Life is all about cycles and astrology is the key to understanding them.
We can see this obviously in nature. The Sun’s yearly cycle is evident wherever we are on the planet.
The Moon’s monthly influence on tides is also taken for granted.
The reason that most people don’t see the same cycles for the other planets is because they aren’t looking for and at them. This lack of objectivity is probably due to the fact that they are caught in the middle of the experience and therefore unable to step back and see these cycles for what they are.
This is certainly true on an individual level but it is even more so when we start to look into global events.
Mundane astrology is “the branch of astrology focused on world affairs, analysing planetary cycles to predict political events, economic trends, natural disasters, and societal shifts for nations, cities, and collective groups”.
Major global events are triggered by planetary cycles. All we need to understand them are the foundation charts of the nations involved.
When you look at the charts of these three nations next to each other what do they all have in common?
A major placement in 27-28 degrees of Fixed signs.
The USA has the Moon at 27.10 Aquarius, Israel has Mars at 28.18 Leo and Iran has the Moon at 28.33 Taurus.
If we add into this mix the chart of an unstable moron.
Donald Trump’s own Mars at 26.46 and Ascendant at 29.45 Leo acts as a flamethrower to this combination.
When we know that transit Uranus has been moving through these degree areas of Taurus since May 2025, it explains why we have the current war in Iran.
This accounted for the US bombings last June, but the tension levels between these three nations went up seriously since December as Uranus stationed in that area.
The US/Israel strike on Iran was predictable.
In fact I actually predicted it in the article Will There Be Another Iranian Revolution? posted on January 19th.
“As I write this Uranus is coming to a halt at 27.28 Taurus, which if we are using this chart for Iran, seems to be threatening more of the same.
Particularly for the next month or so.
Solar eclipses will often bring tensions between countries to a head, particularly if they have challenging aspects with a heavyweight slow mover like Uranus.
The square between the Sun and Moon at 28.49 Aquarius and Uranus at 27.32 Taurus sits right on the lunar square between the two countries.
Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are in the same places as they were for the June bombing last year.
Donald Trump wouldn’t be the first US President to use attacking a foreign country to distract people from problems back home, indeed George W Bush used the Iraq War to great effect in aiding his reelection in 2004.
And with Saturn and Neptune coming back into Aries with more Jeffrey Epstein related themes building, the need for such distraction is increasing by the day”.
Eleven days after the eclipse the USA and Israel launched their strike on Iran.
Why did it happen on that date?
Because Mars joined in.
As Mars reached the eclipse degree and triggered the square with Uranus, the war began.
This was predictable, not least because it had happened before.
The lunar eclipse before the US Invasion of Iraq in March 2003 hits the same areas, 27.32 degrees of Fixed signs.
There is also the square to Uranus at 25 Aquarius.
This was the last time there was an eclipse aspecting Uranus in the later degrees of Fixed signs.
Maybe Trump has an astrologer in his ear telling him that as Uranus would be out of Taurus by the end of April, this would be a quick one two knockout punch and an easy win with regime change and a victory parade within a couple of months.
Is that true though?
The simple answer is no, because of Pluto and Saturn.
And Pluto is particularly important in the Israel chart, because of its conjunction with the Moon.
In any chart where Pluto conjoins an important placement, its transit to oppose that combination will be seriously triggering.
In Uranus Hamas Away, posted back in October 2023, I showed that this raid and the genocidal response from Israel and devastation of Gaza was triggered by transit Uranus being conjunct the Israel Sun at 23.39 Taurus which at the same time was exactly opposite the Palestine Sun at 22.49 Scorpio.
There was also an eclipse in October 2023.
This one did not fall in the later degrees of Fixed signs.
It was actually at 5.10 of Taurus/Scorpio forming an exact T Square with the Israel Moon at 4.21 Leo.
This is the chart that links the Israeli response to the Hamas attacks and the devastation of Gaza with the strike on Iran nearly 2.5 years later.
At the time of the US/Israel strike on Iran, Pluto was at 4.30 Aquarius, exactly opposite the Israel Moon.
Pluto remains in opposition with this Moon until December 2027, so at least from Israel’s perspective we are looking at a long drawn out struggle.
Also unlike the Gaza genocide which was triggered by Uranus being conjunct its Sun and opposing the Palestine Sun, which showed a one sided campaign easily won by Israel, this Pluto transit is an opposition.
Pluto is also opposing the Israel Moon from the 4th house, so you would imagine that there would be some form of destruction happening inside Israel itself.
Pluto’s transit also links in to the new leader of Iran.
Many commentators are saying that Mojtaba Khameini is a more hardline figure than his assassinated father and predecessor Ali.
With the Moon in Leo in square to Saturn, and a Sun/Mars square, astrology would be in agreement with that assessment.
This also means that the Khameini’s Moon is closely conjunct the Israel Moon and the current Pluto transit is opposing his Moon as well.
You would imagine that this transit would be suggesting Mojtaba won’t be Iran’s new leader for long, but to know exactly how long we would need his birthtime and the exact position of his Moon.
For the impact of this war on the USA, we have to look at Saturn.
As I write this Saturn is at 4 Aries.
It has just passed the square to the US Venus, and is heading for the square to its Sun which will hit in June this year and stay in range until September.
This is an important transit because of the exact natal Sun/Saturn square.
