What is the greatest peak achieved by a human being ?

Some might say the first step on the Moon, others maybe Queen Elizabeth being on the throne for 70 years, a few odd souls might believe Donald Trump getting through a rally without soiling his nappy.

But for this triple mountain goat, there’s no contest.

And although I’ve yet to draw a chart for the exact moment of one of those pained orange grimaces, astrology seems to agree.

A Sun / Jupiter conjunction right on the Midheaven at the time confirms it.

Mercury and Mars in Gemini opposite a Sagittarius Moon points to a long and arduous journey

Mars favourable aspects to Saturn, Neptune and Pluto say that for once, the gods are on side.

I have often heard sceptics say “ how can astrology be true when Edmund Hillary was a stay at home Cancer “.

But Sun sign astrology is entry level kindergarten stuff. 

No one in the right mind would say they know all there is to about Maths once they’ve mastered the two times table. The same would apply to Geography.

If you’re going to be the first person to climb Mount Everest, you would need at least to know the way to your front gate. 

Because despite having a 4 planet stellium in the sign, Edmund Hillary is as far from the classic description of a Cancer as it’s possible to get. 

There is some confusion about Edmund Hillary’s birth time but I like the one that someone reported from his mother of 1.00 pm.

Again we have the Sun / Jupiter conjunction, this one very close and in the 9th house of exploration and travel.

A pioneering Aries Moon with expansive Sagittarius rising reinforces these themes and a tight Mars / Pluto conjunction gives tremendous reserves of strength and energy.

Hillary reached the summit with Pluto conjunct his Mercury and Saturn / Neptune exactly opposite his Moon.

But of course he didn’t do it alone.

Tenzing Norgay reached the summit of Everest on his 39th birthday, so his Sun is in the same degree is the conquest chart.

This also means that Jupiter would be transiting his Sun at the time.

But as always with a quest like this the success of it depends on the synastry between the two people involved.

Norgay’s Cancer Moon is within half a degree of Hillary’s Sun.

His Venus is conjunct Hillary’s Mars and both form conjunctions with Pluto.

Norgay’s Sun is square Hillary’s Venus.

Both men have Mercury / Saturn conjunctions.

The Solar Eclipse of July that year indicated this achievement.

The extremely close conjunction with Mars and Uranus covers that well.

It’s interesting that although Everest was conquered by an New Zealander and a Nepalese, Britain claimed the credit for it.

That was all part of the timing.

Queen Elizabeth’s coronation happened 4 days after Hillary and Norgay reached the summit and the two events became linked.

It’s also interesting to note the similarities between the Everest chart and Donald Trump’s natal chart.

Both have a 10th house Gemini Sun opposite a 4th house Sagittarius Moon.

The Ascendants are only 7 degrees apart and house placings of Neptune and Pluto are the same.

Both have Sun / Moon / Jupiter aspects.

Many people believe the Apollo Moon landings were fake and Queen Elizabeth was a lizard.

Everest was conquered just before Donald Trump’s 7th birthday so maybe his first successful attempt at toilet training was the biggest achievement after all.
