The A Road That Runs Through All Our Lives

One thing the never ceases to frustrate me is that so much of the discussion around astrology seems to require the listener to have a rationality bypass.

The assumption is that it is a right brained subject and logic would just get in the way of the feel of it, so should be left at the door.

People assimilate astrology stuff because it just feels right. There is no attempt to stop and consider what we are truly taking on. And I believe that this approach is a disservice to our science.

Most of the followers of astrology see it on the level of Sun signs, which if you think of it is a bit bizarre.

If the Universe has taken the trouble to create a matrix which means everyone born with the Sun in a particular month will have similar characteristics, why stop there? Why should that be the only factor?

And why would it be just the 30 degree sector rather than the exact position by degree and even minute of the Zodiac that matters?

Despite what most people seem to believe, astrology is a science, and an extremely precise one. They don’t see this because their own methods of assessment are inexact, so they assume the subject itself is.

I have always tried to apply logic to our subject, which might seem a strange thing to say, given that I have focused strongly over the last few years on the astrology of past lives, something that most scientists would say is illogical and impossible to prove.

Nevertheless, it is this branch of astrology that has really revealed to me just how exact the subject is.

These revelations have come through the use of Secondary Progressions/Regressions.

This is a much misunderstood area of astrology. It is actually more about people in our life and their comings and goings rather than events.

Over the last seven years I have discovered that Progressions is a method that is not tied to our current life, it has more to do with our soul’s path through them. They reveal when important members of our soul group come into this life in order to help us with our choices and experiences.

The extension of that discovery has led me to see that the same method, in reverse can show when these people were with us in our previous lifetimes.

This has opened up a whole new Universe and enabled me to create the Past Life Review, a very specific examination of the major events and relationships of our past lives, particularly in the way that they contribute to themes that we are experiencing in our current one.

I have recently made more discoveries linking our charts extremely closely to the birth of our soulmates or other important members of our soul group.

This is where the incredibly precise working of astrology has been revealed.

In a recent article – The Instantaneous Acceleration Of X And Y I write about the powerful soul group connection of King Charles and his mother Queen Elizabeth.

“Charles’ Sun is part of a 4th house stellium, so family themes are the main focus of his life.

His chart is dominated by the 10th house Moon.

The Moon rules the mother. Charles Moon is at 0.25 Taurus.

His Mum’s Sun is at 0.12 Taurus. The odds against that kind of synastry occurring by chance are over 800/1 against.

Elizabeth also has a planet at the top of her chart that dominates the rest. This is Saturn conjunct her Midheaven at the apex of a T square.

So her career is dominated by her sense of duty and responsibility.

Saturn is the principle of limitation. At 24 Scorpio, Elizabeth’s apex Saturn falls right on Charles’ Sun at 22 Scorpio.

If we progress Elizabeth’s chart to when her son was born.

That T square becomes a Grand Cross.

On 14th November 1948 (when Charles was born) her progressed Sun was exactly (3 minutes orb) square her natal Neptune, and square her Jupiter ( 1/2 degree). It is opposite her Saturn.

Now let’s stop at this point and have a think about this.

Readers of astrology articles are used to ploughing through pages of “this means that and that means this”. Many writers will use long paragraphs packed full of such references, so it’s very easy to skip over them without really processing what we are reading.

But when we are talking about progressions we have to stop and see this moment in terms of a whole lifetime or indeed several lifetimes.

If we look again at Elizabeth’s chart we can see that between her Sun on the 3rd house cusp and her Pluto in the 6th there is nothing at all.

So she would experience no Solar Progressed conjunctions until she was in her 70s.

In fact she would not have a progression anywhere near as powerful as this one unless she’d lived to be 110 years old.

When she was crowned, 5 years later her progressed Venus was square her Pluto and trine her Moon but this is nowhere near comparable.

So why should by far the most powerful progression of her life coincide with the birth of her oldest son?

This is because progressions are not specifically related to events in this life, they are geared to connections being remade with important members of our soul group who have been with us for many lifetimes and have chosen to play a particular role this time round.

Not convinced? Then how about this?

