Power and influence are strange things. We all want some to varying degrees but imagine having so much of it that billions of people loathe you and are simply looking forward to your death, including your own children and a number of wives who have only come near you because they want to be the last one standing and inherit some of your obscene wealth.
For me the subject of this article has had the most malign influence on humanity, greater even than Adolf Hitler.
Sun sign devotees might ask how could a Piscean be such a figure of hatred and loathing.
Real astrologers will see a Mutable Sun in hard aspect to a Sagittarius Moon that he shares with Donald Trump and the serial killer quality in the Mars/Pluto conjunction around the 8th house in opposition to a ruling Saturn.
Murdoch came to acquire a significant control over the UK media in the late 1960s when Pluto was opposite his Sun.
The Sun newspaper had only been in existence for 5 years, with a Virgo stellium including a Uranus/Pluto conjunction, you would expect it be a Labour supporter and it began life as a left leaning broadsheet.
But the Pluto transit changed everything.
With its formation chart’s Sun being closely opposite Murdoch’s own, it was changed beyond recognition when Pluto reached 22 Virgo in 1969, into an instrument of appalling manipulation and indoctrination.
Using a steady drip feed combination of topless models and football, Murdoch managed 10 years later to persuade the Munchkins to vote for the Wicked Witch of the West.
Rupert Murdoch has the Sun trine Pluto.
That Pluto is exactly square to Margaret Thatcher’s Sun and it’s transit to that Sun in 1979 brought the vilest, most reactionary UK government of the 20th century to power.
With Saturn conjunct her Ascendant, Thatcher was always going to be a tyrannical and austere influence, but also particularly responsive to its own transits.
Her 2nd Saturn Return saw her mercilessly dumped from office by her own flying monkeys.
With the 3rd one on the way she was despatched to the depths of hell.
She is long gone, but thanks to Murdoch her legacy still endures.
But he won’t for much longer.
And Saturn is going to finish that job as well.
Saturn crept up to 19.26 Pisces and had a long hard stare at the old ogre over the last few months which had the effect of him scrambling to try and bequeath his empire to the most obnoxious of his children, but rather than plunge the knife in, it did what it does best and decided to sit and wait at his front door.
Over the next 6 months, there will be two lunar eclipses that will surely carry him off to the fiery pits of hell.
The upcoming eclipse falls 5 degrees away from his Sun but only 1 degree away from a square to his Moon.
And the eclipse Saturn is opposite Mercury and exactly conjunct his own.
So this one should at least shut him up.
But I feel it’s the second one that will carry him off.
This lunar eclipse is sitting with Saturn right on Murdoch’s Sun and square to his Moon.
It also triggers the newspaper’s Virgo Sun.
I have been trying to kill him off for almost half a century. My last attempt was 4 years ago with When Will Rupert Murdoch Crawl Back To The Swamp
I even cast a horary to this effect.
My view was that with the Moon as ruler of the 8th in that house and less than two degrees to go before it changed sign, he would be departing this earth around April 2022.
I was obviously wrong with that but as I have often found out when you want something to happen so strongly, it can often cloud your judgement as an astrologer.
A horary is never wrong, but our interpretation can certainly be.
The Moon being void can’t be saying Murdoch won’t die. He may well have sold his soul to the devil, but even he can’t live for ever.
So what this horary is actually saying is don’t use the void Moon to predict when he will finally kick the bucket.
When you ask a horary yourself about someone who you have no personal relationship with, it is always difficult to ascribe their significator.
But as this chart’s Ascendant falls a mere degree away from Murdoch’s own Moon, we have to see Jupiter as him.
In Capricorn in the 2nd house it makes perfect sense.
So if we can’t use the 8th house ruler to signify his death, we just have to take its natural ruler Pluto, which just happens to be the 12th house ruler in this chart.
Jupiter applies to a conjunction with Pluto in 4.5 degrees.
So 4.5 years takes us to February 2025.
Exactly when Saturn reaches the old bastard’s Sun.
When it comes to it we just have to acknowledge the old astrology axiom -As Above So Below – and in Rupert Murdoch’s case a very, very long way below.
