Unlike most men, I’ve never been drawn to computer games. Apart from a brief flirtation with Championship Manager about 20 years ago, I’ve stayed away from the genre.
This could well be because most of them seem to reward fast reaction times and with a Sun, Moon and Ascendant in Capricorn……
I believe the appeal is that the gamer can gratuitously experience something of the great forces that govern life without having to get up from their armchair.
And I can get that fix by studying the astrological transits of famous people. The feels are very similar.
Jupiter transits will speed us along to the next level, Saturn will throw roadblocks in our way, Pluto will simply blow our path up and leave us to our own devices, Neptune for some inexplicable reason can dump us out of the game altogether.
But if there is one transit that will put us in an entirely new gaming scenario, it is Uranus.
We all have Uranian moments in our lives, when it seems that we make a quantum jump onto a new level.
Exactly when they will be depends on where the planet is relative to our major personal placements in our nativity.
If Uranus is conjunct, opposite or square to one of these, it is likely to trigger such a jump around the times when it renews those aspects, the classic times of change at the age of 21, 42 and 63.
These changes will reflect something of its natal placing as well.
I have Uranus exactly on my Descendant and am very fortunate to have it in tight conjunction with Jupiter.
So despite my triple Capricorn tendency to go on doing the same thing forever, when the time comes to jump up to a new game level, I tend to do it in giant leaps.
My last Uranian quantum jump (at age 63 when it squared my Ascendant/Descendant and itself) was the biggest upgrade of my life.
It was an entirely 7th house experience too as I met my soulmate, gave up everything and moved to the other side of the world to be with her.
For people with different Uranian aspects, these quantum jumps can come at other times, but they will still reflect the planet’s natal position.
One of my clients, Y has been the subject of several articles.
Y has Uranus exactly on the 5th house cusp, it is closely conjunct a 4th house Saturn and in tight trine aspect with her Moon and Ascendant in Leo.
Y’s Uranus transits therefore will have contain something of a brave new world quantum leap but are also likely to contain some sense of Saturnian loss around family.
Over the last 18 months, Y has been experiencing transit Uranus square to her Moon and Ascendant, triggering the natal trine between them.
At the beginning of this transit Y contacted me to say that she had a feeling that she had a past life as her own grandmother’s fiancee who was tragically killed at Pearl Harbour and she wanted me to use my methods to check whether her belief was true.
This, as you can imagine, is an unusual request, but if ever there was a chart that could back up such an enquiry it would be Y’s.
I will include parts of her Past Life Review.
“If past lives are to be indicated anywhere, it would be the 8th house and you have Mars in Aries there as part of a T Square involving Mercury and an apex Neptune.
Consequently, past lives and reincarnation would be a significant theme for you, even in this one.
This pattern is already hinting at a death in armed conflict (Mars in Aries in the 8th house) at sea (apex Neptune).
I always find it very helpful to look at a horary cast for when the client requests a Past Life Review, because as horary is not tied to your current chart or life, it can provide us with some important themes from your previous life.
This chart carried the specific question about whether you were a reincarnation of your grandmother’s fiancee who was killed at Pearl Harbour.
As the person asking the question you would be signified by the ruler of the Ascendant, which is Mercury.
Mercury is in Gemini, a masculine sign, so you were definitely male in this previous life.
Your grandmother, would be the 7th house ruler (4th for a parent, 4th from the 4th for a grandparent).
So she would be signified by Jupiter.
Mercury has just separated from a conjunction with Jupiter, so if we are assuming that she is involved, you would have just left her.
Your grandmother’s fiancee would be the 7th from the 7th, which is the first house, so Mercury, the same planet as you.
This is already indicating serious evidence that you were your grandmother’s partner in a previous life.
Mercury is applying to a square with Saturn, the ruler of the 8th house of death.
Saturn is in Pisces (a Water sign) in the 9th house, so your death in this life would have been abroad, at sea.
Another thing to take into account is that Mars is in Aries in tight square aspect with Pluto in the house of death.