When Charles was born, Elizabeth’s progressed Sun was at 22.05 Taurus, exactly (1/3 degree orb) opposite Charles own Sun, a chance occurrence of over 500/1 against.

No doubt other astrologers have pointed to this progressed connection between mother and son. But I seriously doubt if anyone has looked at it the other way round.

If we take Charles’ chart back 22.5 years before he was born, to when his mother entered this world, his regressed Sun is exactly opposite his own Moon and therefore also opposite her Sun (with an orb of less than 1/2 degree).

So Charles has exactly the same progressed aspect for Elizabeth’s birth as she had for his one.

Which is bizarre.

But not only that, their progressed/regressed Moon’s do the same thing.

Elizabeth’s progressed Moon for Charles’ birth is at 13 Gemini, sextile her natal Moon at 12 Leo.

Charles regressed Moon for Elizabeth’s birth is at 1 Cancer, sextile his natal Moon at 0 Taurus.

Elizabeth’s progressed Mercury for Charles birth is at 0 Taurus, exactly (orb of 5 minutes) conjunct her Sun and Charles Moon.

Charles regressed Mercury for Elizabeth’s birth is at 22 Libra exactly trine Elizabeth’s Jupiter and sextile her Neptune.

The odds against all this happening by chance are off the scale.

Why? What is the point of all this?

The Universe is clearly trying to indicate some powerful connection that goes beyond this life because half of this relates to a moment more than two decades before Charles was born.”

And it is doing it with a precision that is incomprehensible even to most followers of astrology.

Since making this discovery I decided to look back at some past life reviews that I have done for clients to see if this soulmate birthdate thing worked with them as well. Of course it does.

A couple of years ago I was contacted by a client A. She wanted to look at a past life particularly in connection with her husband and her brother. In her own words

“I assume I must have some good karma with my husband as his Ascendant degree is the same as my Sun degree – to the exact degree. Also some bad karma with my brother, who has been abusive.”

These relationships are very clearly indicated in her chart.

A has a T square consisting of a Sun, Mercury, Mars conjunction in Aquarius opposite the Moon in Leo which focuses onto an apex Uranus in the 3rd house.

Her Sun relates to her husband, because it is conjunct her Descendant (the point of marriage in a chart) but also because it is a mere two minutes of orb away from his Ascendant (the odds of which happening by chance are over 5,000/1 against).

A’s apex Uranus relates to her brother. This makes sense as the 3rd rules siblings.

With an exact T Square involving Mercury, Pluto in the 4th house and an apex Cancer Ascendant, her brother clearly has some issues with his family.

So I decided to check the Progressions/Regressions to birth principle for this family group.

A’s husband is only 6 months older than her, so in that time there is little scope for progressed movements.

However, if we regress her chart to his birthdate, her Sun is still conjunct his Ascendant but now her Mercury is as well.

If we progress his chart to her birthdate, His Sun tightens its already close conjunction with Saturn in the 7th house.

So we can confirm that for A, the husband is her Ascendant, for the husband, A is the 7th house Saturn.

A’s brother was born a couple of years before her. If we take her chart back to that date, her regressed Sun and Mercury are exactly square to her 3rd house Uranus, the planet that we identified as being him in her chart.

If we take A’s brother’s chart forward to her birthdate, his progressed Mars is exactly square to his Moon (5.42 Gemini) and his progressed Sun is sextile to it.

So for A, Uranus is her brother and for him A is his Moon.

So we can see that all three of these people are strongly tied together in this life, but the fact that each person’s birth moment is so strongly picked out by their progressions/regressions shows the point at which these souls came into the lives of the others.

But what was the purpose of it all? Where did it come from?

Here is the Past Life Review that I did for A.

“The main purpose for doing a past life review is to gain understanding of some of the themes that may be being carried over into this one. Therefore we have to start with the major patterns in the current chart and see what that brings up.

There is a very strong pattern in your chart which is the T Square between the Sun/Mercury/Mars conjunction in Aquarius in the 6th house opposite the Moon in Leo in the 12th focusing onto an apex Uranus in the 3rd.

This can indicate family problems and with the apex Uranus in your 3rd house, there is a particular difficulty with your brother.

