What are the male members of the Royal Family for ? To rule over us ? To help keep the UK tourist economy going ? To keep the Disney type dream alive ? To play polo and go skiing ? To have sordid affairs while pretending not to ? To spout busllshit about service while all the time living in a luxury that the rest of us could only dream of ? To provide an entertaining distraction while the government and press that they employ grind us all into the dirt ?
Probably all of the above.
But perhaps their most useful purpose is to teach us about the 5th house and particularly where it differs from the 7th.
The 5th sign, Leo has connotations with royalty anyway. The 5th house seems to be the one where our capacity to just have a ball is shown.
The 5th is to do with creativity and performance, with artistry and living your life on stage as it were. Even children ruled by the 5th are our procreation.
It covers taking risks as in speculation, sporting and leisure activities but it’s chiefly known as the house of affairs of the heart.
These love affairs are quite different from the marriages and long term contractual relationships of the 7th house. And royal princes have always understood the difference.
Their marriages have generally been about the succession and often arranged purely for diplomatic ties with other countries.
Tina Turner sang ” What’s Love Got To Do With It ? “. Which is interesting as she had two T Squares, one with an apex Mars in the 7th house and the other an apex Venus in the 5th.
This 5th / 7th theme has been highlighted recently with Prince Harry’s claim that royal men ‘marry someone who fits the mould’ instead of choosing love.
The subtext here is that this fact seems to make it ok for them to carry on affairs outside of their marriage.
And as a general rule, their 5th and 7th houses will show this.

Prince William was born on a solar eclipse in Cancer in the 7th house.
Which means that the themes of his family ( Cancer ) and marriage ( 7th ) would be paramount in his life. But the eclipse along with the opposition between the Sun and Neptune conjunct his Sagittarius Ascendant would mean that these marriage themes would be extremely difficult.
This is the combination of someone who could easily feel trapped by his marriage and family requirements and the Sagittarian in him would resent that.
His 5th house experience is very different.
There he has Venus and Mercury both dignified in their own signs and both opposite Uranus.
This suggests a sensual nature and a roving eye with a keen interest in experimentation.
This does not look like the kind of chart of someone who would be totally faithful or even see the need to do that. As long as the succession box is ticked, he would feel free to look elsewhere for his sexual favours, as has usually been the case with Wandering Willy.

Intriguingly William’s dad also has two planets in the 5th house in opposition to Uranus.
A Mars / Jupiter conjunction in Sagittarius is also known for adventure and not generally conducive to sticking to the restrictions of convention.
He has nothing at all in the 7th house and right from the start of his marriage to Diana he was saying ” whatever in love means “.
Charles’ chart makes it clear that marriage would always be a sham and that his real interest would be in his affair with Camilla.
Perhaps his father also set an example.

Prince Philip had the Moon and Neptune in Leo in the 7th, showing his royal marriage, but his Sun was in Gemini in the 5th and he was known for his many affairs.
Granted 10 degrees is quite wide for a square aspect but this means that all three of them had important personal planets in wandering mutable signs in the 5th house in hard aspect to Uranus.
So what does this all mean ?
We don’t know much about Philip’s tastes away from the Palace, but Charles’ own dream of becoming a tampon in his next life is rather Scorpionic with a Mars / Uranus opposition thrown in for good measure.
Many of us have heard that William had an affair with the next door neighbour while wife Kate was pregnant.
His reluctance to travel far for his own away days is shown by the Cancer Sun and Moon.
There has been a rumour doing the rounds that Prince William has a penchant for pegging, a practice that Sun Capricorn, Moon Cancer T square apex Saturn Kate is not keen to indulge in.
The 5th is about sex and Uranus is the principle of deviation.
With Venus in Taurus in the 5th opposite Uranus, Willy is likely to have unusual tastes.
Do they get all this from their fathers then ?
This could be so but the fact is the Windsor first born men are all mummy’s boys.
Their charts all have remarkable similarity with their mothers.
Charles Moon is at 0 Taurus, exactly the same degree as his mother’s Sun.
His own Sun is right in her T square and closely conjunct her apex Saturn.
William’s Sun ( and Moon ) are conjunct Diana’s Sun and in the same house.
His Ascendant is conjunct hers.
William’s Venus is exactly conjunct Diana’s and in the same house in hard aspect to Uranus.
Even Prince George has the Sun in Cancer exactly opposite his Moon in Capricorn focusing onto a T Square with an apex Saturn.
Kate has Sun in Capricorn exactly opposite Moon in Cancer focusing onto a T Square apex Saturn.
Talk about repeating patterns….
Astrology should not be used for moral judgement. There are a vast number of different Mars / Venus combinations and no one placement is ” better ” or more right than any other. As long as no-one gets hurt, and all the participants are of an appropriate age, consorting adults etc etc….
The problem comes with the denial and the attempt to cover up these truths by hanging other family members out to dry with the press for actually having the audacity to marry for love someone who looks a bit different from the rest of them.