The chief way to check whether you were her partner and died at Pearl Harbour would be to apply my method of Secondary Regressions to that date.
If that date played an important role in a previous life for you, your regressed Sun would make an significant aspect with a major placement in your current life’s chart.
On December 7th 1941 your regressed Sun moved back to 2 degrees Leo which is exactly conjunct your Venus (with an orb of just 6 minutes).
Mars being in Aries in the 9th house again refers to an armed conflict abroad.
The regressed Moon forms a Grand Trine with Mars and the Sun. There is a sense that in this life you were keen to be a sailor and serve your country.
It may be that you had only joined up within the previous 18 months.
We can see more of the themes by looking at a regressed Solar return for that year.
Your Solar Return Sun is in the 6th house in close square to Jupiter, ruler of the 9th house. This on its own would indicate that travelling would be bad for your health that year.
The Moon is tightly square to Pluto, the ruler of your 8th house, so indicating death.
The chart ruler, Mars is in Aries in the 1st house exactly opposite Venus in Libra in the 7th, showing that a military enterprise was causing a separation from your partner.
All this evidence would strongly point to you being your grandmother’s boyfriend in this previous life and that you did indeed die at Pearl Harbour.”
In August 2024, transit Uranus stationed at 27.15 Taurus, exactly square to Y’s Moon/Ascendant conjunction.
Y contacted me again because she had a difficult relationship with her mother and wanted to see if this had a connection with a past life experience with her.
This review brought up a powerful and traumatic past connection, one which I detailed in Y Are We Here?
This regression focused on an event in October 1825.
“The year 1825 takes your Sun back to 10 Aries which makes it conjunct your current 8th house Mars, so this must be an important time in your past life experience.
The Moon is also exactly quincunx the regressed Sun and your Mars.
The Sun and Moon in this chart form a Yod pattern with an 8th house Pluto in Scorpio.
This has to be related to a previous death.
As the Moon is exactly on the 7th house cusp, it seems to be connected with the death of a partner.”
“As Venus is in Virgo, you were female in this life.
Venus is in its fall in this sign and in the 12th house, we would have to assume that you were in very poor health and probably hospitalised.
Your mother as the 4th ruler would be Saturn in Pisces in the 6th house.
She would also be female.
Saturn is the planet of limitation and obstruction. With it being opposite Venus, the most likely interpretation would be that she was involved with your illness and possibly even responsible for it.
This opposition forms a T Square with two planets, Mars and Jupiter.
Mars and Jupiter are both in Gemini so they are men.
They are in the 8th house so there is a suggestion that your illness would have been related to their two deaths.
Mars is the ruler of the 7th house, so he would be your current husband.
What relationship would he be to you in this life?
As Venus was about to form a square with Mars, it seems that you were in a relationship with him and about to get married.
If we turn the chart to put the 4th house on the Ascendant, we can see what his relationship in this life is to your current mother.
The 8th house is the 5th from the 4th, so he would be her son in this life.
Jupiter co rules the 6th which is the 3rd from the 4th, so would signify her brother.
So your mother in this life was your would be mother in law in this previous one.
You were a native of the Flint area of Michigan, your intended and his family were settlers who had recently arrived from New York state.
His mother did not want him to marry an indigenous woman and she tried to prevent it by getting rid of you.
Given that her significator in the horary is in Pisces, I believe she tried to do this by poisoning you.
Your health suffered and you were hospitalised, but her own son (your intended husband) and her brother were also inadvertently poisoned and this resulted in both of their deaths.”
At this point I think it makes sense to have a look at Y’s current life chart again from the progressed/regressed perspective.
Y has powerful current life synastry with her mother.
They both have Mars in Aries (conjunct each other).
Y’s mother has that Mars in her 4th house in exact square to her Sun, so this is clearly a powerful family theme.
Her Moon is exactly square to Y’s own 4th house Saturn and Uranus.
Given this Aries Mars connection, it makes total sense that regressing Y’s chart to the date her Sun was conjunct her Mars triggered such a powerful past life experience involving her mother.