My recently discovered technique of Secondary Regressions allows us to look back into a past life to see what happened that might have contributed to you choosing a current incarnation where you are living with this T Square. So we should look to see when this was last triggered by your regressed Sun.

It moves backwards approximately one degree per year by regression so if you look back about 90 years before your current birth we get this one.

Your regressed Sun is exactly conjunct your Uranus in April 1889, so this was clearly an important event in your last life. A Regressed Solar Return for that year will give us more information.

Here we have an exact Grand Trine which is a very favourable aspect. The Sun is in the 4thhouse so the focus is on the home and family.

The Moon is in the 8th house and Uranus completes this from the 12th

This Grand Trine also forms a Kite with Saturn in the 10th opposite the Sun.

The Sun is square to an 8th house Neptune. What could this all mean?

There is clearly some sense of loss in the family. With the Moon in the 8th, it looks like the death of your mother.

With the Sun separating from an opposition with Saturn we could conclude that your father had already passed.

So how could such an event have such a favourable aspect?

I believe that Uranus represents another person who adopted you and looked after you.

Here is a horary timed for your Past Life Review request.

There is a remarkable similarity between the horary and the solar return chart which immediately shows we have stumbled upon something powerful.

Mercury as the chart ruler is you. In Capricorn suggests that you were female, in the 5th house, someone’s daughter.

Mercury is closely conjunct Mars, the 8th house ruler which suggests someone has died, but it isn’t you.

Jupiter the 4th house ruler is in the 8th, so it looks like your parent has passed, as it’s also in a female sign, this must have been your mother.

Jupiter is closely square to the Sun in the 6th house. It is the 12th house ruler so your mother had been ill and in hospital.

The Moon in Virgo is applying to a close trine with Mercury. This indicates that someone else looked after you, another woman.

The Moon is 11th house ruler so it would have been a friend of the family. I believe this lady adopted you.

The Moon however is opposite Neptune in the 7th house.

There is also a close opposition between the Ascendant (you) and Saturn in the 7th house.

Saturn is the ruler of the 5th house, but that is also the 7th from the 11th so I believe Saturn represents this lady’s husband who perhaps resented you.

Going back to your current life chart, I believe that we can ascertain when you were born in this life.

This is done by looking at when the regressed Sun was forming an aspect with your Moon, Ascendant, its ruler or 4th house ruler.

This would have happened in 1883.

Not only was your regressed Sun and Venus square your Moon, but your regressed Moon was conjunct your Sun. This is clearly the time of your birth.

It would have made you 5 years old when your mother died.

Your husband’s charts seem very strongly tied to the themes of this life.

He has the Sun conjunct Saturn in Virgo in the 7th house. This would indicate that taking responsibility for and supporting and look after his marriage partner would be an important theme in this life.

His Sun is conjunct the Ascendant and in the same sign as the Moon in the Past Life Horary.

If we regress him back to 1899 we get a powerful T square involving his regressed Ascendant, Sun at 7 Gemini and apex Moon at 7 Pisces.

The Sun in the 7th and the Moon in the 4th clearly indicate some conflict between marriage and family.

The Moon is closely trine an exact (to the minute) Venus/Jupiter conjunction in Cancer in the 8th house.

This places him as a very important figure in your life, probably one who came into it as this stage.

His regressed Solar Return for the year reinforces this.

The Sun is in the 4th house in tight square with Neptune and Pluto in the 12th.

All of this seems to be pointing to a compassionate act performed for a child linked with someone’s death that required a good deal of self sacrifice with the possible opposition of his own partner.

So I am going to conclude that your current husband was your adopted mother in your last life.

His role in this lifetime is quite similar to the one he had with you the last time round.

Taking your husband’s chart back further I would say that this lady adopted you when she was 17 years old. She had only been married herself for one year, perhaps explaining why her husband wasn’t happy with the adoption.

I believe we can see who her husband is in your current life.

Your brother has a very difficult chart for family themes.

An exact T square involving his Mercury in Aries in the 10th opposite Pluto in the 4th with an apex Cancer Ascendant, indicates a serious break from his family.

His Moon in square to Mars in the 8th house shows that these difficulties could have a past life theme.

