One important question that lingers around any study of past lives is why do we come back again?
The most likely thing that propels us back to life is unfinished business with it.
Most people’s lives end with some unresolved issues, some regrets and wishes that things had been different.
Even the wealthiest, most successful souls have areas of their lives that didn’t go according to plan.
What could that have been for Queen Elizabeth?
In my last article That Was A Killer, Queen, I showed that “all the major comings and goings of Elizabeth’s life, the birth of Charles, George’s death with her accession to the throne, her meeting with Philip, his death and even his birth are all pinpointed by the most powerful progressions in her life.”
But what could have prompted her to choose this life?
What unresolved theme or regret from her last life could have persuaded her to come back into the waves again to surf another one?
My observations and experience is that if someone is working through an incarnation as a very prominent person, it is likely that their recent lives would have a similar level of status.
This is just because of the ongoing themes that would continue from one life to another.
It’s unlikely that Queen Elizabeth would have been plain old Lizzie Smith, a simple lavatory cleaner from somewhere like Skegness last time round.
It makes sense that someone born to be such an important global figure would have a level of soul experience that was capable of coping with such a role.
In a previous article The Instantaneous Acceleration Of X And Y I showed how Elizabeth’s connection with her son Charles went back to the 18th century when he was Charles V1, Holy Roman Emperor and she was his daughter and successor Maria Theresa.
Maria Theresa died in 1780, so it’s likely that she would have had another life between that one and becoming Elizabeth.
What if we wanted to find her last life?

Instead of looking into the space ahead of her Sun at 0 Taurus where we see the comings and goings of this life, we look to the space behind this point so we can see her last one.
Looking back behind her Sun we can see it would have made regressed conjunctions to Mercury, Uranus, Venus, Jupiter and Mars in the 75 years before her birth.
Given that the most recent one was Mercury, ruler of her 8th house, we could surmise that this would be her death, so with a degree for a year for the regressed Sun, her last life would have ended around the turn of the century.
Which immediately intrigued me because I have heard people suggest that Elizabeth was a reincarnation of her own great, great grandmother, Queen Victoria, who died 25 years before she was born.

If we regress Elizabeth’s chart to the date of Victoria’s death, her Sun is exactly conjunct her 8th house Mercury.
Not only that but her regressed Venus is in her T square exactly conjunct her Mars.
This is already pointing strongly to the idea that Queen Elizabeth was Victoria in her last life.
After the Sun, the 2nd most important progression is that of Venus, particularly when it comes to the comings and goings of soulmates.
So it is intriguing that her death is indicated by such powerful Sun and Venus progressions.
It’s obvious that Philip was Elizabeth’s soulmate. In That Was A Killer, Queen I show that when Elizabeth died in 2022, Philip’s progressed Venus was conjunct his 7th house Moon.
Why would such a positive powerful progression happen for someone’s death?
As Philip had already died, this progression showed that he and Elizabeth were meeting up again as souls on the other side.
Going on the same principle, this regression of Elizabeth’s chart to the date of Victoria’s death, showed that the same thing was happening again.
In 1901, these two souls were again meeting in the celestial surfers car park.
When doing past life reviews for people, a great many of them seem to be focused around their death or the death of a loved one in that previous life.
This totally makes sense because it is the themes and any unresolved patterns that are around when someone dies that inevitably have to be carried over into the next life.
So if it is possible to see past life experience through one’s current life chart, there must be a clear link with that person’s last death.
It also seems reasonable to expect a link with their last birth as well.
One important point to make about progressions or regressions is we need to understand what is possible over the course of a lifetime.
The Sun, because it moves approximately 1 degree per year, will cover a quarter of the Zodiac in 90 years, so if we live that long we would expect one major aspect of the Sun to each of the placements in our chart.
The most important feature in Elizabeth’s chart is her T square with the apex Saturn, so the progressed Sun could only aspect that once in her life.
It did that by opposition in 1952-3 when her father died (progressed Sun opposite Saturn) and she became Queen (progressed Sun opposite Midheaven).
Venus has a different cycle.
Over time it moves along with the Sun, so would take an average of 365 years to get around the Zodiac, but its forward movement is not consistent and sequential like the Sun.
It will have forward and retrograde phases, so there are times in someone’s life when it can return to the same place.
Which is fascinating when we look at Elizabeth’s regressions to the moment Victoria was born.

Queen Victoria died at the age of 81, but Elizabeth’s regressed Venus at the time of both Victoria’s birth and death are within a degree of each other (21-22 Aquarius) right in the middle of her T square.
I don’t know how to calculate the odds against this occurring by chance but I suspect it would be many thousands to one against.
I have a method which enables me to divine when someone was born in a previous life.
This involves the regressed Sun forming an aspect to the person’s current life 4th house ruler.
Elizabeth has Taurus on her 4th house cusp, so Venus would be its ruler.
In her current chart, Venus is 13.57 Pisces.
Regressing her chart to Victoria’s birthdate, Elizabeth’s Sun is forming an exact sextile with her Venus.
So here we have absolute confirmation that Elizabeth was Victoria in her last life.
Victoria was born and died when Elizabeth’s regressed Venus was in her T square both times in forward motion.
This means that there would have been a period in Victoria’s life when Elizabeth’s Venus was retrograding back through it.
Victoria was crowned Queen on 28 June 1838 at the age of 19.

