I believe it’s very important for astrologers to put aside their own political and religious views when trying to come to an understanding of events on Earth.

That is why each morning I check out both the Guardian and the Daily Mail, not in the search for truth but to give me a wider net in order to catch unsuspecting subjects for astrology articles.

So I was intrigued to read that ” Pope Francis has denounced “offensive and unfounded insinuations” that his predecessor John Paul II went out at night looking for underage girls. “

That will surely quash the story, I thought.

No-one in their right mind would believe that the ” celibate ” leader of a religion obsessed with virginity and based on a preposterous story concocted by a 90 year old bloke who got some 12 year old girl pregnant, could do such a thing.

Along with that other story of the Cardinal who was convicted of child sex abuse and sentenced to jail but was later acquitted purely because the government of that country was run by a bunch of religious nut jobs.

And all those countless ” offensive and unfounded insinuations ” that the Catholic Church has spent the last few decades trying desperately to suppress.

So when reading that the Pope has denounced something during the week of a solar eclipse square to Pluto we certainly wouldn’t want to look to see where it fell on JP2’s natal chart.

Most of John Paul 11’s personal placements are in Venusian signs which would not obviously point to the kind of character that would get involved in such nocturnal pursuits but as we see time and again the real life themes are in the aspects.

The lights are in the 8th house and his Moon is the apex of a T Square involving a tight opposition between Saturn and Uranus.

His ruler, Venus is in the 7th house closely conjunct the South Node.

He was also born a few hours after a solar eclipse.

And the current one sits right on his Descendant.

So there would certainly be no need to read further to discover a Netflix documentary called Vatican Girl, about the disappearance in June 1983 of 15 year old Emanuela Orlandi and the claim that ” the teenager was molested by “someone close to the pope”.

Particularly given that 3 days after her ” disappearance “, there was another eclipse.

This eclipse coincided with a Saturn / Pluto conjunction falling bang on John Paul’s Ascendant.

So given all of the above and Pope Francis condemnation, we wouldn’t dream of checking the noon chart of Emanuela Orlandi to see what her synastry was with Frankie’s predecessor.

Emanuela had a close opposition between Mars in Pisces and Jupiter in Virgo which T squared onto an apex Neptune.

This sounds very much like an innocent falling under the spell of powerful religious figures.

Note how that opposition falls exactly on John Paul’s Saturn / Uranus one.

And how her apex Neptune falls exactly opposite JP’s Sun.

These two T Squares create a difficult Grand Cross.

Like John Paul, Emanuela also has a Saturn / Uranus opposition and there’s a good chance that this forms another T square with her Cancer Moon as the apex point.

And that Moon falls on John Paul’s Pluto.

It’s also extremely likely that the eclipse of June 1983 three days after Emanuela’s disappearance falls right across her Cancer Moon.

Why has Pope Francis brought this too our attention now ?

Because Saturn is working its way through both Emanuela and John Paul’s T Squares.

But surely Pope John Paul 11 was a Saint and any link to the sexual exploitation and even death of a young girl is ” offensive and unfounded “.

The questions ” Is the Pope a Catholic ? ” and ” Does the bear shit in the woods ? ” are used ironically as a response to a question or statement felt to be blatantly obvious.

If I simply published the charts in this article without putting a name to any of them, most readers would now believe that the Polish man born in 1920 was somehow involved in the disappearance and probable killing of the girl 50 years younger than him.

I proved this by putting 4 unnamed charts on my Facebook page and asking astrologers reading it to choose which one was most likely to be involved in such an act.

John Paul’s nativity was picked 4 times as often as any of the others.

Astrology simply tells things as they are. People can try all they might to project a certain image of themselves but their birth chart will show the whole story, who they are and what is going on even beneath the surface.

This is difficult for all of us especially those in the public eye.

We might have a strongly developed sense of right and wrong and try very hard to be and present ourselves as following the path of the good and noble but if our chart says that there are themes in our psyche and life that insist on the things that we believe are wrong, we are in big trouble.

Suppression does not work. If we have certain energies in our chart they have to be given a constructive avenue for expression and release.

If not they will cause big problems and force their way through in destructive tendencies.

The most common way that people try to deny aspects of their own nativity is through projecting their own repressed behaviours onto others.

This is extremely common amongst so called religious people.

Every single person expressing homophobia, transphobia and misogyny and excusing it for religious reasons is doing that because they fear and are confused by their own sexual themes as indicated in their own charts.

In fact the main reason for organised religion to exist at all is the fear and control of the female.

But desire and sexuality will not just go away because we don’t allow them to be expressed.

It doesn’t matter how hard you try to be ” good “, the more you try the more the thing that you are trying to suppress becomes stronger and the more it also becomes a threat and a ” bad ” thing.

This energy will find its way out one way or another.

If we don’t acknowledge it in the daytime of our lives through having an intimate relationship with someone else on an equal footing, it will force us to roam the streets of Rome at night looking for secret and innocent targets.

Astrology reveals that there are as many different aspect combinations of the Moon, Venus and Mars with the other planets as there are churches in the world.

Some of these combinations are relatively asexual and would fit fairly easily with a celibate life, because those natal energies could be simply redirected into other pursuits.

For many other combinations celibacy would be impossible and any attempt to impose it would be dangerous and extremely risky both for the self and other people.

It might be that someone with a strong Saturn and Neptune could pull off a celibate life with little or no problem, but someone with Mars rising in Libra, Venus in Taurus in the 7th house and a T Square apex eclipsed Sun and Moon in the 8th house definitely could not, even if he was the Pope.

So yes Pope Francis you might find it offensive to insinuate that your predecessor took out his repressed sexuality on innocent teenage girls, but maybe the rest of us are a lot more offended by your ridiculous religion with its absurd notions of hell and fear of sex, that forced him to do it.

At least the bear leaves its shit in the woods.