An empty house doesn’t mean a lack of experience there, its just that the person’s life is not dominated by ” must experience ” themes in those areas.
Prince Harry’s empty 5th and 7th simply means that he is free to choose whatever he wants in these areas so he has married for love.
Harry’s problem is with his 4th house and his family, as the singleton Moon in Taurus there opposite Saturn suggests.
I have written many articles on the UK Royal Family and detailed the powerful emphasis between 20 – 25 degrees of Fixed signs there.
We have Elizabeth’s T square, Philip’s Leo Moon, Charles Sun, Diana’s T square apex Venus, Anne’s Leo Sun, Andrew’s Scorpio Moon, Harry’s Moon and William’s T square apex Venus.
This kind of thing often comes up in families and it explains much of the complex dynamics that exist between these people.
It also means that when these degrees are hit by powerful transits of slow moving heavyweights, the dysfunctional themes will be triggered big time.
The most obvious example of this is when Pluto conjoined Charles’ Scorpio Sun in 1992, when his affair with Camilla came to light and his marriage to Diana fell apart.
Under the same transit, Anne and Andrew’s marriages also failed.
No wonder the Queen called it the ” annus horribilis “.
Saturn has been afflicting all the same chart factors this year, resulting in the Queen’s death and just recently the fuss that came with the latest series of the Crown and Harry and Meghan.
The next month sees Saturn square to Charles Sun and William’s Venus, so that won’t be easy. But the real trouble is coming over the next couple of years.
For Charles the year 1992 wasn’t just Pluto conjunct his Sun. Both Uranus and Neptune were square to his Venus.
Neptune is particularly interesting as it is closely conjunct that Venus nataly, another combination that suggests his love life would be unusual. He would need a close spiritual connection with any partner but also there would likely be some level of secrecy and deception involved.
In March 2023, Pluto arrives square to his Moon.
Fittingly Jupiter will be conjunct that Moon for his coronation. But then Uranus will begin its opposition to his Sun.
Then there is the small matter of the eclipse.

The eclipse falls half a degree from Charles’ Moon and triggers the Pluto square transit very strongly.
What will all this yield ?
When William was born, all the media astrologers were falling over themselves to say what a wonderful chart he had just like they had about the wedding chart of Charles and Diana.
It was at this stage in my astrological journey that I fully realised how out of step I was with so many other astrologers and also how they were with their own subject.
Charles and Diana were married with a solar eclipse in Leo. My immediate feeling was this is not going to end well.
William was born on another solar eclipse, this one in Cancer and a Mars / Saturn / Pluto conjunction. This confirmed my feeling.
Kate’s chart is horrible, a clear sign of someone who is only there to provide heirs and to suffer in silence behind gritted teeth and a false smile. For more on her see Don’t Kiss Me Kate
Young George’s chart is equally dire.

Every single planet in the chart is involved in stressful relationships with the others.
The close Sun / Moon opposition is hard enough but focusing onto a T square apex Saturn is a tough one.
The T Square involving Mars / Jupiter / Mercury in Cancer opposite Pluto focusing onto another T Square apex Uranus in the 4th house is equally challenging.
And just for good measure he has Venus opposite Neptune.
So many horrible things and almost all of them with extremely difficult family themes.
Again when George was born, media astrologers were desperately trying to find something nice to say about it. But let’s face it, media astrology is 99% bullshit.
The one thing that is very clear from George’s chart is that the next couple of years are going to be extremely painful.
Pluto is about to conjunct his Moon and oppose his Sun, and this will be powerfully triggered by that eclipse.
So with all this horrific royal astrology going on what will happen ?
I believe Uranus is key.
At around the age of 42, Uranus will oppose its natal position and its rebellious streak will come to the surface. If someone has an important personal placement in hard aspect to Uranus, their mid life crisis so to speak will be traumatic.
It will also trigger the themes between itself and the planet it aspects nataly.
Between mid 2024 and 25 Uranus will conjunct Prince William’s 5th house Venus and Neptune will square his 7th house Sun.
Given that both these will reflect and repeat hard natal aspects, its instant karma time for William.
You can be sure that the media knows all about his affairs and probably also his fondness for washing line implements.
The main reason that Meghan has been fed to the media wolves by the royal family over the last few years is to keep these stories about William and his neighbours out of the papers. It’s a trade off.
But this is a desperate and dangerous game.
Once Uranus has passed Harry’s 4th house Moon and his split from the family has become complete, the newspapers will still need feeding.
They will get bored with Meghan eventually and then they will turn on the Prince of Wales.
If 1992 was an annus horribilis, 2023 – 25 will be a Uranus horrendous.
And it will have much larger repercussions for the Windsor family. These revelations could easily break William and Kate’s ” perfect ” marriage and undermine Charles whole reign.
I blame whoever it is that gives William astrological advice.
With Venus in the 5th opposite Uranus, you just have to be extra careful what you stick up there.
