Windsor Of Change – The Eclipses Of Royalty

Despite the many tragedies happening throughout the world, most of the attention for the last month has been focused on one family in particular, and their apparent inability to post photos that weren’t fake.

Inevitably this is due to the astrology of the time.

If Pluto’s transit through the early 20s degrees of Fixed signs in 1992 marked the “annus horribilis”, this year with Uranus entering the same degrees has brought the annus horrendous.

The last week has been particularly horrific with Princess Kate revealing that she has cancer.

Many pundits believe she was forced to come out with it. She was, but not by the internet rumours or media pressure.

Kate was prodded onto her bench by this week’s lunar eclipse. The actual news which she had to convey was a shock, but anyone who had been following these pages would have been expecting something traumatic.

I am no monarchist, I believe the emotional investment that people place in these characters is demeaning and childish. I don’t have anything in particular against the individuals (apart from Andrew obviously), but I really think we should not be living in a Disney theme park at this stage of our evolution.

The one constructive purpose that these characters do serve is to teach us more about astrology. So we should take this opportunity, and what better than to use it now to try and understand what eclipses are and how they fit with other transits.

The most important developments in someone’s life are marked by the transits of the outer planets.

This is simply because, due to their slow movement, they hit important placements in our charts only 2 or 3 times in our lives, and they remain within orb of a degree for a year or two.

So when one of these forms a major aspect (conjunction, opposition or square) to your Sun or Moon it will mark a critical change in your life.

So we are talking about maybe a dozen instances in your whole life, which will describe pretty much all of the major events that happen.

Which, if your astrological method doesn’t give due recognition to the transits of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, makes your observations about as useful as a chocolate flying teapot on a mission to the planet Mercury.

As stated earlier, these transits can last anything from one year (Uranus) to three (Pluto).

Within those time frames, there will be between three and even five contacts due to retrograde motion.

Each time the planet crosses over your placement, the effect of the transit will be more focused.

Other faster moving planets can act as triggers as well.

For example, if you have the Sun at 1 degree Aquarius, the period 2023 – 25 will be the major turning point in your life, because Pluto is transiting conjunct it.

This is likely to have been triggered around your birthday, because the Sun was at that degree as well, but even more so around the middle of February as Mars and Venus reached that degree then.

Any Full Moons operating around these degrees will act as a stronger stimulus, so the few days up to the 25th January would inevitably bring up some strong experiences related to the overall Pluto transit.

I would imagine that someone with that placement would have experienced something then that would give them plenty of insight into what to expect from the transit as a whole.

There will be another Full Moon at 29 Cancer/Capricorn in July, which will probably have a similar effect because it is within a couple of degrees of 1 Aquarius.

A lunar eclipse is like a much stronger Full Moon.

Eclipses occur twice a year in pairs,(one solar and one lunar) a fortnight away from each other.

But eclipses don’t necessarily align with the major transits that someone is experiencing at the time.

Over the next year, the eclipses are occurring in the Zodiac range between 24 Virgo/Pisces and 19 Aries/ Libra, so at least the person with Sun at 1 Aquarius won’t be handed extra trouble by them.

When they do align with the slower moving transits they are really tough.

The late Queen Elizabeth had two major transits for 2022.

Pluto was square to her Sun and Saturn was in her T square.

For a 96 year old, this is only going one way. She died in September of that year.

The two eclipses on either side of this date heralded her death.

The lunar eclipse in May formed a tight T square with an apex Saturn, reflecting Elizabeth’s own natal T Square. Note that this Saturn is only half a degree from being exactly square her own and the whole configuration falls within a degree of that natal placement.

The Solar eclipse of October, occurred at 2 Scorpio in tight opposition to Liz’s Sun.

Charles’ own Sun is 22 Scorpio in the 4th house of family and Moon is 0 Taurus in the 10th of career, so you can see how profoundly both those eclipses affected him.

This current lunar eclipse isn’t connected to any other planets in such a dramatic way.

There is a trine and sextile with Pluto, which is a way of connecting it with the Queen’s death and Charles’ succession, but other than that the only aspect is a wide separating conjunction with Neptune.

Which might seem innocuous enough, but in fact it isn’t.

This is a warning.

Because this eclipse, despite the shock news of Kate’s cancer diagnosis is not the cause of something major happening now. It is something that is to come.

As detailed in The Eclipse Of Pegasus, Prince William was himself born on a lunar eclipse in Cancer (the sign of family) in the 7th house (of marriage).

So this current eclipse forms an exact T Square to his Moon (within 10 minutes of arc).

So his wife (7th house) reveals that she has cancer (Cancer?).

Astrology can be so literal.

But this eclipse is just an advance warning of something much more challenging.

From March 2025 for the following three years, both Neptune and Saturn will form square aspects to William’s Sun and Moon.

So whereas the above May 2022 eclipse heralded an event that occurred that year, whatever has been flagged up during this one will find its real impact during those years.

Which is obviously not good news for Kate

Like William, she was born on an eclipse (a lunar one). Hers was even closer (a mere half a degree) and to top that it focused by T square onto an apex Saturn / Pluto conjunction.

The current lunar eclipse doesn’t hit Kate’s chart but the solar one does.

This eclipse forms a Grand Cross with Kate’s T square and is a mere 11 minutes away from a square to her Sun.

Again the eclipse chart has no major aspects, although the opposition to the Ascendant for London is significant.

My belief when writing the previous article was that this eclipse would be related to the year 2019, when both Saturn and Pluto were transiting conjunct Kate’s Sun.

Hence the idea that it was connected to something that happened back then and the rumours about William’s affair with Rose Hanbury.

It might be thought that Kate’s revelation that she has cancer would put a halt to these rumours, which with the approaching lunar eclipse were building to such a crescendo, that it was only a matter of time before one of the British media felt brave enough to allude to this story.

It had already been exposed by Stephen Colbert on American TV, and more and more people were discussing these rumours and accepting that there was substance to them.

In fact, Kate’s revelation was probably forced in order to put a stop to all this, rather than from any feeling of obligation to share her own health news.

Whether or not it will work, we will have to see in the next two weeks.

If the upcoming solar eclipse is not a trigger related to Kate’s last Saturn transit, it is probably going to be connected with the next one.

In April 2027, transit Saturn will reach 19 Aries and form a Grand Cross to Kate’s T Square, just as the solar eclipse will be doing.

In the same month, transit Neptune will be exactly square to William’s 7th house Moon.

This is obviously going to be a pivotal period in both their lives and the current eclipses would be acting as an early flag of these events.

As I have said many times, specific astrological prediction is a tricky business, this is why so many astrologers do their best to avoid it.

All you can do is look at what is already happening in the person’s life at the time and project forward given the nature of the transits and house placings that are being triggered and come up with the most likely scenario.

So with all this happening to Kate’s chart and William’s 7th house, that seemed to be divorce.

Such a prediction is a simple and obvious one, irrespective of whether you are a monarchist or a republican, in the Wills and Kate camp or the Harry and Meghan one.

But early eclipses will bring a flavour of what is to come and since this pair have so far brought Kate’s cancer diagnosis, a divorce would perhaps be the least of her worries.

Either way the lunar eclipse in Cancer/Capricorn in July 2027 which forms a T square with an apex Saturn could be very bit as final for her as the one in 2022 was for Elizabeth.