When I did this review I had not yet discovered the principle of progressions/regressions to someone’s birthdate.
Since coming across this method, I have retrospectively applied it to many of my past life clients and found it to produce staggering results.
Applying this to Y and taking her back to her mother’s birthdate reinforced this Mars theme.
When Y was born, Mars was retrograde at 10 Aries.
Her mother was born 31 years earlier, but Y’s regressed Mars was going forward at the same point.
One extraordinary point about this regression is that Mars is the focal point of a T square.
This T square involves the Moon in Cancer in the 12th opposite Neptune in the 6th.
This is the Universe’s way of saying that the mother figure (Moon in Cancer) that poisoned you (opposite Neptune in the 6th) and put you in hospital (Moon in 12th) in a previous life is being reborn now.
It is things like this happening that absolutely confirm that I am on the right track with this science of regressions.
When I did the Pearl Harbour review, I was surprised by the fact that the standout regression was the Sun conjunct Venus, as this is usually one which would identify the coming of a soulmate figure into someone’s life rather than their death in one.
But it makes sense in a way, because of the Sun’s relationship with Venus, which means they can never be further apart than 48 degrees.
Consequently regressing someone’s Sun back to a conjunction with Venus (or the other way round if Venus is ahead of the Sun in their nativity) would have to occur sometime within the half century before they were born.
If that person had a Sun/Venus conjunction, this regression would be occurring only a few years before their birth.
As a result it is likely to mark something that occurred late in their last life, and with a good chance of it pointing to their death.
Y has 45 degrees between her Sun and Venus, hence the regression to Pearl Harbour.
This was my thinking at the time I did the review, but Y’s Uranus transit added a completely new factor.
After doing the Michigan poisoning past life review in late August 2024, Uranus stopped and began to retrograde back away from the square to Y’s Moon and Ascendant.
It dropped back to 23 Taurus at the end of January 2025, before turning forward once more.
In May 2025, it squared Y’s Moon and Ascendant again and I received another past life request from her.
This one came completely out of left field.

“A few months ago I received a message from Y who had just discovered, at the age of 36 that the man that she assumed was her father, was not biologically so and she was conceived from a donor.
This would obviously be a shock for anyone, and it certainly was for her, but she is someone who has a naturally positive and extrovert nature, so she instantly set about trying to find out as much as she could about the donor, including his birth details.
She was excited that she had managed to establish a connection and a friendship with him, he was almost 50 years older than her and it transpired that he had been quite a prolific donor, and that she actually had as many as 200 biological half siblings.”
With Uranus back square to her Moon and Ascendant, Y naturally wanted another past life review, this time with her donor father.
“X has very powerful and favourable synastry with you, perhaps more so than you share with your Dad.
His Sun is opposite your Moon and Ascendant.
His Moon in Capricorn trine Mars and Saturn forms a Grand Trine with your own Sun.
His Ascendant and Pluto are conjunct your Venus.
It also seems particularly poignant that all three of these synastry patterns have been dramatically picked up by the current transits.”
Of all of these, transit Pluto opposite your Venus seems to be the most important one because it corresponds so tightly to X’s own Venus/Pluto opposition right across the Ascendant/Descendant axis.
It is this piece of synastry that powers this Past Life Review.
As you know, the main indicator of past life events and connections comes from Secondary Regressions, particularly that of the Sun.
When looking to see when an important player from one’s soul group would make an appearance in the person’s life, we check the Progressed Sun conjunct Venus (or vice versa).
Consequently to see the last time there would have been a contact between them in a previous life, we would regress the Sun back to the point where it conjoined Venus (or vice versa).
If we do that to your chart the result is extraordinary.
At the very moment that X was born, your regressed Sun was at 2.12 Leo, a mere 4 minutes from your current Venus position.
The odds of this occurring by chance would be 2700/1 against.
This absolutely confirms X as a very important member of your soul group and there is an indication that this is something that is strongly carried over from your last life.
In every past life review I look at a horary cast for the time when someone asks for one.
This chart is for this review.
The connections with all of the above are extremely powerful.