This is the most difficult aspect in the nation’s chart and with Saturn being in the 10th house, it has described the country’s capacity to kill off its own leaders every 20 years. For more information on this theme see Coincidence – The Greatest Conspiracy Theory Of Them All
We could hope that the moron in charge would be another of these, but sadly he wasn’t inaugurated in a year with a Jupiter/Saturn conjunction.
That would be Joe Biden in 2021 and arguably it did for him too, because he was forced to step down from his plans to run for a 2nd term because he had one foot in the grave.
What is this Saturn transit likely to provide for the USA then?
Saturn is transiting through its 4th house, so as in the case of Israel and Pluto, you would imagine that there would be a feeling of repercussions at home.
The US Sun in Cancer (conjunct Jupiter) on the cusp of the 8th has always suggested to me a country that is exceptionally skilled at appropriating other people’s money.
Last year while Jupiter was conjunct the US Sun, I said that the economy would not experience the inevitable depressing results of Donald Trump’s crazy tariff regime.
I predicted that the real impact on the economy of these measures would be felt with this year’s Saturn transits. Now we have the war in Iran and its impact on oil prices (see every Middle East conflict over the last 60 years), it seems clear that this is where the USA will be feeling Saturn’s pinch.
What about Iran?
The Iran Sun is in close square to the US Sun.
The Iran Moon is square to the US Moon as we have seen being triggered by the transit of Uranus for the attack.
These two countries are therefore natural enemies and as the Iran Sun is also opposite the US Saturn, this explains why the latter has had a pathological fear and loathing of the former ever since the revolution.
Transit Saturn will be conjunct the Iran Sun for much of this year so things are not looking good. The fact that this transit is also hitting the country’s 4th house doubles down on this prognosis.
Is anyone else going to get dragged into this war?
In a way yes.
With the Sun at 14 Aries and part of a stellium involving Venus. Mars and Mercury, these placements in the NATO chart are all in square to the Sun/Venus/Jupiter conjunction in Cancer in the US chart.
They are also opposite the US Saturn.
There is a tight opposition between the NATO Sun and Neptune which shows how easily this organisation can be undermined, particularly by its principal member.
Between 2027 and 2032, transit Neptune will conjoin that Aries stellium.
Every astrological chart, whether for a person, an idea or a country holds within it, the seeds of its demise. It is hard to see NATO surviving that Neptune transit.
Given that, with Saturn hitting the NATO stellium and stationing right on the NATO Sun you would imagine that this year would mark the biggest threat to this organisation that it has had in its history so far.
A number of countries will be under increasing pressure to join in the war.
The UK has a Sun at 10 Capricorn, as does Australia. France has the Sun at 12 Libra, Canada at 8 Cancer. All of them will be having Saturn either square or opposite their Suns over the next few months.
The biggest global concern however would have to be China’s role in all this.
Saturn will be opposite the China Sun in April and the pressure to get involved in the Iran War will become intense.
This narrative is backed up by the fact that Pluto is stationing on the Chinese Ascendant.
For some time I have been concerned about Pluto’s transit over the China Moon and Ascendant. My expectation was that this could trigger an attack of its own on Taiwan.
China’s Moon and Ascendant is closely opposite the Israel Moon so they would be natural enemies.
This animosity would inevitably be triggered by these Pluto transits.
It is important to note that Pluto is conjunct China’s Moon and Ascendant and opposite Israel’s Moon. So therefore you would expect things to work out more in the interests of China.
In A Time To Rule, A Time To Swallow Bleach written during Trump’s first term I point out that transit Pluto conjunct the US Sun in the 1920s marked the start of that county’s period of global domination.
With Pluto conjunct the China Moon and Ascendant the baton is being passed over.
So far, China’s way of negotiating through the Pluto/Moon transit has been to sit back and let Donald Trump dismantle the US Empire for them. They are no longer considered the evil communists of yore and are now being lauded by most of the world as a country you can do business with who won’t shaft you with retaliatory tariffs every 5 minutes.
China seems to be operating on an intelligent Tai Chi principle of warfare which is when under attack, take a step backwards encouraging your enemy to overreach and while they are off balance, it is a simple matter to push them over.
We all have to hope that this way of thinking continues to prevail.
The USA and Israel have certainly taken a step too far with this attack on Iran.
Their experiences in Gaza and Venezuela had encouraged both to expect an easy victory along with regime change in Iran.
Donald Trump’s own stupidity and naivety had failed to anticipate the knock on effect of Iran’s retaliation by closing the Strait of Hormuz and creating havoc amongst the richer nations of the Middle East.
The main reason why the USA conducts its wars in the Middle East is because it is far enough away to avoid any direct missile strikes back home, but there are many ways to fight in a conflict and economic pressure through oil is probably Iran’s real nuclear weapon.
Hopefully China and NATO will be able to deal with their Saturn transits in a Tai Chi fashion and let Trump blow himself out of the water.
The best way to deal with a Saturn transit is to step back and consider the long term.
With Mars rising in Leo, Donald Trump is totally incapable of doing either.
Saturn’s impact on the US economy will bring a profound defeat in the November Mid Terms, a result that will begin the end of the Orange Empire.
Given that it was the transit of Mars square to Uranus that triggered the Iran attack, we have to be wary of its transit into the early degrees of Taurus square to Pluto towards the end of May.
In the meantime we all have to hold our breath and hope that China does too.
This is the thing when you are in the middle of a cycle, it’s hard to step back and see exactly how its peaks and troughs impact on the longer term, even with aid of mundane astrology.
Our subject just gives us enough to have an objective understanding of world events, it certainly doesn’t give us immunity to them.
