I will no doubt get into serious trouble with the locals when I say Australia is not known globally for its high cultural status.
When asked to name some famous residents most people would think Shayne Warne, Dame Edna and Skippy the Kangaroo.
In the world of popular music we have Kylie Minogue and Men at Work singing about chundering down under.
Whether this is fair or not, I am still trying to work out, but there is one thing missing. Australia is responsible for the greatest pop anthem of all.
You’re The Voice was a massive hit on these shores back in the 1980s.
It’s lyrics reminding us all that we have a voice and can take a stand against everything that is wrong in the world.
” We’re not gonna sit in silence
We’re not gonna live with fear
We’re all someone’s daughter
We’re all someone’s son
How long can we look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun? “
It reached number one in Sweden and Germany and was considered by many to have caught and inspired the zeitgeist behind the fall of the Berlin Wall, three years later.
It is both a power ballad and a protest song.
So we would expect Jupiter and Uranus to be strong in the chart for its release.

The appeal to all the ” little people ” to use and raise their voice is profoundly Sun Virgo opposite Jupiter in Pisces.
The essentially rebellious nature of this call for freedom fits with the T square apex Uranus in Sagittarius.
The link with the Berlin Wall comes from the exact Venus / Pluto conjunction in Scorpio square to the Aquarius Moon.
Many of these features are in the natal chart of the guy that sung it.

John Farnham had the Sun conjunct Uranus in Cancer.
His Virgo Moon is square to Mercury / Mars in Gemini which is a classic for little people using their voice.
He has Venus exactly opposite Jupiter as well.
Uranus is obviously the big player in this chart and when the Voice was released it was square to Farnham’s Moon and opposite his Mercury.
Jupiter was hitting the same planets the other way round.
But one very important point was that Farnham’s Mercury / Mars was sextile Pluto.
In 1986 – 87 when the Voice exploded onto the scene, John Farnham’s progressed Sun was conjunct his Pluto.
That’s a revolution down under.