There is a Mars/Pluto opposition falling in the same degree areas that include your Venus and X’s Venus/Pluto opposition.
So we can instantly see that the horary relates to the question.
There is a very strong 8th house in this chart. A close conjunction with the North Node, Saturn, Venus and Neptune indicates that the event we are looking at for this review would have been the death of at least one of you in a previous life.
As chart ruler, you would be signified by the Sun. In the 9th house, it’s likely that you would be abroad.
The Sun being the apex of a T square involving Mars and Pluto suggests some kind of military event.
It is difficult to know how to place X in this chart.
He would not be the 4th house ruler because that would have to be the father that you grew up with.
I feel that because it is a mere half degree away from his Ascendant, X must be signified by Mars in Leo in the 12th.
Mars in Leo indicates that he was male in that life, in the 12th suggests that he was not a direct relation to you.
Mars being opposite Pluto and the ruler of the sign intercepted in the 8th means we are definitely talking about his past life death.
The T square to the apex Sun means that you were involved in this event as well.
One very significant thing that we know from the previous life reviews is that your last one was as your grandmother’s fiancée who died at Pearl Harbour.
All of the above and the tight connections with your own last life suggest that X was also killed at Pearl Harbour in his last life.
This would obviously mean he would have to have been reborn very soon afterwards, but I feel this is also indicated by the exact Jupiter/Saturn/Ascendant conjunction at the apex of the T square.
I believe X was born in Hawaii and died at Pearl Harbour the age of 16.
My feeling is that these two lives are linked. I also believe that could well be the reason that he came back so soon.
I think X came back in order to provide a vehicle through which many other souls who died at Pearl Harbour could also come back again, which he has done this time round as a donor.”
This is an extraordinary tale in itself but it also has powerful parallels with Y’s past life connections with her mother.
Y’s regressions to the date that her mother tried to kill her in 1825 and her birth in 1957, both focused on conjunctions with her Mars.
Y’s regressions to her’s and X’s deaths at Pearl Harbour and X’s birth both focused on conjunctions with her Venus.
After delivering Y’s past life review with X, Uranus moved on to sample life in Gemini, but then it returned and headed back to Taurus.
As it came back into range of the square to Y’s Moon once more, I heard from her again.
This time was to announce that she had made contact with five of her donor siblings and she wanted to know if any of them were like her and X, killed at Pearl Harbour.
So for this question we obviously needed another Past Life Horary
I will include the review that I sent to Y.
“Capricorn is rising so you are signified by Saturn.
Saturn is in the 3rd house of siblings which makes sense as this is what you are enquiring about.
It is conjunct the Moon and Neptune in that house.
This seems to be identifying two of your donor siblings. As all three are in Pisces, perhaps this accounts for the unusual quality of this relationship, but it also suggests you are sisters.
It’s a bit tricky trying to locate X in this chart, but I feel he may be Uranus in the 5th house.
This placement again emphasises the unusual nature of all of your births, but also because X has Uranus at 26 Taurus in square to his Aquarius Sun, so it fits him quite well.
The sextile between Uranus and Saturn, the Moon and Neptune shows the connection between you all.
As this question is about whether your siblings shared a past life experience with you at Pearl Harbour, my feeling is that the horary is saying that two of your sisters did.
Saturn also trines Jupiter, Venus and Mercury which seems to indicate that there are others involved but either they have not come back as siblings of yours, or if they have, you haven’t discovered them yet.
So let’s have a look at and see if regressions can tell us which of your new family were also at Pearl Harbour.
The obvious place to start would be with A.
A has extraordinarily strong synastry with you.
You both have a Leo Moon within a degree of the Ascendant.
Her Mars and Venus are within 3 degrees of your Sun.
You both have Uranus conjunct an impersonal planet in Sagittarius in your 4th houses.
I believe the odds of these combinations occurring by chance are over 5 million to 1 against.
So was A at Pearl Harbour?
A’s regressed Mars was exactly conjunct her current life Moon in December 1941.
Her regressed Venus was also only just over a degree away.