If we take your brother’s chart back to the same date, his regressed Sun is square itself and also square to his IC.

We also have the same relationship between the Moon and Mars (a very close square aspect) that he has in his current life chart.

The opposition in this chart between the Ascendant and Pluto in the 7th house, shows that there would be a disagreement with his wife.

The other opposition between Venus and Saturn in the 5th shows that it was about the adoption.

Doing some dowsing around these charts I have come to the conclusion that you lived in the southern part of Colombia, South America, in a town called Sapuyes.

Taking your chart forward from 1889 it seems that the year 1910 was very important.

Your regressed Sun was conjunct your natal Saturn at this point. The T square formed between the Moon, Jupiter and an apex Venus shows that you were probably married then, at the age of 26.

Your Solar Return reinforces this with the Sun conjunct Venus and trine to a 7th house Pluto.

My feeling, however is that this wasn’t the easiest marriage. The Grand Cross involving Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune would bring many challenges.

I believe your husband was substantially older than you and he died in 1915.

You also lost your adoptive mother in 1918.

Although Colombia was not directly involved in the First World War, I believe there was a period of severe austerity caused by it and this had something to do with both deaths.

You lived on until 1946, dying in your last life at the age of 63.

I do believe that your brother in this life played a part in the last one. It seems that he was married to your adoptive mother (your current husband) and resented your presence in their lives.

I believe that he may have carried this resentment over into this lifetime.”

When we use progressions we need to look at a birthchart in a different light. We need to see it not simply as something that refers to this life alone.

The planets will point to important themes in our life, but they can also identify members of our soul group.

When our progressed or regressed Sun reaches the degree of those planets, this person enters our life.

With Charles, it’s obvious from his chart that his Moon refers to his mother. It would also be the most important relationship of his life.

If we regress his Sun back to its opposition with his Moon, that occurred exactly when she was born even though it was 22 years before he was.

By regressing his Sun back further to the conjunction with his Moon we could see a time in his past when this relationship with that soul (who was manifesting as Elizabeth this time round) began.

This I have identified was August 1740 and Charles 111 of the United Kingdom was Charles V1, the Holy Roman Emperor.

This moment in his past life coincided with his death.

Elizabeth was his mother in this life but his daughter Maria Theresa in that one. She succeeded him because he had created a law especially to change the succession to include women as he had no male heirs.

For more on this see The Instantaneous Acceleration of X And Y

With A, it’s clear from her chart that Uranus represents the soul who was this time round playing the part of her brother.

Her Uranus is in the 3rd house of siblings and is the apex of a T square.

Its close square to her Sun shows that her relationship with her brother would be a difficult one this time.

If we regress A’s chart back to the time when it formed a conjunction with Uranus we reach 1889 and can see when this theme began, as she was adopted into his family against his will by his young wife (A’s current life husband).

The next time that A’s regressed Sun formed an aspect with Uranus (the square) was when her brother was born this time round, even though it was two years before she was.

A is now 46 years old, her brother is 48.

The next time A’s progressed Sun reaches an aspect with her Uranus (the opposition) would be in approximately 40 years time.

Their relationship has been a difficult one so far this time round, the next connection could be equally challenging. If A is carrying unresolved feelings around her brother’s treatment of her in this life, they are likely to contribute to that next experience.

The point of having a past life review is to help us understand these connections and the themes that we have to share with our other soul group members. It also gives us the chance to work on accepting and improving them so that we don’t create karmic energy that could cause more difficulties to be resolved next time round.

Astrology is an exact science. And so are you.

The universe hasn’t gone to all this trouble just to give you some Sun sign characteristics.

You are precisely who, where and when you were meant to be.

You meet the right people at the right time.

Why should Secondary Progressions and Regressions shine this light on your path?

Because they are based on that particular connection of the Sun to the Earth – our essence to this particular life.

They are worked out by taking 1 turn of the Earth around on itself (1 day) to correspond with its journey around the Sun (1 year).

While transits can point to the requirements of this life, only progressions/regressions can reveal the soul’s path.

So if you want to step back and gain a true perspective of your life in context with your past ones, why not have a Past And Present Soulmate Review
