One thing I have realised is that Universal truths are not hidden from us, they are everywhere around us.
But equally we can only see them when we are ready to.
I include myself in this.
I had been aware of both the existence of soulmates, past lives and secondary progressions for 50 years, but I had never put them together until 7 years ago.
This is quite simply because this knowledge was theoretical and not personally experienced.
This all changed when I met my soulmate online and within a few weeks was having many powerful memories of past lives that I shared with her.
Many of them contained themes of enforced separation, including one where we were both killed in an incident during the 1st World War.
We were Americans so weren’t fighting in 1915, but died as the result of a German attack.
I was shocked to discover that the person responsible for our death had reincarnated this time round as my own wife.
I had lived under the same roof as this person for 37 years despite the fact we had a dysfunctional and non-intimate relationship.
I had long come to terms with this situation as a Sun, Moon, Ascendant Capricorn with Venus conjunct Saturn in the 10th house, I had accepted that love was not on the agenda this time round in order to focus on my work.
Indeed, I believed that I had chosen this situation.
What I hadn’t realised was that Saturn would not deny me love. It would just delay it for 63 years.
Up to that point, however I had not really understood why I was married to that particular person.
My ex had already instigated divorce proceedings against me, the decree nisi had been granted but no financial settlement had been reached, because she was demanding 100% of our only shared asset, a large terraced house in a desirable location. This was bizarre and unfair, particularly since it was my earnings that had paid for the house in the first place.
On recognising my ex wife as a reincarnation of the man that had killed me a century beforehand, I could see that this act had created an unresolved karmic theme that had brought us together again.
Once the shock had subsided, I realised that I did not want any more karma to continue between the two of us.
Obviously I needed to leave and move to Australia to marry my soulmate.
So to release me from any continuing karma, I just left the whole house to my ex and walked away, an arrangement that she was totally happy with.
I would never have made this simple decision to let go without the awareness of that past life and the desire to avoid any future life entanglement with her.
Capricorns will always play the long game, even if that means sacrificing short term benefit.
If you are a triple Capricorn, this principle can even extend into future lives.
One question that I’m sometimes asked is “You always say we should live in the moment, so why would it be helpful to have a past life review?”
The answer to that is such a review will show us precisely how our past lives are proscribing our current one, and how those unresolved patterns from the past are stopping us truly living in the present now.
There are many stories about people who have undergone past life regression hypnotism where they have discovered something that has freed themselves from a negative pattern of behaviour or allowed them to move on from a dysfunctional relationship in their current life.
I was asked by a client A, to do a past life review that involved her mother, with whom she’d had a very difficult relationship.
A’s mother was unhappy in her own marriage and once her daughter reached her teenage years became extremely jealous of her, competed with her and denigrated her in front of her boyfriends.
The mother also resented A’s closeness with other members of their extended family and did her best to undermine those relationships.
This experience continued through much of A’s adult life. She could never understand where this jealousy came from, but suspected it might be to do with a past life connection.
A has a close Moon/Saturn conjunction in her 4th house and this Saturn is exactly (within a few minutes) conjunct her mother’s Mars.
I regressed A’s chart to the point where her Sun was conjunct her Saturn, this occurred in 1608.
I regressed A’s mother’s chart back to the same date and discovered that she had an exact Sun/Mars conjunction then.
Further research revealed that they had both been exotic dancers in the employ of a wealthy land owner in Eastern Turkey.
A was in a favoured position which the mother wanted for herself, so in a fit of jealousy, she killed her.
Six months after receiving this review, A contacted me to say that this knowledge had helped her enormously and she was able to see her relationship with her now elderly mother in a different light, understanding that there was nothing that she had done wrong as a child to warrant her mother’s treatment of her.
Her mother’s jealousy and mistreatment had carried over unconsciously from that previous life.
A recognised that her mother was unaware of this and could not have acted differently, so therefore wasn’t to blame for her current behaviour.
This has enabled A to put it behind her and respond to her mother’s situation with compassion.
This insight into her past life has allowed A to live much more in the present in this one.
A couple of weeks ago I heard from M, who’d previously taken a Past, Present And Future Family Package.
M wanted to explore her current life synastry and past life connections with family members, particularly with her partner, A.
I will include parts of this review that correspond to M’s relationship with A
“For the present life part of this review, we will look at the synastry between you and the family group you have asked about.

