Astrology is really very simple. It is also very easy to prove it scientifically. All that needs to be done is to focus on the the Sun’s placing around the four angles of the chart.
If it’s midday with the Sun at the top of the chart, the native’s career will be the major focus of their lives. At midnight it will be their home and family.
As the Sun rises, the person’s own individual themes will be strongest, at sunset it will be those of the marriage or relationship.
Over a decade ago, I proved this with the largest piece of statistical research ever done in astrology, The Capricorn Research Project using all of the timed charts on the astrodatabank of public figures (over 20,000).
It proves that famous people are more likely to be born with the Sun in the east. The odds of this occurring by chance are 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000010094 %
Which coincidentally is exactly the same percentage as the chance of any “scientist” even looking at my research.
I have come to recognise that while delusion in its many forms is widely available to everyone, truth only appears to those able to see and understand it.
So I have given up trying to persuade the all fuckwits in the world, and just spend my life analysing and writing reports on the many thousands of other astrological themes that were revealed while doing the research.
The main thrust of the research project was the Sun alone, but the findings would be even stronger in charts where there was a stellium around one of the angles.
The 1st/7th house personal / relationship theme is fascinating.
But what if you achieved notoriety solely for your relationship?
Maybe you would have had a chart like this.
I have many charts of people with the Sun exactly on the Descendant. These people always have powerful relationship themes that dominate their lives.
The exact opposition with their Ascendant can cause all kinds of trouble as well.
Mary Kay Letoruneau was “an American sex offender and teacher who pleaded guilty in 1997 to two counts of felony second-degree rape of a child. Letourneau was 34, and the child, Vili Fualaau, was 12 years old when she initiated the sexual abuse. He was her sixth-grade student at an elementary school in Burien, Washington. While awaiting sentencing, she gave birth to Fualaau’s daughter. With the state seeking a seven and a half year prison sentence, she reached a plea agreement calling for six months in jail with three months suspended and no contact with Fualaau for life, among other terms. The case received national attention.
Shortly after Letourneau had completed three months in jail, the police caught her in a car with Fualaau. A judge revoked her plea agreement and reinstated the prison sentence for the maximum allowed by law of seven and a half years. Eight months after returning to prison, she gave birth to Fualaau’s second child, another daughter. She was imprisoned from 1998 to 2004. Letourneau and Fualaau were married in May 2005, and the marriage lasted 14 years until their separation in 2019.”
In the casual way that is passed off on Astrotwitter as extensive research, I asked my wife to name the three most entitled Zodiac signs. A very speedy reply brought Leo, Sagittarius and Aquarius.
So someone with this rising, Moon and Sun combination would naturally feel entitled to help themselves to anything they desired in the house of their Sun’s choice.
This would be considerably enhanced by the Sun’s conjunction with Venus and Jupiter.
Letourneau’s Mars was in Capricorn conjunct Saturn, so you could say a more conventional expression of sexuality was off limits to her. So she compensated for this by grooming and abusing a 12 year old boy.
The Sun’s exact opposition formed a T square with an apex Neptune in the 4th.
This theme is significant as Letourneau was born into an extremely strict Catholic family with a right wing Republican politician for a father (who even ran as an independent in the 1972 Presidential election).
When she was 11, her 3 year old brother drowned in the family swimming pool.
When she started abusing Fualauu, she was already married with four children so the apex 4th house Neptune was also responsible for the break up of her family.
As well as the apex Neptune T Square, Letourneau had the Moon square to Pluto and Uranus quincunx her Mars, all difficult challenging aspects.
All of these features were triggered by transit conjunctions of the three outer planets during the period of abuse (1995 – 98).
Transit Uranus was conjunct her Mars in 1995 and Sun in 1998.
Pluto was conjunct her Moon (1996-97)
Neptune was conjunct her Mars (96-97).
It goes without saying that none of these would occur again in her lifetime.
What of the victim?
We don’t have a birthtime for Vili Fualaau so are unable to see what his 7th house would be like.
He has a Capricorn Moon and Cancer Sun which might go some way to identifying a need for an older mother figure in his life.
Vili has an exact Mars/Neptune opposition (within half a degree).
If I was to hazard a guess, I would suggest an evening time which places this opposition across the Ascendant/Descendant axis.
This chart also tightens the Capricorn Moon’s square with Saturn and Pluto, an aspect that you would certainly expect in a case like this.
Neptune is right on the Ascendant.

Vili’s Mars forms an exact Yod with his abuser/wife’s Mars/Uranus quincunx.
His Venus is opposite her 7th house Jupiter.
His Uranus is exactly conjunct her Moon.
His Saturn/Pluto conjunction is tightly square to her Mars.
The last two are interesting though as for Vili they are generational planets. Maybe its suggesting that Letourneau’s choice of victim was not so much a personal one, more because of his age.
Given Vili’s young age at the time of the abuse, there is less chance for the slower moving planets to have formed significant transits to natal patterns.
However transit Saturn was square to both his Sun and Moon at the time.
But perhaps the most astrologically intriguing thing about this whole story is the fact that Mary Kay Letourneau was born just a few days before a solar eclipse.
And not just any old eclipse either. This one had been predicted for years by Hindu astrologers to portend that the earth would be “bathed in the blood of thousands of kings”.
The Aetherias Society director Keith Robertson was awaiting disaster, along with many of the society’s members. He had forecast that “very soon the world will do a ‘big flip’ when the poles will change places with the equator… 75 percent of the world’s population will be killed”
Astrologer Jean Dixon predicted that the antichrist would be born on that day. As it turns out this was probably a reference to Ringo Starr
What was this eclipse and how might it relate to Mary Kay Letourneau?
It included the tightest concentration of planets in Aquarius that had ever occurred (all the traditional 7 planets within 16 degrees).
If the chart was cast for Letourneau’s birthplace (Orange CA), this all falls in a tight 7th house, with the Mars/Saturn conjunction right on the Descendant.
The purpose of astrology is understanding.
Mary Kay Letourneau was rightly vilified for her grooming and child rape of Fualaau.
But as you can see, given her time and date of birth, she had little option.
This whole tale emphasizes the importance of the angles in a birthchart.
Because the thing that gives the Letourneau story such power is the exact opposition between her Sun and Ascendant and the T Square apex Neptune.
But unless you understand the tremendous power of the angles in a chart, you will miss much of this.
When it comes to it, the people who should receive the strongest vilification are those that try to sell non quadrant based house systems.
The Whole Sign housers are grooming unsuspecting and innocent astrological 12 year olds.
Maybe the antichrist does have Aquarian placements after all, along with a Scorpio stellium.
