The Seven Trumpets Of Rafahlations

The sole purpose for studying astrology is for understanding.

These days we need this more than ever. We seem to have access to infinite amounts of information, all the details at our fingertips, but our capacity to bring all this together in any kind of connected way is diminishing all the time.

Even the world of astrology is not immune. We have complex software that can instantly reveal the tiniest detail yet there seems to be little real, practical understanding of the whole subject.

Someone will proudly announce that their Lilith is biseptile their Vertex, but have no concept of what weight (if any) this should have in relation to their other placements.

Even the obsession with their placements gives the impression of unconnected separate bits of themselves and an inability to see the whole person.

When we read an astrology book, it will be packed full of paragraphs for every different possible placement.

Our focus should be on patterns, the way these separate parts connect with others. This is what actually reveals our lives, not an obsession with our bits.

This is why I promote the aspects (the angles between planets) as being far more important than the positions in space that those parts hold.

A similar thing applies to the movements of planets.

People will get very caught up with a specific transit, rather than look to see what that might mean alongside the ones that have just occurred, those that are ongoing and those that have yet to come.

Context is everything. And this is exactly what most books on astrology miss.

In the run up to the 2016 US election I encountered an “astrologer” who was convinced Hilary Clinton would win because the Sun would in Scorpio (her own Sun sign) when the election was happening.

I pointed out that US elections always fall in the first week of November, so by her logic either party should simply choose a Scorpio to win every time.

This is a caricature of a major failing amongst many astrological pundits. They will look for one thing that they believe is what they need and prognosticate on that.

It is true that an election happens on a particular day, but the result of that election will impact strongly on the next 4 years of that person’s life and at the very least we should consider the period around inauguration which in the US happens about 10 weeks later.

If I had a dollar for every time I posted Donald Trump’s chart, I could probably pay all his fines, but I make no apology for it, because it is such a perfect astrological teaching tool.

Trump was born on a lunar eclipse.

This makes his Sun Gemini/Moon Sagittarius opposition that much more powerful.

The Gemini/Sagittarius thing creates a real motormouth, always having a great deal to say about everything and usually it will be the first thing that comes into his head.

The Sun is in the 10th house so a prominent career is a given. The Moon is in the 4th so the family dynamic is powerful.

The Sun is conjunct Uranus so that career is going to be unusual, chaotic and eccentric.

He has Leo rising with Mars closely conjunct the Ascendant so he will project a strong, assertive, warrior like dominant image.

His Sun/Uranus and Moon make favourable aspects to Jupiter (trine and sextile) in the 2nd house so he is going to be very rich, much of that coming through inheritance.

This is all very elementary stuff, I would imagine every astrologer on the planet would be in broad agreement (at least everyone that uses the Tropical Zodiac).

What about November 2016 then?

This marked such a massive change in world politics – before this we had Barack Obama, from here onwards it seemed the main qualification for political leadership had to be an IQ of below 50.

Why did so many astrologers get this wrong?

Probably because they don’t know Uranus from their elbow.

It’s obvious that Uranus will play a major role in Trump’s career. Any slow moving planet that plays such a role in a chart will have a devastatingly powerful impact when it forms transits to those natal positions.

By transit Uranus takes 84 years to go round, so around age 21 it would be square to his Sun and Moon, at 42 it would be conjunct the Moon and opposite the Sun, at 63 it would be square again, but these are all difficult aspects.

The periods when it would trine one and sextile the other would be the most favourable. So around the age of 14,28,56 and wait for it… 70.

On November 8th 2016, transit Uranus was at 21.34 Aries in exact trine to his Moon and sextile his Sun and North Node.

We could actually say that this transit began in February of that year with Uranus at 17 Aries so sextile it’s natal position in Trump’s chart.

The Republican primaries began in February. Trump was an outsider at this point, the favourites were Jeb Bush and Scott Walker.

On May 26th, Donald Trump reached the threshold needed to take the Republican nomination. Transit Uranus on that day was 22.55 Aries, exactly to the minute sextile his Sun.

Uranus transits to anyone’s placements will generally cover a period of about a year. It will go forward, backward and then forward again. So basically it gets three hits at you.

If it was just once, it would have probably meant that becoming the GOP candidate would in itself have been the peak for Trump.

In August, it reached 24.30 and turned backwards. It reached the exact sextile to the Sun again in October and trine his Moon for the election.

It came back as far as 20.30 Aries at the end of the year and turned forward again completing the transit in the first 3 months of 2017.

This in itself would have been easily enough to beat Hilary Clinton, but on top of that there was Jupiter.

Trump’s natal Jupiter is also a major player, given it’s incredibly favourable position in his 2nd house trine his Sun and sextile his Moon.

On inauguration day Jupiter was at 22.42 Libra exactly trine Trump’s Sun.

This is the only time in his life that he would have such a favourable combination of Jupiter and Uranus.

