Coming For The King – How To Spot Your Nemesis

Over the last few years I have made the connection between secondary progressions and the entrance into our lives of our soulmates. This has led me to a number of astonishing discoveries particularly involving the progressions of Venus and the Sun.

I was mulling all this over recently with the idea that if the meeting of supportive members of our soul group is clearly indicated at particular times of our life through these progressions, it should also be possible to see when we might meet our nemesis, if we have one.

To research this I thought to look at people who were assassinated and their killers. Since there have been so many of them, I thought I would narrow it down a bit and choose religious leaders who have lost their lives in this way.

So I googled this and the very first name on the list came as a complete shock to me.

I have mentioned before on these pages, that I have a strong connection with Tibetan Buddhism. I believe my last life was as a villager in Eastern Tibet, who dreamed of going to a monastery to study astrology formally but this never materialised and I was killed in the first Chinese invasion in 1950.

My introduction to Tibetan Buddhism in this life occurred around the same time as astrology in the mid 1970s, when I visited the Samye Ling monastery in Scotland. The Abbott at the time was Akong Rinpoche.

I had an interview with him when I told him that discovering meditation was one of the most important things in my life, but I wasn’t ready to become a Buddhist. His response was ” there’s no hurry, you will when the time is right”.

Twenty five years later, I took formal refuge as a Buddhist. I took this step because the school that my son attended was the only Buddhist primary school in Europe (The Dharma School in Brighton).

The head teacher of the school had been asked by the Dalai Lama to help train teachers in Dharamsala, so they needed a replacement. Members of staff were concerned that the right type of replacement be chosen so they asked me and one other parent to join the board of directors to help choose one.

In order to be a director of the school, I had to be a confirmed Buddhist, so I returned to Samye Ling and Akong Rinpoche was still there.

A few years later, after my son had moved on to secondary school, I gradually lost touch with the Buddhist community both in Brighton and Scotland, so I was shocked to find Rinpoche’s name on the assassinated list.

I hadn’t known Rinpoche’s chart back in the day, but wasn’t surprised to find his Sun a degree from my own in Capricorn. He was also born in the same region of Tibet as I was last time round. There is no birthtime available, so this is a noon chart.

His Sun is at the apex of a T square involving a Mars/Jupiter conjunction and Neptune, which is perfect for someone who as a spiritual teacher, was forced to flee from the Chinese occupation of Tibet, over the Himalayas to India.

This happened in 1959 with his progressed Sun in sextile to Mars.

He established Samye Ling in 1967 when the progressed Sun was sextile Jupiter.

“Akong Rinpoche, and all those associated with him, knew that his life was in danger every time he visited Tibet since there were Chinese government officials who felt he was too close to HH Dalai Lama. Before leaving for the last time, Akong Rinpoche set all his affairs in order and requested the help of all those who would play a leading part in Samye Ling’s future. On 8 October 2013, it was reported that Akong Tulku Rinpoche had been murdered in Chengdu, China, along with two other monks, including Rinpoche’s nephew, and his driver.”

Could this have been seen in his chart?

Yes of course, from the other T Square Venus in Aquarius opposite Pluto focused on an apex Saturn.

And his progressions indicated when that would happen.

On average the progressed Venus would move at the same speed as the Sun. So like the Sun, would not make more than one major aspect to any placement in a lifetime, so we wouldn’t expect it to reach anything in his T square until his mid 80s, but it was moving faster in its cycle.

Rinpoche was murdered at the age of 73 with progressed Venus squaring itself and conjunct the progressed Saturn and square to the progressed Pluto.

So this is the moment in his life when this nemesis aspect pattern would be triggered.

No birth details are available for any of his three assassins, so we can’t check the synastry.

There were 50 other names of spiritual leaders who were on the assassinated list, but in order to make it possible for this article to ever be completed, I’m going to concentrate on the two best known ones.

Again this is a noon chart but you can clearly see it from the T square.

Mars in Gemini opposite Saturn in the 8th house focused on an apex Moon in Pisces.

” On the evening of April 4th 1968, King delivered his legendary speech “I have been to the mountaintop……I see the Promised Land. I may not get there with you, but mine eyes have seen the glory.”

His prophecy that he would not get there with his congregation was proved right as he was shot the following evening.

Pluto in April 1968 was at 20 degrees Virgo opposite King’s apex Moon and Ray’s 8th house Sun.

Pluto created a Grand Cross ( the most difficult transit possible ) in King’s chart triggering the threat of assassination that was there since birth.”

But I hadn’t looked at it from a progressed perspective until now.

The key is obviously Mars, but as it was retrograde at MLK’s birth, it would make no other major aspects during his life other than the T Square, 39 years later it had returned to its natal place.

Martin Luther King was assassinated on April 5th 1968, with his progressed Mars at 25.07 Gemini exactly opposite his natal Saturn.

The progressed chart places the Mars/Saturn opposition right across the Ascendant/Descendant axis.

King’s synastry with his killer is powerful.

James Earl Ray’s Sun is with half a degree of MLK’s apex Moon.

There are a number of factors that suggest Ray as an assassin. His Sun in the 8th in tight square to Saturn and the Moon in Scorpio at the apex of a T square involving his Ascendant and Mars being the main ones.

The exactness of the Moon/Mars (1/3 degree) is the key player here.

If someone is marked out by their natal chart as a potential killer, the moment that they perform the act should be powerfully indicated in a way which facilitates this theme.

Ray murdered King when his progressed Mars was trine Moon, the only other time in his life that this combination could be renewed by aspect.

Ray’s progressed chart for that moment placed the Sun and Moon conjunct in the 8th house.

Both Akong Rinpoche and Martin Luther King were murdered by individuals but there is a strong suspicion of conspiracy, in that their deaths were politically motivated and suited the powers that be in China and the USA.

Another leader whose experience fits the same pattern was Mahatma Gandhi.

By some distance the strongest pattern in Gandhi’s chart is the T square which like MLK’s focused on an apex Moon.

A Mars/Venus conjunction in Scorpio in the 1st house exactly opposite Pluto in conjunction with Jupiter in the 7th suggests someone who is likely to meet their end through some very powerful enemies.

Gandhi lived to see the independence for India that he’d fought his whole life for but was assassinated a few months later.

Again the progressed Mars is the obvious key and it made its only aspect of his life to Pluto, a trine on January 30th 1948, when he was murdered.

Interestingly Venus, the other planet involved in the pattern had progressed close to forming a Grand Cross with the T square.

Gandhi had powerful synastry with his assassin, Nathuram Godse.

Gandhi’s Sun at 9 Libra is attacked by a Tsquare focusing on an apex Mars/Ascendant conjunction.

Godse’s Jupiter is part of this and it conjuncts Gandhi’s Sun, which makes sense when you consider that we would never have heard of him but for the assassination.

Again, Mars is obviously the connection and Godse’s natal square with Jupiter is (like Ray’s) facilitated by an easy aspect (a sextile) by progression at the time of the killing.