Elizabeth’s regressed Venus had returned to her T square, at 25.28 Aquarius, exactly (an orb of 4 minutes) square to her Midheaven.
It is important to remember that in 1952 when Elizabeth ascended to the throne, her progressed Sun was at 25.12 Taurus exactly (orb 20 minutes) opposite her Midheaven.
The odds of this combination happening by chance are 45,000 to 1 against.
It is also important to note the regressed Sun’s conjunction with Jupiter, a feature that became exact over the next two years.
One thing we all know about Queen Victoria was that she was devoted to her Prince Albert and devastated by his early death.
One of the first articles I wrote after my discovery of the link between progressions and soulmates was about the synastry between Victoria and Albert – You Naughty German Sausage
In it I note that “Victoria had no progressions to speak of during the first 14 years of her life.
Between 1834 and 36 when she met Albert, she had the progressed Sun trine Jupiter and sextile Mars.
She was crowned with the Progressed Sun trine and sextile her Nodes.
She married Albert with her Progressed Sun opposite her 7th house Uranus.
Albert had his progressed Venus conjunct his Ascendant when he met Victoria.
His progressed Sun was square to Uranus when she was crowned.
Albert has Mars in Gemini in the 10th house so it’s obvious that placement refers to Victoria and her role in his life, this was confirmed when his progressed Sun was square to that Mars when they married and he became Prince Consort.”
This is Elizabeth’s regressed chart for the date Victoria first met her sausage.

Elizabeth’s regressed Sun was at 0.22 Aquarius exactly square to her current Sun (0.12 Taurus).
Her regressed Moon was also closely conjunct her Sun.
Her regressed Venus was just entering the T square.
This is Elizabeth’s regressed chart for the date of Victoria’s marriage to Prince Albert.

The Sun/Jupiter conjunction has become exact.
Her regressed Venus has moved even tighter into the T Square.
Looking back through history it’s often the case, particularly for a female ruler that spouses were chosen not as love matches but as arranged political ones to strengthen their hold on the throne.
This was quite obviously not the case for Victoria and Elizabeth, both Albert and Philip were the love of their lives.
Victoria and Albert had nine children, Elizabeth and Philip had four.
Albert tragically died of typhoid fever at the age of 42. It marked a turning point in Victoria’s life,
“After Prince Albert’s death, Queen Victoria became deeply withdrawn from public life, entering a state of permanent mourning for the remaining 40 years of her life and rarely appearing in public. She was consumed by grief, which led her to maintain Albert’s rooms exactly as he had left them.
She famously wore black for the rest of her life and entered a state of deep depression and seclusion that lasted for many years. She retreated to her homes in Balmoral and Osborne, and largely avoided ceremonial functions expected of a monarch, which led to public impatience and criticism.
This seclusion initially led to a decline in her public popularity, though it eventually recovered.”
At this point in the article I think it makes sense to refresh Elizabeth’s current life chart so that readers don’t have to keep checking back to it.

If we regress Elizabeth’s chart to the date of Albert’s death.

Elizabeth’s T Square is again powerful activated.
Her regressed Sun and Mercury are square to her Saturn and Midheaven.
Her regressed Venus is opposite her 7th house Moon.
But one other very powerful consideration is regressions to her 8th house ruler Mercury at 4.38 Aries.
If you remember Victoria’s death in 1901, Elizabeth’s regressed Sun was exactly conjunct her Mercury.
For Albert’s death forty years earlier, Elizabeth’s regressed Mars is exactly square her Mercury (an orb of 1 minute).
The odds against all this happening by chance are in the countless billions to one against column. I feel we have concrete proof that Elizabeth is a reincarnation of Victoria.
What about Albert though?
Could he have returned to his soulmate as Philip to Elizabeth?
Perhaps if we look at their charts together there may be some clues.

Albert’s Mars is at 23.27 Gemini, a mere degree away from Philip’s Mars.
Albert’s Venus is 20.10 Leo, a mere two degrees from Philip’s 7th house Moon.
Albert’s Moon is at 2.18 Scorpio, opposite Philip’s Venus.
Albert’s Sun is at 2.04 Virgo, trine Philip’s Venus.
These are important considerations on their own.
What if we regress Philip’s chart to the date of Albert’s death?

