A Horary Says A House Is Not A Home

The more attuned you are to the essentially quantum nature of Horary, the more it will reveal to you. 

I just received a message from a client C, who was due to have a consultation in a couple of days with this question. “I’ve found a piece of property that might be an excellent investment for me and/or for W (her son). Trick is it’s a cash deal we saw the place yesterday and going back tomorrow with my own realtor.”

Horary aficionados will instantly see the problem.

The chart has 0.36 Taurus rising.

In the Considerations Before Judgement, astrologers are told that it is unwise to judge a chart with less than 3 degrees of any sign rising, because there is information that is yet to come to light that will have a bearing on the question.

My own researches have convinced me that the earlier the degree, the more this is the case.

So if we are going to proceed at all, we have to do so with utmost care.

The Considerations do not mean the chart cannot describe the situation, it just means that the querent is not acquainted with all the necessary facts to make a decision.

C would be signified by Venus in the 2nd house of money (cash deal).

Her son W would be the 5th ruler Mercury, placed in the 4th house, which makes sense as she would have been buying it for him.

Mercury and Venus are linked by a tight sextile aspect.

The house would be signified by the 4th house ruler, the Sun. The Sun is weak in Cancer in the 3rd house. There could be a problem with water, and as the Sun is close to the bottom of the chart, this could affect the foundations.

There is no applying relationship between Venus (or Mercury) and the Sun, so it doesn’t look like she will be buying it anyway.

The Moon is always a very important planet because she is the fastest mover and can apply to everything so is most likely to make something happen.

If the Moon is not the ruler of the querent or the quesited, she can expedite a question even if they are not aspected to each other, as she would represent something or someone else that could bring them together.

The Moon is in Aries in the 12th house, so there is obviously something here that is hidden.

The Moon is 3rd house ruler, so what is missing is information.

The Moon is applying to a square with the Sun, so the suggestion is that this information will come to light but the aspect is a difficult one so it is unlikely to help a purchase of the house.

The Moon at 19 Aries will perfect this aspect in 5 degrees time.

I had just made notes on this for the consultation when I received another message from C.

“Found out more on the property. FEMA flood zone. Sewer stopping a mile away so realtor is either lying or ignorant. May not pass for septic either. Oh well.”

This was the information that the Moon indicated.

I received this message 5 hours after the horary question.

Not only will a horary tell you a house is not a home, it will also tell you why it isn’t and when you will find out that it isn’t.
