I’m getting really sick of this Saturn / Uranus square aspect.

It’s been running since the first outbreak of Covid in early 2020 and it won’t clear until the end of this year.

The fact that Saturn, the most conventional planet has been transiting through Aquarius, the most radical sign and Uranus the freedom planet has been operating in Taurus the most conservative sign has created a situation where right wing nut jobs and conspiracy theorists can present themselves as being true revolutionaries.

But more than that, it presents some very significant problems for any astrologers who wish to help their clients in specific ways rather than those who offer vague, airhead generalisations.

Because how do you interpret transits for people when these two very different energies are hitting their Fixed sign placements at the same time.

There is the Uranian desire to break through and experience something new but this is held in check by the Saturnian limitations and barriers that are being placed in the way of that desire.

But despite the obvious contradictions between these two planets, every transit is an integral part of the natural flow of a human life so astrologers have to find a way of synthesising them.

Through a lifetime of observing Saturn up close and personal, I have come to the conclusion that it always has our long term best interest at heart.

Saturn’s limitations are not for ever, they are not outright denial, they are simply holding us back from experiencing something until the time and circumstances are right for that thing to occur.

We are impulsive human beings and we expect to have the things that we feel that we want even without expending any effort on our part to get them.

Saturn stops us from getting those things until we have grown sufficiently through our own efforts or understanding to be able to receive them. Once that happens, Saturn will allow us those goodies.

However it may be that in the time taken to do all that growing we might have realised ourselves that we did not actually really want them, we just thought we did at the time, because everyone else wanted them and told us that we should as well.

So Saturn can be our saviour because it stops us doing the wrong thing.

As Saturn has been ahead of Uranus throughout 2022, the affect on placements in the 2nd half of Fixed signs has been along the lines of – ” You may feel ready for a change but there is something holding you back at present, because you are not quite ready for it yet. If you can wait until Saturn has passed then Uranus will give you the energy to head in new directions but for the time being things are being delayed in order to stop you making a decision in haste that may well turn out not to be the right thing for you in the long term “

So this principle would be applied to the individual specifics of that person’s chart and the life questions and circumstances which were concerning them at the time.

But how does it play out in the lives of the motley collection of power obsessed halfwits that appear to be running things ?

Scott Morrison has the Sun at 22 Taurus. His experience this year has been particularly Saturnine and so interpretation of his future Uranus transit is rather more straightforward than most.

Obviously the Universe did not want him to be Australian Prime Minister, Treasurer, Health Minister, Minister for Home Affairs and for Industry, Science, Energy and Resources, so Saturn dumped him on his arse at the earliest opportunity.

Saturn’s sojourn through the early twenties of Aquarius would be to pave the way for Uranus conjunct his Sun in 2023 – 24 when he would no doubt find a completely new role much more in keeping with his true path in life.

This presumably would be along the lines of inventing his own religion and spending the rest of his life warning people of the coming apocalypse, rather than doing everything in his power to actually bring it into effect like he was whilst in office.

In one of those absurd astrological ironies, his successor as the new leader of the now shell shocked Liberal party, Peter Dutton has the Sun at 25 Scorpio.

He too can feel the winds of Uranian change coming. However Uranus does not reach the opposition to his Sun until 2024 – 25.

And Saturn still has plenty of time in square to it, so Voldemort’s feeble attempts to paint himself as some kind of New Age tree hugging hippy is receiving short shrift from the true Dark Lord.

The fact that Peter Dutton has a natal Sun / Saturn opposition simply gives the planet more power.

When I wrote about this earlier on this year, I actually thought that Saturn’s square to Dutton’s Sun might mean he would lose his seat.

What I now realise is that Saturn’s extra power meant he has sit out public humiliation of Liberal leadership in opposition for some time yet before Uranus inevitably boots him out just as soon as the party has discovered someone to take over who is actually a human.

Fellow Scorpio King Charles III has the Sun at 22 Scorpio. His Saturn / Uranus theme is probably operating on a grander scale.