Philip’s regressed Sun is exactly trine his current life 7th house Moon (orb of half a degree).
Philip’s regressed Venus is two degrees away from its current life position.
This is very significant, not least because you would expect a progressed Venus Return to happen on average 365 years later.
But the retrograde phases of Venus orbit can throw that out considerably, so we get this extraordinary situation where a Progressed Venus Return is happening in 60 odd years rather than 360.
What is more, Philip’s regressed Descendant is exactly conjunct his Venus (orb of 12 minutes).
Philip’s regressed Mars is exactly sextile his 7th house Mercury (1/3 degree).
Philip’s regressed Moon is exactly sextile his 7th house Neptune (and sextile Elizabeth’s 7th house Moon).
So given that there should always be strong links between someone’s death in one life and their birth in the next one, it looks like Albert came back as Philip.
What if we regress Philip’s chart to Albert’s birth?

Philip’s regressed Sun is exactly conjunct his current Uranus (orb 1/4 degree).
It is also opposite his current Jupiter.
Philip’s regressed Venus is in the 7th house exactly sextile his current Mars (1/2 degree) and closely trine his 7th house Moon.
Philip’s regressed Mars and Descendant are tightly square to his current 7th house Mercury and Descendant.
These 7th house connections make total sense because Victoria was born just a few months before Albert so Philip’s regressions would also serve for her birth.
What about Philip’s regressions to the date that Albert met Victoria?

Remember that Philip’s Venus at 5.43 Taurus is conjunct Elizabeth’s Sun.
Albert met Victoria 85 years before Philip was born.
Philip’s regressed Venus is in the 7th house at 6.23 Taurus, exactly conjunct its current position.
Philip’s regressed Mars is also in the 7th house exactly sextile (orb of 7 minutes) his current Mars.
Philip’s regressed Moon is also exactly sextile his current Venus (orb 1 degree).
In That Was A Killer, Queen I detail that when Philip met Elizabeth his progressed Sun and Mars were sextile his Venus.
So this was obviously the last time that Philip and Elizabeth met up as Albert and Victoria.
Coming back to the original question, what would have prompted Queen Elizabeth to choose her life?
With all of the above evidence, we can see quite clearly that she was Victoria last time around, so why would she want to come back as her great, great granddaughter?
Perhaps Victoria’s own chart can give us a clue.

When we think about the image of Queen Victoria, we don’t generally get a Sun, Moon, Ascendant Gemini vibe.
The dour, buttoned up, all clothed in black figure synonymous with “Victorian values” would surely be a Saturn character rather than a Mercurial one.
But this impression we have of her has been handed down as the result of her last 40 years of life.
With the Sun and Moon on her Ascendant she would naturally be a strong character, but she was a much more outgoing, passionate and open person before Albert died.
But you can see where the problems lie in her chart.
Uranus in the 7th and Neptune in the 8th are in square to an exact Saturn/Pluto conjunction, so it’s clear that the unexpected (Uranus) death (8th) of a husband (7th) would be a massive theme for her.
Particularly when we consider Albert’s chart.

Born in the same year as Victoria, Albert also has the Saturn/Pluto conjunction in Pisces but his is in the 8th house.
It is also part of a powerful Grand Cross involving his ruler Mercury, Mars, Uranus and Neptune.
Albert’s Mars at 23.27 Gemini is exactly opposite Victoria’s 7th house Uranus at 23.22 Sagittarius.
Albert died in December 1861 with transit Saturn at 22.21 Virgo, right in that Grand Cross and exactly conjunct his ruling Mercury.
Albert’s 8th house opposition theme between Mercury and Saturn was seriously triggered.
In Victoria’s chart Neptune is in the 8th house in square to Saturn at 28.44 Pisces
On 14th December 1861, when Albert died, transit Neptune was at 28.50 Pisces.
We can see that Albert’s death was powerfully factored into both of their charts, their synastry, their progressions and their transits.
So what regrets might Victoria have had at the end of her life when she returned to the celestial car park?
What would she have wanted to be different next time round?
The last 40 years of her life were consumed with grief for the loss of her soulmate and she had little interest in doing her job as Queen.
The one thing Victoria would have wanted was a long life with her naughty German sausage.
The thing is though, we all have to have all 10 planets involved in any life.
You can’t just come back without a Saturn.
Victoria would have surely promised to put up with all kinds of other Saturnian nonsense as long as it didn’t take her soulmate away early doors.
So she opted to come back as Elizabeth, having Philip around for 70 years.
But you also have to be careful what you wish for.
To a triple Gemini like Victoria, Albert’s Mars at 23 Gemini would mean that sausage would be all for her and nine children etc.
Next time round the sausage came back as Philip, who had Mars at 24 Gemini, conjunct his Sun.
Elizabeth however had the Sun in Taurus, so Philip’s sausage might have lasted a lot longer but it wasn’t exclusively for her.
Albert died when Victoria was 42.
By the time Elizabeth reached that age, she’d had her four kids and Philip’s sausage had left the building.
Just like when she was Victoria, Queen Elizabeth would have spent the rest of her life not being amused.
This is what happens when you choose a life with an apex Saturn.
You might go on forever, but you might also wish you hadn’t.
