sense of the themes.

A 4th house stellium with a Mercury/Venus/Pluto conjunction suggests the loss of a parent.

The tight Sun/Mars conjunction looks like it occurred in a military operation.

Given that, it is most likely to have marked the death of your father/friend.

The first thing to check would be to regress her chart back to this date to confirm whether or not she was there.

Uranus is an important player in your friend’s chart as well as its in close trine to her Sun and Venus and at the top of the chart.

It’s clear that the most important pattern is her very tight T Square, involving Mars in Cancer in the 8th house opposite her Moon in Capricorn and her apex 6th house Aries Sun.

This would indicate that health and her death would be important themes in this life, possibly triggered when transit Pluto, Uranus and Saturn were travelling through that T Square between the years 2015 and 2019.

If we regress her chart back to February 1841

The connection is really extraordinary.

Despite the fact that these dates are 120 years apart, her regressed Mars is in the same degree as her current life Mars.

This is because of its retrograde period.

Her regressed Saturn is also in the T Square opposite her Mars and conjunct her current life Moon.

Her regressed Sun is also trine her current life Sun.

So Feb 8th 1841 was a massively important date in your friend’s previous life and in some way linked to the major themes of her current life.

If we check out her regressed solar return for this year.

An exact Sun/Pluto conjunction (orb of one minute) means that she certainly died at this point.

With this conjunct Mars and Mercury in the 9th house, this was presumably on a foreign trip abroad.

With all this in Aries, it’s likely to have been some kind of military engagement.

If we apply the same regression to the 4th house ruler principle to her chart we would find that she was born in December 1815, making her/him 17 years old when you were born and 24 when she/he died.

Let’s check your older sister’s chart.

Uranus is again strong, being the apex planet of a wide T square involving an exact square to her Mercury and Neptune.

She has another closer T square involving an 8th house placement (her Sun).

The Sun’s opposition with Jupiter and an apex Pluto suggests that death and has been a significant theme for her in this life.

If we regress her Sun to conjunct her 4th house ruler, Saturn we discover that she was born in August 1816 in this life. This would make her roughly the same age as your friend/father, so she would have to be your mother or aunt.

Her regression for 1841 has the Sun at 1 Aquarius, quincunx that Pluto so this theme is likely to have been triggered here.

Her regressed Solar Return for 1841 might give more of a clue.

As in your friend’s solar return for that year, there is a Sun/Mars conjunction.

The Sun is 8th house ruler, so a military death theme is there again.

We have another T square involving Jupiter and an apex Neptune.

There is a strong focus on the 5th house however.

This indicates that looking after a child (you) becomes the most important theme for her.

The T Square apex Neptune in the 2nd house would certainly suggest financial struggles that would come as the result of your father’s death.

But I’m still not sure whether she was your mother or an aunt because the 7th house is not involved in this return.

The Sun is the ruler of the 8th house and the 9th.

This could mean the death (8th) of a brother in law (7th from 3rd).

So your older sister could well be your aunt, whose life changed in 1841 because she had to look after you. This would also fit with the horary as the 3rd house ruler (Mars) is in Cancer in the 5th (child) but on the cusp of the 6th (aunt).

This also suggests that your mother in this life would have died previously.

I would imagine this would have happened a couple of years previously when your regressed Sun was square to your Mercury.

We can check this by looking at your regressed Solar Return for that year.

This is a really difficult one with the Sun opposite a Scorpio Moon and a Grand Cross involving Venus (the chart and Sun ruler) in the 8th house, Mars, Saturn and Uranus.

As Saturn is the 4th house ruler and in such a close opposition with Venus, we can infer that the year 1839 marked the death of your mother.

However I don’t believe that your mother in that life is one of the current life characters that you have given me to check out.

Your grandmother had a powerful chart.

A Cardinal Grand Cross with an Aries Moon opposite Mercury square to Uranus and Neptune and a Sun/Pluto square would see to that.

The tight Moon/Uranus square would suggest some kind of rebel and freedom fighter.

She was certainly that in her past life.

A regression to her 4th house ruler Venus says that she was born in March 1816, so would have been a similar age to your father and your aunt.

Her regressed chart for 1848 places her right in the middle of the rebellion.

Her regressed Mars is exactly conjunct her Uranus and powerfully triggering her Grand Cross.

Her regressed Sun is also exactly sextile her Venus.

There are similar themes for her Regressed Solar return for that year.

She would have been aged 31 when the Revolution started.

Her Sun and Venus in the 10th opposite Uranus in the 4th with a T square apex Jupiter suggests she would have been a career soldier, and an officer fighting a revolutionary war for her homeland, the leader of a small platoon.

There are several very close aspects that are connected with death.

Mars is quincunx Venus.

The Sun is the apex of a Yod quincunx Pluto and Neptune which is also conjunct the 8thhouse ruler, the Moon.

Neptune’s involvement here reinforces the idea of drowning.

What about your current life mother?