Saturn square his Sun got rid of his mother and dumped a whole load more responsibility onto his shoulders. This would have happened just in time for the Uranus opposition 2023 – 24 starting the process of independence / republican movements aimed at downgrading the monarchy.

So for all of them, Saturn ( true to form ) has brought either an increased responsibility or a fall from grace or both in order to create the space whereby Uranus can come in and change things up.

In the charts of people in power, these changes might not be seen by them personally as beneficial, but when you look at them from the perspective of society as a whole, they probably are.

So what about the subject of this article then ?

The other T Square is all contained within 40 minutes of arc and includes a Pisces Moon square to an apex Neptune as the most delusional and away with the fairies aspect pattern I have ever seen.

The fact that the noon chart focuses the first of these onto the 10th of her own career and the second onto the 2nd house for the rapidly disappearing UK economy, speaks volumes.

Truss came to power on the back of Uranus transiting conjunct her natal Mars.

Since then she has hands down beaten previous incumbents Teresa May for the worst curtsey in history and John Major for the most catastrophic fall of the pound.

She has single handedly managed to turn the greatest outpouring of respect and admiration for the traditional institutions of the realm into the worst polling deficit ( 33% ) for the Conservative party in history.

Truss has managed all that in three weeks despite having a two week holiday.

The response to this from all corners suggests that she will do well to reach the end of her fourth.

Given that the next election will be at the end of 2024 ( its hard to see the Tories agreeing to anything significantly earlier as 75% of Parliament would be required to do that ), Pluto transiting opposite Truss’ Sun then would surely ensure the wipeout that many are already predicting for the party.

However changing a Tory party leader is not as easy as it obviously should be so she may hold on for a while yet.

The favourite time transit wise is February 2024 when Saturn visits her Moon / Venus / Neptune.

Who is most likely to benefit from a change of leader ?

Many are suggesting the return of Mr BlowJobby

What about the opposition ?

The synastry between Truss and Starmer is fascinating. Her Venus is exactly conjunct his Sun.

The problem with this is that when Saturn hits the Truss T square it also opposes Keir’s Sun.

So you might think that February 2024 could see both of them as losers.

Given that Librium Liz staying as PM would be the gift that keeps on giving for Labour, it seems that this could well be the time she gets the boot.

But who might take over the poisoned chalice ?

In June 2020, at the height of his powers and long before Partygate, I predicted that Boris Johnson would not be around for the next election.

I suggested that they would get rid of him, pick Rishi Sunak as leader in 2023 – 24 and run the next election on a new broom ticket doing the classic Tory thing of blaming the previous administration for all the wrongs done ( despite the simple fact that they WERE the previous administration ).

My astrological reasoning for Sunak was that Uranus would be conjunct his Sun in 2023 -24 and given that he has a natal Sun / Uranus opposition, this transit would be extremely powerful.

What I didn’t factor in at the time was that Saturn would have to square Sunak’s Sun at various points this year.

I also didn’t take into account that Neptune might take out Johnson earlier than planned.

So when the leadership election occurred, Rishi Sunak was not only not ready, he was encumbered by Saturn.

Once the time of the leadership election had been announced I adjusted my prediction to declare that Truss would win because of vastly superior transits at the time.

I therefore assumed that Uranus conjunct Sunak’s Sun would probably see him ensconced in another job somewhere in the financial industry outside of politics.

However, events of the last week have raised another possibility.

Uranus reaches Rishi Sunak’s Sun in June 2023 but in April of 2024 it is joined there by Jupiter.

Given all of the above, it is perfectly reasonable to suggest that Sunak might still make it to the top job ( as I originally predicted ).

If that is the case, losing the leadership to Truss this time round might be one of Saturn’s long term slow release favours.

Because if Sunak was just following Johnson into office, the new broom idea might take a bit of convincing, but after the debacle of Thick Lizzie, he would be able to genuinely paint himself as a knight in shining armour coming to rescue the economy back from the brink and win the ensuing election.

In fact this is such a Tory thing that maybe it was all part of the plan all along.

They may be chimps but they’re no-one’s chumps.