It was a total shoo in. I spotted it as soon as he unexpectedly declared his candidacy in June 2015 and quickly jumped on then 40/1 odds on offer.

Why am I banging on about Donald Trump when this is meant to be an article about Israel’s genocide in Palestine?

Because we are seeing those two major players again, Jupiter and Uranus.

Back in October, I wrote Uranus Hamas Away identifying the planet as the cause of the October 7th Hamas attacks and Israel’s response that falls little short of grand scale ethnic cleansing in the region “justified” by it’s right to “defend itself”.

The chart for Israel has a strong fixed emphasis with Sun, Moon, Ascendant and Mars all in those signs.

That they would be a dominant force in there region is clear from the Moon/Pluto conjunction in Leo at the Midheaven.

Their role as aggressors would be seen by the Sun/Mars square aspect.

Their immediate opponents are also obvious from the synastry.

This chart is for the proclamation of the independence of Palestine, made by Yasser Arafat and is the one that makes most sense.

The Israel Mars is right on the Palestine Ascendant.

The difficult square between Mars and Saturn/Uranus in the Palestine chart forms a T square with the Israel Venus.

The Plutos of both charts are exactly square each other.

But the clearest indication of conflict between them is that the Palestine Sun at 22.49 Scorpio is exactly opposite the Israel Sun at 23.41 Taurus.

On October 7th, the day of the Hamas attacks, Uranus was at 22.28 Taurus, exactly opposite the Palestine Sun and conjunct the Israeli one.

Even though this was instigated by Hamas, the aspects clearly show the result would be in Israel’s interest. This gave them a perfect excuse to pursue their long term aim of wiping their opponents off the map, that of self defence.

Uranus was retrograde for the later months of 2023, turning forward in late January.

By the end of April it had reached 22 Taurus again but this time it was joined by Jupiter.

The final week of April saw a proposed ceasefire from Israel with the release of hostages as a condition. Under the threat of an all out invasion of the city of Rafah, Hamas agreed to the proposals.

The Jupiter/Uranus conjunction has been heralded by many astrologers as “a good thing” and a vehicle for positive change. As usual, events of that nature that had occurred under this influence in previous times were trotted out as evidence. The Moon Landing of 1969 occurred with Jupiter conjunct Uranus in Libra.

It seemed that everything was going to plan, and the fact that the conjunction was happening right on the Israel Sun heralded a win for them and a defeat for Palestine.

But the Israeli government refused to honour the ceasefire that they themselves proposed, and continued with their invasion, suggesting that the whole thing had been a sham anyway.

As I write this, Jupiter has moved on to 26 Taurus and is approaching the square aspect with the Israel Mars and the Palestine Ascendant.

So it seems that the next week will see the Israel forces converge on Rafah.

The Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu is particularly gung ho, saying that they will proceed even if they have to go alone. He is dependent on the support of right wing figures for his own position, so will not back down.

But this is a big mistake for Israel.

Jupiter conjunct your Sun is as good as it gets. Calling a halt at this point with a favourable treaty would have maintained the support of the US government.

Going beyond it jeopardises the relationship with one of their biggest fans.

US President, Joe Biden’s Sun and Venus are at the end of Scorpio and just like the Palestine Ascendant are about to get hammered by Jupiter.

And Biden’s chief concern in an election year is how to drag the increasingly fractured anti Trump consensus over the finish line in November.

He is already losing votes amongst young people and Muslims which he would have expected to count on. Weakness and an embarrassing humiliation by Netanyahu will inevitably be pounced on by Trump, once he has got past his own storm in a DD cup.

Biden of course is heading for his Uranus Return and it’s an absurd situation that the Democrats couldn’t come up with anything better than a Second Dementia Term.

On top of this Uranus will be opposite his Sun, Venus and Ascendant over the next few years.

That’s without even mentioning Pluto.

Transit Pluto is at 2 Aquarius, having just passed the square to his Moon. It has now turned backwards and will be holding that aspect for the rest of the year.

In the last few months, with the US stock market boom and Trump’s accumulating court appearances, Biden has looked like winning in November, but by the end of this month that situation could look quite different.

Uranus will hit the Israel Sun for the final time and a Jupiter square Mars assault on Rafah could be a key factor.

Joe Biden has spent his whole political life as a strong supporter of Israel, it could well be that this will cause the end of his career.

On the last day of this month, Uranus reaches the exact degree and minute of Donald Trump’s Midheaven.

In the Book of Revelations seven trumpets are sounded, one at a time, to cue apocalyptic events.

November 2016 was the first Trumpet, January 6th 2021 might have been the second one.

The Rafahlation could well sound the third.

All we can do is watch and try and use the astrology to understand these interconnected world events as they unfold.

What we shouldn’t do is assume Joe Biden will be re-elected just because he’s a Scorpio.
