The old joke “What borders on stupidity?” has never felt more appropriate.

Mexico and Canada have often had their patience tried by their noisy neighbours, but now the very epitome of loud stupidity is about to take over.

A birthchart is an endlessly fascinating symbolic map, there are always new ways of looking at it.

Anyone born on a lunar eclipse is naturally going to have a strong us and them complex. With such a powerful Sun/Moon opposition, the tendency would always be to identify with the solar end and project all ones problems onto the darker, lunar side.

If that Moon was in Sagittarius, it would be fitting for someone to see foreigners as his enemy.

If the Sun was in Gemini, he would be extremely vocal about it.

With that Moon in the 4th house, the greatest evil would be perceived as those foreigners trying to infiltrate home soil.

This is all fairly straightforward analysis, it doesn’t take an astrological Freud or Jung to figure it out, but what has just occurred to me is that the Moon being at the bottom of the chart explains Donald Trump’s absurd obsession with his southern neighbours.

Canadians have probably been raising their eyebrows so often at the antics south of their own border, that they have got frostbite on them.

But the Canada chart doesn’t have that much to fear about Trump’s presidency. Their Moon and Venus are both (albeit widely) conjunct his Sun.

Mexico, on the other hand…..

With Saturn in Sagittarius, Mexico would fit very comfortably into Trump’s own notion of an evil empire.

As Saturn is conjunct Neptune and opposite Jupiter in Gemini in the 9th house, the idea of these people sending all their drug lords to invade the “land of the free” as their northerly neighbours catches on pretty quickly in a psyche as insane and absurd as Trump’s.

But for Mexico there is far more to fear.

Mexico’s Sun at 22.55 Virgo is exactly square to Trump’s own at 22.54 Gemini.

And in March there will be another lunar eclipse.

Whenever an eclipse is mentioned in an astrology article it seems that the writer feels contractually obliged to mention the 19 year cycle blah blah.

To my way of looking at it a lunar eclipse that falls exactly square to another one is far more scary. This is when we get to witness the true meaning of the word lunatic.

This lunar eclipse forms a tight Grand Cross with Trump’s own Sun and Moon.

The last time this happened was in September 2016, just before he was about to take over the asylum.

That eclipse had the Sun conjunct Jupiter and forming a T square with Mars, which was just one more reason why I was certain that he would become President a matter of weeks later.

The coming one is far worse, not least because it falls closely conjunct Saturn.

This eclipse falls opposite the Mexico Sun and square to Trump’s own, so maybe his threats to start some kind of war with this southern neighbours are not idle ones.

The Mexico chart is cast for the day that is celebrated as a Declaration of Independence from Spain.

It has a volatile Sun/Pluto opposition.

Over the next few years transit Pluto will be squaring the Mexico Moon/Venus opposition.

The last time Pluto aspected this pair (in Scorpio conjunct Venus, opposite the Moon) was in 1986. The World Cup that year was hosted there and the Mexican wave was invented.

This next one, inspired by Trump’s demonic shadow side could turn out to be a tsunami.

We all know that his second term with its vengeful focus on his enemies will be worse than the first one.

First time round he threatened to build a wall. The rest of the world is hoping that this time he will build four of them. And a roof.