Her regressed Mercury was exactly conjunct her current life Venus and Mars.
So A definitely died at Pearl Harbour.
By my 4th house rulership method she/he would have been about 25 years old at the time of the battle.
Let’s have a look at A’s regressed solar return for that year.
An exact Sun/Pluto square aspect shows her death.
The opposition between Jupiter and Venus suggests that she/he would have left a wife behind.
The Sun’s placing in the 5th house also suggests that he was a father, with Mercury there possibly of two children, a son and a daughter.
I believe the strong synastry that you have with A indicates that you were probably mates in that life.
How about B?
Your synastry with B is not so tight as with A.
Her Sun is exactly trine your Mars and her Mars is exactly square to your Jupiter. Her Jupiter is exactly square to your Nodes.
Was she at Pearl Harbour?
One absolutely gobsmacking contact that comes up for B in December 1941 is that her regressed Mars is exactly (to the minute) square to her current life chart ruler and 8th house ruler, Venus.
Her regressed Sun is also close to her current Ascendant.
Her regressed Venus is exactly conjunct her Mercury, both current and regressed.
This would all confirm that B also died at Pearl Harbour.
Applying the 4th house ruler principle to B would suggest she was in her early 40s at the time.
How about her regressed solar return?
It’s interesting that all three of you have Mars in Aries in your regressed solar returns for the year of Pearl Harbour.
B has the Sun in the 1st house opposite the Moon in the 7th. She also has Mercury opposite Saturn and Uranus there.
My feeling is that B was a naval officer and her Jupiterian synastry with you suggests that he might have been your commanding officer back then.
B may well have been a bit of a player in her last life with “wives” in different ports.
How about C?
From the regressions alone, I’m not sure about C.
Her regressed Sun is close to her current Moon.
Her regressed Ascendant is even closer.
Her regressed Venus is sextile her Saturn.
If she was there she would also be in her mid 40s.
Lets’ have a look at C’s regressed solar return for 1941.
Another one with Mars in Aries can’t be a coincidence. The odds of all 4 of you having this placement are over 2700/1 against.
This one forms a T square with the Sun and an apex Moon in the 9th.
With Uranus on the 8th cusp this does look like the kind of return one might expect for someone killed in battle.
Venus in the 1st opposite Saturn in the 7th again looks like he left a wife behind.
A,B and C are all female in this life. Y also gave me the details of D and E who are male.
What about D?
While D’s regressed chart on its own looks like a possible killed in battle one, there aren’t any real strong connections with his current chart so I feel we have to rule him out.
How about E?
The same applies to E.
My view of past life connections is that they have to be really tight, within a degree at most.
So on balance I believe that your three sisters A, B and C were all killed at Pearl Harbour and have come back into your life through X.
Looking back at the horary, I believe that Saturn, the Moon and Neptune were all signifying your sisters.
We already knew that you were at Pearl Harbour so there was no need for Saturn to signify you, it just pointed us in the right direction.
Out of all of them, I feel that you and A have the closest connection and maybe there are more past life links with her from earlier on.”
Uranus will be staying square to Y’s Moon and Ascendant until April, so you wouldn’t bet against more discoveries coming through in the meantime.
In the 18 months since this transit began, Y has experienced a massive upgrade in her family. In her mid thirties she has acquired a new father and five siblings most of whom fought and died alongside her at Pearl Harbour.
All this work can appear complex, but for a seasoned astro gamer like myself who is used to navigating my way through dozens of charts and instantly spotting the key themes, it is a relatively straightforward task.
I retired from my short career as a virtual football manager after guiding Arsenal to win the treble of Champions League, Premier League and League Cup. I reasoned that it was as far as I could go in that pretend world and concentrated instead on astrological research.
And let’s face it, there is no parallel universe where Arsenal could actually achieve that feat so since then, I have focused my nerdy Capricorn 12th house stellium on uncovering some important truths about this one.
The science of secondary regressions may be looking backwards in time, but it marks a truly quantum leap forwards in our understanding of life.
