The powers that be have always respected astrology, you only have to look at the dates they chose for their festivals.
The early Christian church chose the Winter Solstice for their main one despite the fact that everyone knows their hero was a Virgo – see Is This The Birthchart Of Jesus Christ
They also nicked Aries and a Scorpio Moon for the other one – see The True Date Of Easter.
Halloween – Scorpio, Harvest – Virgo, Thanksgiving – Sagittarius etc, etc.
Even in modern politics the tradition still holds as the UK Tory party tried to fix the date of their elections for Taurus ensuring they would govern in perpetuity.
In the US, they’d rumbled this idea long before.
In What Does The Inauguration Chart Say About The Next Four Years? I wrote
“US Presidents are inaugurated on January 20th, which is an interesting choice of date.
Why is this given that the election occurs in the first week in November? Having read various articles on this question I can only conclude that it was because it used to take a long time for new Presidents to move all their furniture across the country.
Which is kind of bizarre and doesn’t happen anywhere else, even in large countries.
You would think that it might have occurred to someone that a lame duck narcissist might use the time in between to overthrow the democratic process or start a nuclear war or something.
This in a nation that is always harping on about checks and balances to ensure that there’s no chance of any one branch having too much power.
You might think they would use this system to check out whether the President was mentally balanced in the first place, but its Amurrica so…..
In fact these dates are never picked for no reason. January 20th will always fall at the beginning of Aquarius, which gives everyone the chance to say its a brave new world in the cradle of democracy.
Conveniently ignoring the fact that the election was held in Scorpio so they’ve probably already elected an evil bastard with a hidden agenda.”
Whoever they elect this time, you can guarantee that 50% of them will be convinced of that last line.
But which one will it be? Can the chart for the event help us at all?

The answer to that probably depends on your view of what Pluto in Aquarius means.
Will it be the brave new world of the first black female President?
Or the grave old one with an orange dictatorship?
When faced with these kind of astrological conundrums, I try not to just wing it with my own opinion or preferred option.
I try to go all Mercury in Capricorn in the 9th house and see if there is any precedent.
So let’s have a look at the last one.

Venus was in Capricorn in the 9th for Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2021, but we shouldn’t read too much into that because any chart cast for midday on 20th January is likely to have either Mercury or Venus there.
What we do have is the Sun closely conjunct Saturn, the 9th house ruler.
This could well suggest that Biden’s hands in office were tied by the Republican Party’s control over the Supreme Court and the fact that he did not have a majority in both houses of Congress.
The Sun’s square to a Moon/Mars/Uranus conjunction mostly in Taurus could point to the court’s decision to revoke Roe v Wade and the President’s inability to stop his country’s return to the reproductive Dark Ages.
This chart may be many things, but it certainly isn’t radical.
In my article posted during the week before the Inauguration, I wrote
“The critical point is that Joe Biden starts out with the dubious honour of having a Jupiter / Saturn conjunction.
I have mentioned this before in a number of articles as it occurs every 20 years and so will coincide with every 5th Inauguration.
Since 1881 every time a President was inaugurated under a Jupiter / Saturn conjunction, he did not complete his term because he died in office.
Some were assassinated – Garfield 1881, McKinley 1901 and Kennedy 1961. Harding 1921 and FDR 1941 died of natural causes.
The only one to survive a Jupiter / Saturn was Ronald Reagan 1981, who wasn’t really known for having much good sense but he had enough nous to employ an astrologer after an assassination attempt on his life, so managed to avoid the big planets curse.
George W Bush was inaugurated when Jupiter and Saturn were conjunct ( 2001 ) but it was a separating dissociate one with Jupiter having passed on into Gemini at the time. So he just had 9 / 11 and someone threw a shoe at him.
More details of all this can be found in Coincidence – The Greatest Conspiracy Theory Of All “
Given that we’d just had the January 6th 2021 – The Afternoon Of The Long Knives , I suggested the following –
“Not only is the Jupiter / Saturn conjunction present but it’s also conjunct the Sun in the 10th house at DC.
Also the Sun / Jupiter / Saturn is square to an awkward looking Moon / Mars / Uranus conjunction in the 12th house.
Note how exact that Mars / Uranus conjunction is. In the 12th it just screams out hidden sniper. In Taurus it points to some reactionary / conservative figure.
It is also square to Jupiter ( the President ).
There are plenty of anecdotes that indicate that the security forces were either complacent or complicit in the events at the Capitol building last week. One look at this chart would suggest the FBI and the Pentagon need to really get their act together for the coming one.”
I pointed out the similarities to the 1865 Inauguration chart where Abraham Lincoln was assassinated six weeks later.

“In those days inauguration fell in March with the Sun in Pisces.
But, like with Biden’s inauguration chart, here we have the Sun at the Midheaven ( the President ) in square to a Moon / Mars / Uranus conjunction in the 12th house.”
In President Harris – Might Be Sooner Than We Thought, I wrote
“Given all of the above, I would think the chances of Kamala Harris becoming President sometime between 2021 and 24, because Joe Biden is either assassinated, dies of old age or retires due to ill health is somewhere between 60 – 70 %.”
Last week Joe Biden dropped out of the race for 2024, so has effectively retired, a development that I believe backs up my assertion back in 2020.
I even predicted the exact day he would do that In The Name Of God, Go
“There is another Full Moon near these degrees heading our way.
The conjunction with Pluto here is even tighter and the fact that the chart drawn for Washington DC has Pluto exactly on the Descendant suggests that this time round the Universe is really ganging up on Dopey Joe.
As a week is a long time in politics, the Democrats have about three of them to get rid of Dozy Joe and find their own Churchill.”
Right on cue, Joe Biden dropped out of the race on that Full Moon.