As we discussed in your consultation you have quite a challenging birthchart.
There is a Grand Cross involving your Sun, Ascendant, Mars and Pluto.
You also have a T square with the Moon opposite Venus and an apex Uranus and Neptune.
As well as that you have a Mercury/Jupiter opposition.
This means that you constantly have many different demands being placed on you by people and situations that you meet in this life and it is very hard for you to keep them all happy.
With the Sun, Moon and Ascendant in Fixed signs, you would naturally seek consistency and stability, but the challenging aspects show this is a tough task. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all planets of change and they demand that from your Sun, Moon and Ascendant.
If we look to the houses of these oppositions we can see the areas of life where change is being required.
The Sun in the 3rd opposite Pluto in the 9th means a lot of transformation through travel and communication.
The Moon in the 8th opposite Venus in the 2nd with Uranus and Neptune in the 11th suggests challenging financial circumstances and changes with unusual friendship groups.
The Aquarius Ascendant opposite Mars in the 7th indicates that it is hard for you to reconcile a need for personal freedom with your relationship life.
Mercury in the 4th opposite Jupiter in the 10th points to a career that is difficult to juggle alongside frequent changes in where you are living.
When we look at astrology from the perspective of past lives, we have to assume that either we have chosen our chart for this time round, or it has chosen us as an inevitable continuance of the themes that have been carried over from our past lives.
Maybe it is some combination of both of these things.
If so, then to choose a chart like this, you would have to be an old soul, one who has experienced a lot and has chosen these challenging circumstances to learn more.
There is also the sense that we choose difficult conditions because we are strong enough to do so.
With your Sun, Moon and Ascendant in Fixed signs, this would be the case and your Moon in Scorpio in the 8th house would mean that you will be forced to dig deep into yourself this time round in order to manage everything.
This is presumably why you have chosen to do it, that your life forces you to access these deeper levels, to come closer to the source of all things.
In a way, none of the people you have chosen have an easy time, they all have challenging personal lives, particularly with Moon and Venus aspects.

Your partner A has Sun in Cancer, Moon in Taurus and Libra rising, so on the face of it he would look for settled secure conditions and a comfortable time enjoying the nice things in life.
He has the Moon in Taurus in the 7th house, so with the Sun in that sign you are exactly the type of partner he would seek to attract.
He has Venus in Gemini in the 8th house as part of a T square involving Mercury, Jupiter and an apex Mars.
His 7th house Moon is square to Uranus, so his love life is unlikely to be a settled one, with much change and movement involved.
You have strong synastry together.
Your Moon at 0 Scorpio is exactly trine his Sun at 0 Cancer, however it is also opposite his Moon at 4 Taurus.
Your Mercury is conjunct his in Gemini and you both have the Mercury/Jupiter opposition. It is also conjunct his Venus and exactly square his Mars.
One thing that inevitably occurs when you have lots of oppositions in a chart is that transits to your placements will trigger the challenges.
So even favourable transits will bring some sort of difficulty with them.
The last few years have seen some difficult transits that have strongly impacted on your synastry with A.
Pluto has been going through your Moon/Venus/Uranus/Neptune T square.
Uranus has been going through your Grand Cross and Saturn forming another T square with your Mercury/Jupiter opposition.
A has had the Saturn transit forming a Grand Cross through his T square.
Pluto may have finished its work in your chart but it still has to square A’s 7th house Moon, so as we discussed in the consultation, there is still change to come for him.”
During my consultation with M we’d discussed the likelihood that A’s Pluto transit would bring about a separation between them and that money would be a significant factor.
The Past Life Family Package includes two reviews of two separate past lives. The first one did not involve A, so I will just include passages from the 2nd review.
“For this past life review, I would use a horary for the second question you asked.
This is that chart.

