Hindsight is always 20 / 20 in all subjects.
Any geopolitical event that occurs will be instantly reported in the media along with a speedy and in depth analysis of the conditions that caused it.
No one says “ that’s all very well but you weren’t saying this last week “.
But if an astrologer comes up with a description of planetary placements that triggered said event, their analysis is dismissed because they didn’t make it beforehand.
In many cases this is fair criticism. A lot of astrologers would never dare to make anything but the vaguest, most open ended prediction for fear of being wrong.
Capricorn Research is never shy of announcing what is seen before the event. My view is the only way astrology is ever going to be taken seriously is to provide such a powerful predictive canon that no-one can dispute that there must be something in it.
The only problem is that there are so many things that happen in the world, its impossible to keep ahead of all of them.
And even when you are, there’s not always the time to make those assessments public.
Take the recent terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel and the knee jerk reaction saying that this is war.
I expected something of the sort to happen and even started to write an article on the subject back in June, but didn’t get around to finishing it.
This happens. I have a thousand articles on my website, but for every one of them there are at least three more that I started writing, but had to shelve because something else more insistent required my astrological attention at the time.
Why was I expecting some kind of atrocity ?
Because of Uranus.
For the last 50 years I have been aware of Israel’s role in the region and my sympathies have been with the Palestinians.
I could point to the dominant Moon / Saturn / Pluto in Leo in the 10th house and the Sun / Mars square, but for the purposes of this article I will try to avoid political analysis and simply focus on the transits.
This week’s attack occurred with Uranus conjunct the Israel Sun. This is the first time that transit has occurred.
We also have the small matter of the eclipses.
The solar eclipse this coming weekend falls within a couple of degrees of the Israel Ascendant, the second a fortnight later is square to its Moon.
The reaction coming from Tel Aviv is that the attack will start a war which will last for years.
It’s certainly going to be flavour of the month, that’s for sure.
There are a few possible charts for Palestine, but the one favoured by https://astrologyking.com/palestine-horoscope/ makes the most sense to me.
The Palestine Sun is exactly opposite the Israeli Sun.
The fact that this Sun is on the IC, lends weight to the idea that their homeland is at stake.
The Israeli Mars falls right on the Palestine Ascendant.
Of course this means that the same Uranus transit is exactly opposite the Palestinian Sun.
There’s also the small matter of Pluto transiting conjunct it’s Moon.
Looking forward we see that Jupiter will reach the Israel Sun in March / April of next year.
So the net effect of all this will definitely favour Israel. In fact the world’s media have already swung in behind them with a powerful condemnation of Hamas.
This war has only one winner.
Both entities have been violently opposed each other since Israel’s inception. But these are the toughest transits that the Palestine chart has seen.
Although the Israel chart received a similar bombardment exactly 50 years previously.
A Mars / Mercury / Moon / Jupiter T square fell with its apex exactly opposite the Israel Moon.
But the chief instigator of this surprise attack by a coalition of Egyptian and Arab forces was again Uranus, falling exactly on the Israel Ascendant at the time.
No one predicted either of them, not even the notoriously astute Israeli intelligence forces.
This weekend’s attack was obviously planned by Hamas to fall on the 50th anniversary of Yom Kippur.
And that was the last time that Uranus formed a conjunction with one of the Israel Big Three.
This attack was as predictable as they come. If I was being paid to monitor these things, I certainly would have posted on it back in June.