This Full Moon fell in square to Joe Biden’s own Moon at 0 Taurus.
It was the Pluto effect that demanded that he shuffle off into the distance. Pluto is 0.54 Aquarius, check back to see the Inauguration Sun at 0.51 Aquarius.
Given that Pluto is exactly on the Midheaven in the Inauguration chart, it was bound to have this kind of impact when it reached the Sun.
Note also that the Inauguration Saturn was at 3.55 Aquarius, the Moon in this chart was 4.12 Aquarius.
The Inauguration Ascendant was 9.58 Taurus, this Ascendant was 13.37 Scorpio.
I know I predicted the date right but if I’d been really on the ball, I could have probably got it to within half an hour.
It’s interesting to see that the Sun/Moon focuses by trine and sextile onto a Mars/Uranus conjunction in the 7th house, which feels to me like a good description of Kamala Harris’ candidacy.
There’s another thing about this time that resonates strongly with the inauguration chart and that’s Secondary Progressions.
I often find that Progressions are a better guide than transits for major events occurring in the charts of very young children.
The reason for this is that the slow moving planets have not really had time to get going to trigger the natal patterns.
With progressions however, the first few years can see a significant tightening of an aspect pattern.
Say for example a child is born with the Sun at 0.51 of a sign conjunct Saturn at 3.55. Obviously the house positions would be important in terms of their overall life but that theme would also have to be reflected by their early childhood experience.
What we know from a Sun/Saturn conjunction is there is usually some kind of interruption in the child’s relationship with their father. It can be that the father leaves home, in some extreme cases even dies when they are young, or it can be that he is simply emotionally unavailable.
In the above case, the Sun’s progression will perfect the aspect with Saturn in just over 3 years time, so this could well be the point when the old man leaves.

If we progress the 2021 Inauguration chart to the moment that Joe Biden dropped out we can see how that has worked.
The Sun and Saturn are exactly together, there is only 4 minutes between them.
So we have the effective end of Joe Biden’s Presidency very strongly indicated by both transits and progressions to the Inauguration chart.
What might this mean for the next one?
The Sun/Pluto conjunction is worrying. Maybe we should look to history for a precedent.
Much talk has been made of the US Pluto Return. On this basis you might think that George Washington’s first inauguration began with with a Sun/Pluto conjunction.
But that happened in April of 1789.

In many ways this could be used as a chart to explain the birth of US political policy which would be pursued over the years.
Pluto is in exact opposition to the Ascendant with the Sun in Taurus at the apex of a T square.
This aspect pattern would account for the American capacity to see enemies everywhere.
There was another T Square, Mars in Aries in the 9th (aggressive warmongering foreign policy) opposite Neptune in the 3rd (delusional religious education) focusing on an apex Moon in Cancer in the 12th (obsessed with family and uninterested in anything beyond its own borders) conjunct Jupiter (and money).
The actual Sun/Pluto conjunction only occurred once in the history of US Presidential Inaugurations.
This was with James Madison’s first term in 1809.

The main feature of this administration was the 1812 war with the British. Madison’s assumption was that they would be distracted by a larger conflict with Napoleon and this would be the perfect time to invade Canada.
Venus in Aries opposite Mars would suggest that it wouldn’t go well and the American forces were defeated. The Brits however, already overstretched by the Napoleonic thing, did not want to be involved in another long drawn out war and were content to sue for peace with the Treaty of Ghent.
The one inauguration with the Sun opposite Pluto was far worse.

This was FDR’s third term and within a year Pearl Harbour happened and they were dragged into the 2nd World War.
The Grand Cross including Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto has to be the most challenging one of the lot.
So what will this next one bring?

If Donald Trump wins a war with China is a reasonable possibility.
But my feeling is that the opposition with Mars on the IC would suggest that any kind of war would be a civil one.
It seems that the exact Moon/Mercury square must play some sort of role, so maybe the focus of the battle will be in the courts.
Maybe Trump wins but his pile up of accumulating court cases sees him impeached and possibly even imprisoned.
Or Harris wins, and it is contested and possibly even overturned by the Supreme Court.
With the Moon in Libra in the 6th in square to Mercury in Capricorn in the 9th you would think that the battleground would be women’s reproductive health human rights against an ultra conservative legal system.
This is reinforced by the tight Venus/Saturn conjunction in Pisces in the 11th.
Maybe Trump wins and turns the screws on this issue even tighter.
Or Harris wins and forces the court to loosen them.
When looked at from the perspective of progressions, the one obvious point about the 2025 Inauguration chart is the closeness of that Sun/Pluto conjunction.
This means that the progressed Sun will perfect the aspect by the end of the year.
Within a year of the inauguration the progressed Moon will join in to form a square with the Sun/Pluto.
So whatever it is we will find out soon.
If Trump wins, most women with a brain would be seeking to emigrate.
Might be wise to go a bit further than Canada though.
