Whether it’s from our genetic inheritance or our early interactions with our parents and siblings or both, most behavioural scientists would say our character, major life themes and relationships are set by the time we start school.

Astrology wouldn’t necessarily disagree with this proposition, but would suggest that much of the above could be understood simply by studying the patterns made by the planets at the moment of our birth.

This is particularly the case when we look at our birth moment in comparison with those of other family members.

How can we tell which patterns we will share with which parent or even grandparent?

Will we rebel against some of these patterns and learn from their experience?

When we study the charts of other people in our family, we can see certain shared traits, some members that we are naturally drawn towards, some that we want and need to move away from.

In recent years I have discovered a method called the Regressed Relationship Chart that uses reverse Progressions to take our chart back to the date of birth of that family member, to help us see which of our natal chart themes we have inherited from them and will be triggered by our relationship with them.