Aries is rising, so you are Mars, in Leo you would have been a man in this life.
In the 5th house you could be an artist, lover or gambler, speculator.
The closest aspect to Mars is the square with Uranus in Taurus in the 2nd house.
So I’m tempted by a financial theme in this life, with perhaps you being a speculator.
Mars is sextile Jupiter.
Jupiter is the 9th house ruler, but that doesn’t fit with anyone on your list. However it is at 0.51 Cancer, a mere 3 minutes from A’s Sun, so it must be him.
Jupiter is in the 3rd house but tightly square to Saturn.
Saturn is the 10th house ruler so could well be T, as he is an Aries.
Saturn is conjunct Neptune in the 12th, so I feel that T could have lost his job and maybe ended up in prison, as a result of his dealings with A.
Saturn is widely quincunx Mars, so you would be impacted by this association.

As the horary suggests a 10th house theme, we will regress your chart to when your Sun was conjunct your Jupiter.
This takes us to the year 1836.

As well as your regressed Sun being conjunct your Jupiter, your regressed Venus is exactly conjunct your North Node and your regressed Mars is square to your Pluto.
The timing also suggests you were born in January 1777 making you aged 59 at the time of this event.

A’s regressed Sun would have been conjunct his Neptune
His regressed Moon would be conjunct his Sun, so he was definitely involved in this life.
It is interesting that A has an 8th house Venus in opposition to a 2nd house Jupiter in his current life, which might indicate an over optimistic view around how to make money.
This regression takes his Venus exactly back to conjunct his Jupiter, so could be showing us where this theme comes from.
These are certainly very important regressions and perhaps it’s these past life events that are the most significant ones for him.
A would have been a similar age to you, being born in November 1777.
Using dowsing I found that you were living in New York at the time.
“In 1836, the primary financial institutions in the United States were state-chartered banks. The Second Bank of the United States, a central bank, played a significant role in the nation’s finances but faced political opposition, particularly from President Andrew Jackson, leading to its closure.
This central bank, established in 1816, served as a depository for federal funds, issued currency, and regulated state banks. Its charter expired in 1836, and Jackson, a vocal opponent, refused to renew it, effectively dissolving the institution.”
The deregulation of this bank forced it to become a private enterprise and a number of people lost their jobs.
A shortage of hard currency ensued, causing the Panic of 1837, a financial crisis that turned into a depression.
I believe that you all worked for the Second Bank and suffered from the turmoil of the time.
This was your birthchart for that life.

The Sun in Capricorn in the 10th house opposite Jupiter in the 4th would be fitting for a banker who possibly owed his position to his being born into the right family.
The Sun conjunct Pluto would indicate some major upheaval and loss of your job at some point.
The Moon square to Uranus in the 2nd would indicate financial uncertainty.
A T Square involving the Ascendant opposite Saturn in the 7th forming an apex with Mercury in the 10th would suggest loss of career status related to a betrayal from a former partner.”
In her current life M’s career had been interrupted by a health incident and for the last five years she had been pursuing an insurance claim through the courts in relation to it.
This fits very clearly with the transits that she has had over this period.

With the Sun opposite Pluto in the 9th, and Moon in the 8th opposite Venus in the 2nd we can see difficulties around finances and legal issues.
During this period, M has had transit Pluto square to her Moon and transit Uranus conjunct her Sun.
It has been a very complicated and uncertain time of her life, particularly around money.
These transits had come to an end however and as her Saturn Return passed, things improved greatly for her.
M contacted me a couple of weeks ago
“I’m writing to provide an update on a few things that seem aligned and relevant to my second past life review.
Last we communicated, I shared that my personal injury case had settled. I received those funds in September, and A had revealed his debt load of upwards of $300k to me. He immediately requested a substantial amount from me with the intention of handling household expenses, negotiating our debts, and jump-starting his day trading career. He wanted to “future-proof” our lives. He asked me to keep this request “in-house”—meaning, he didn’t want me to seek outside opinions from my mother and close girlfriends. Still, I sought their advice, and they all agreed that the amount was too much for someone with whom I had no legal partnership.
Long story short, I gave him these funds on Oct. 7. I wanted to wait until after the full moon, but I realized I should have waited at least a week longer because feelings of regret started to seep in only a couple of days after. When I expressed these feelings of doubt and regret, he weaponized them against me. I asked for most of it back, and he obliged. The next day, however, he said he felt my request was rash and that I was not thinking clearly so he was not going to go back to the bank to wire back the funds. I packed up my things and my dad drove to pick me up the very next day.
I am deeply hurt by this outcome and am still processing these feelings and forgiving myself. As you know from our June consultation, the latest iteration of our relationship had not been smooth. I’ve been recounting the last 8 months of us living together and questioning if he intended to ask this of me all along. I believe that if my case had not settled when it did, we would have broken up. When it did settle, I realized he had lightened up on the things that had once pressed him. So yeah.. that is what I’ve been processing for the last month.”