Your mother has powerful synastry with her own mother.

She has the Moon in Aries conjunct Uranus in the 4th house.

This however is square to a Venus/Mars/Saturn conjunction in Capricorn which is all conjunct grandmother’s Uranus.

I would imagine their relationship was full of drama and it does seem to be related to their shared experience in 1848.

Checking regressions to your mother’s 4th house ruler would make her born in December 1824, so aged 23 in 1848.

Regressing her chart to this point in her past lives again powerfully connects with her current chart and the freedom fighter themes.

Her regressed Moon is again at the beginning of Aries, a mere degree away from her current life Moon.

Her regressed Mercury is also triggering this pattern exactly square her Venus and opposite her Uranus.

Her Solar Return for 1848 is also extremely difficult.

An exact T Square between her Sun, Jupiter and an apex Uranus in Aries again suggests a military campaign.

The Moon is also involved and it is square to Pluto, so she would not have survived it.

What about your other sister?

Your younger sister also has a powerful Uranus in exact conjunction with Pluto at the IC and opposite the Moon. She also has the Sun/Mars signature.

A regressed Solar aspect to her 4th house ruler Mercury means she was born in December 1819, so was 28 when the Revolution started.

Another one to this time in her past life again makes the powerful Mars connection.

Her regressed Mars was exactly square to her current life Sun.

Her regressed Sun is trine her Sun, so this was a major turning point in her past lives.

Your younger sister’s regressed Solar Return for the year of the Revolution is immensely powerful.

An exact Sun/Pluto conjunction (an orb of a few minutes) with a T Square involving the Moon, Venus, Mercury and an apex Mars on the cusp of her 8th house shows her death in this past life.

What about your ex partner?

Your ex also has a powerful Uranian theme with it closely opposite his Sun.

If we apply the 4th house ruler regression he would have been born in Jan 1831, so a couple of years older than you.

His regressions are strong for 1848 with the Sun in square to his Mercury and Venus conjunct his Mars.

His Solar Return for the year of the revolution

Despite being only 17 years old, an exact T Square with the Moon opposite an 8th house Jupiter and an apex Uranus in the 4th points to a noble death fighting a revolutionary cause for his homeland.

This is reinforced by Mars exactly opposite Venus in Scorpio, with Mercury, the 8th house ruler being right on the Ascendant in the same sign.

But who was he to you?

A look at your Solar Return for the year of the revolution gives us a clue as to who he was back then.

The Moon exactly opposite the chart ruler, Mercury conjunct Uranus in the 7th house with Saturn on the 7th cusp as part of a T Square and the Sun in the 8th looks ominously like the death of a partner.

So we have to assume that he was your boyfriend or possibly even your young husband.

From all of the above and using the date that the 4th house ruler regression method indicated, I have calculated your birthchart in this previous life.

This is an immensely challenging chart.

The Sun in Cancer in the 9th house is exactly square to Pluto.

The Moon is in Aquarius in the 4th house also aspecting Pluto

There is a Grand Cross involving your Ascendant, Mercury at the Midheaven, Neptune at the IC and Jupiter on the Descendant, showing an enormous stress on all the key areas of your life.

There is also a T Square from Mars in Leo in the 10th opposite Uranus in the 4th focusing on an apex chart ruler Venus in the 8th house.

The central theme of your life is there incorporating the idea of family and homeland, rebellion and military death on foreign fields.

The transits to this chart are immensely powerful picking out the turning points.

Transit Neptune was conjunct your Moon in 1839 when your mother died.

Transit Saturn was opposite your Sun when your father passed.

Transit Pluto was conjunct your Descendant when your partner died.

I believe you lived on until you were 50, and died in 1883 when transit Pluto and Saturn were conjunct your 8th house Venus.

This has been a fascinating and powerful glimpse into this past life. Perhaps it helps to explain why you and so many of the people you enquired about have charts with strong Uranian qualities in this life.”

So there you have it. This shows you the power of a recurring theme through several interrelated lives.

All of K’s family have powerful Uranian patterns and all bar her older sister involving an Aries Sun or Moon with a Moon/Uranus aspect.

It’s also interesting that K and her older sister were the only ones to survive the 1848 Revolution.

And it’s hardly surprising that a whole group of people who died fighting for the homeland would have some unresolved issues and some Mars/Uranus patterns that still needed to be worked through.

This is what keeps on bringing us back.

I can personally identify with this.

I have Uranus on my Descendant. In this life I spent the best part of 40 years of it in a dysfunctional relationship with my ex who herself has Mars in the 7th house opposite Uranus.

From my own regressions I have discovered that she killed me during the 1st World War. So there were obviously issues that still needed resolution.

Finding out about this past event has certainly helped me process it all and I now feel that there is nothing to continue there, I have resolved all this and can move on to my next life without requiring another one with her.

This is the point of astrological regression, to help with a different layer of understanding of who you really are and why you have particular synastry with other people.