Fittingly for someone with a 9th house Sun, A worked as a lawyer, but he also had a keen interest in crypto and saw himself as a would be trader.
This also is evident in his chart with Mercury and Venus in the 8th house.
These two in opposition with Jupiter in Sagittarius in the 2nd pointed to someone who was overly optimistic about his capacity to make money in this fashion.
This happened a month ago and M has still not heard from A.
She now believes that A had been having second thoughts about their relationship for some time but had only stayed with her because he was anticipating her insurance settlement and wanted to get hold of it.
This viewpoint does sound likely.
This year Pluto moved forward as far as 3.49 Aquarius, within 1/4 degree square to A’s 7th house Moon.
You could see the separation coming.
But Pluto stopped and went retrograde for the time being. Over the last month it has turned forwards again and will perfect the square to A’s Moon by the middle of February.
So it seems that A was always likely to leave M, but was holding off waiting until he got his hands on her money.
I have since had a consultation with M and she has been remarkably accepting and understanding of this situation.
A is unable or unwilling to admit that he used her and has not been in touch.
She told me that re-reading her past life review had made it much easier to accept her break up with A and her financial loss because the same themes were being processed between them.
When I did the past life review for M, I had no knowledge of A’s crypto activity and his dreams of becoming a trader.
But the review brought it all up.
Back in 1836, A had become involved in a kind of insider trading incident that had come to light during the banking crisis and caused several people including M to lose their jobs.
Perhaps we could think that an awareness of that past life experience should have shown M the warning signs and stopped her from giving A the money, but I don’t think that would have helped.
If M had refused A’s request this would have created karmic resentment which would have inevitably brought them together again sometime in the future to have to deal with these same financial themes.
M giving him A the money and retreating to her parents house, accepting that their relationship is now over reminded me very much about my own situation with my ex.
It’s a fact of life that many relationships end in divorce.
These separations are often accompanied with animosity and hurt feelings which are complicated and exaggerated by the financial settlements.
Often at least one of the partners feels hard done by and carries resentment forward, in some cases for many years.
They don’t recognise that it’s this very resentment that is maintaining a karmic connection with that other person.
They don’t recognise this because they think it is just a product of their current life experience, they don’t realise that it has been repeated before with the same soul, possibly through many lifetimes.
Each time we come back with someone with whom we have this kind of connection, we do so because our souls are looking for an opportunity to resolve the issue.
But as humans, we are all creatures of habit and a pattern has built up unconsciously over many lifetimes is hard to break.
When the same stimulus arises in this life, it is likely that we will respond in the same way, particularly if we don’t understand where it comes from.
Until I had the vision that my ex killed me in 1915, I was prepared to fight her for our house.
I realised that for her to kill me, the negative karma that we had between us must have accumulated over many lifetimes and the last thing that I wanted was to have to deal with her again in a future life.
I had a clear choice – money or love.
There was no contest, I walked away from her and the money. For making that simple decision with the aid of a past life review, my current life has been transformed in every possible respect.
Whereas before I had been living in purgatory, now I am in paradise.
I sincerely hope that M is able to use her own past life experience to move on from A to Z.
So if you want to turbo charge your own life and release yourself from a partner or family member who you have a negative experience with, why not take a Past And Present Life Review
